The game is so broken. Online lobby, pick Elimination Chamber, then change the match to anything else and chaos happens. You can just run and glide into the crowd.

At least one of the hidden trophies is a "Win as _________" vs. AI in "Play" (Exhibition). Can't see any of the hidden ones on "playstationtrophies.org" trophy list page for the game yet, though, so there may be just that one hidden one like that or quite a few.

How are 8-man matches? I'm hearing a lot of people saying they're borderline unplayable due to the lag but they've seemed fine based on a few videos I watched.

Fine on PS4 Pro, apparently not fine on PS4 or XB1. Seen a complaint that anything above 3 is bad on XB1

I remember early on in the series when they jumped from 4 on screen on PS1 all the way up to 8 with Just Bring It. If you would've asked me how many people we would be able to have on screen 16 years and 2 console generations later, I'd have told you we'd be able to have 20 man battle royals.

Madden and FIFA have 22 highly detailed players on the field at once along with refs and coaches and you don't see framerates crashing wildly. Although in fairness there's a lot less variety needed in graphics and textures when most of the players are dressed the same. That's why for as insanely detailed as MLB The Show is, they've never gotten to a point where you can have an All Star Game where every player wears his actual team uniform like they do in real life.

I've gotten as far as making it to the main roster with my created wrestler in MyCareer. Kinda sucks there's no voice acting for the wrestlers dialogue. STOP MAKING ME READ THINGS, VINCE!

Like, seriously I hate to be that guy that comes into a thread for a game and touts an alternative, but....it's STILL so busted. After all the backlash from every other year. It's not any better. The QA might even be getting worse every year. It's fucking ridiculous.

I decided to try fixing the MITB thing by dropping the belt at the next PPV and had a match against Epico (much realism), so I then cashed it in against him and it semi worked...

It's like they've seen how popular nL have gotten with their videos laughing at glitches that they decided to break the game in as many ways as possible.

Finally got rid of the MITB briefcase after switching to Raw on the 4th cash in. Beat Joe.

The weird thing is that when you do the cash in match, you warp back to the parking lot. Normally, you talk to your producer. So I left for the week.

The next week on Raw, I went over to my producer and he congratulated me like I just game through gorilla, then Steph congratulated me on winning the title and then I could just go home.

I'm going to drop the title at Fastlane because I won the Royal Rumble and I feel like I'll be playing against myself again if I go in as champ...

So comparing this to every wresling game ever what does this one do WELL?

Looks like I'm done, whole mode is broken as if I can't do side quests, I can't get attribute points.

There's the same few quests I can do.

1. Talk to AJ or Finn depending on the brand who will challenge me to a match at the next PPV. This quest will glitch and start counting the weeks down through negatives and never end
2. Talk to Matt Bloom to manage Chris Chaos, but I really don't want to manage
3. A legend in Vinces office will challenge me to get 4 star matches for 3 weeks. This will make me double booked that week and the quest will end
4. Timed quests, MITB and Royal Rumble which are glitched

I'll raise this all as a ticket to 2k support, like it will do anything, but fuck it

Carrying and throwing people off the cell is fun. The models do look a lot better when playing than they do in stills and it's the best looking game they've done. A lot of new reversal and standing up animations work well in keeping a flow of the match. Universe is slightly better, but you're still limited to the whole 3 rivalries per show thing. Road to Glory, the CAW online mode has a good idea behind it. Even if you lose, you keep the stars you earn in the match, so you could actually talk to your opponent and call the spots so you both come out with 5 stars, but good luck with that.

Otherwise it plays almost exactly the same as 2k17 and all that.
