Brigstocke 05-21-2011 03:05 AM

Brigstocke, clearing understanding the depths of your arse.

Requiem 05-21-2011 08:37 PM

Wish it was Sunday already cause I am pumped for the next episode. I have gotten a group of people hooked on this now. Been keeping the episodes on my flash drive and offering them to anyone that likes good TV. Gotten several hooked now.

Snowden 05-22-2011 01:01 AM

Really really torn about reading the books. I've bought them, but I dunno when I want to start them. I figure I'll love the books, but I love the series as well...which one do I spoil? :(

Requiem 05-22-2011 01:50 AM

The season is supposed to cover the entire first book. Next season, the next.. etc.. So I would just wait till each season to read a book or something.

Brigstocke 05-22-2011 02:34 AM

I've got Mrs Stocke and Her mum and a few of the lads at work watching, I downloaded torrents of the first five episodes and handed them out on discs at work.

Brigstocke 05-23-2011 07:48 AM

Just watched this weeks episode, downloaded it because I couldn't wait till it airs here tonight.

Best one yet, the scene with the skydoor was amazing and Tyrion was absolutely brilliant. The scenes involving the Doth'Raki were great, they really set them apart as savages with the rituals they performed and a surprise death aswell.

Miotch 05-23-2011 02:04 PM

Another amazing episode, though I kind of wish I hadn't read the book. Knowing what's coming takes something away. I dunno.

They handled the crowning fucking amazingly though.

Requiem 05-23-2011 04:36 PM

Awesome episode again. Glad I haven't read the book yet. Going to read the first after this season probably, though if I love it I might have a problem keeping from reading the rest before the rest of the show airs.

Miotch 05-23-2011 05:07 PM

For those of you who haven't read the books, who do you think is the next major character to get offed?

Miotch 05-23-2011 05:08 PM

Also I recommend reading the books. They're phenomenal, and I'm still thoroughly enjoying the show.

I just started the 3rd book and am 10 chapters in or so.

Nark Order 05-23-2011 05:16 PM

Miotch snoozed and now all the Kingslayers are belong to us.

Miotch 05-23-2011 05:44 PM

I claimed it, though I refuse to change my avatar because it is awesome.

Miotch 05-23-2011 05:44 PM

So really that's just like my sloppy seconds there narc

The Destroyer 05-23-2011 05:52 PM

Another great episode.

Bit annoyed about the death, but oh well. Shit happens.

Miotch 05-23-2011 05:58 PM

Why does that death annoy you? That always seemed like an inevitability to me.

The Destroyer 05-23-2011 06:09 PM

Hmm.

SPOILER: show
I actually quite liked Viserys. Not sure why, I just liked how pathetic and needy he came across and I've always liked Harry Lloyd as an actor. I was fully expecting him to die eventually, just a shame it had to come so soon. Suppose he went out in style at least.

Corporate CockSnogger 05-25-2011 05:12 PM

Gave the first episode a watch following Brigstockes reccomendation.

While it didn't grab me in like pilots of other shows that I love(d), it did interest me enough for me to check out the next couple of episodes. I'll form a proper opinion after a couple more episodes. Am I right in saying there's 6 episodes out at the moment?

The blonde bird is fit.

Miotch 05-25-2011 05:14 PM

6, yes, but I believe 7 is floating around the internet as well.

4 knuckles up 05-27-2011 10:05 AM

Good lord I love this show. Gutted Viserys died, such a well acted character. The Imp steals just about every scene he's in. Sean Bean is reliably good... Oh, and i've been really impressed with all the child actors, too. Particularly the youngest Stark child. Spot on!

/Hopefully my new picture of Bronn is up, too!

Miotch 05-27-2011 02:36 PM

I don't think you've actually seen much of the youngest Stark child, though I assume you mean Arya who is the 2nd youngest.

The Destroyer 05-27-2011 04:41 PM

Yeah ok, I'll join in. But not as Brigstocke's choice. :(

Requiem 05-27-2011 04:46 PM

Miotch is too lame to sit with the cool kids at lunch. This thread is almost completely full of win, just looking at everyone's avatars. :)

I think Catelyn, Robert Baratheon, Ned Stark and Uncle Benjin will all die eventually, but I think Littlefinger may be next.

I'm guessing the books carry on over a large time frame and as the story progresses some of the younger characters like Joffrey, The Younger Stark children and Catelyn's Nephew who still sucks booby will be replaced with older actors for future seasons?

Nark Order 05-28-2011 01:19 PM

Just posting for avatar sequence.

Brigstocke 05-28-2011 03:00 PM

We really need a Khal Drogo.

Requiem 05-29-2011 01:12 AM

Would have picked him had I not chosen The Imp. Looking forward to seeing him slaughter people at some point. Hoping it happens this season and that I don't have to wait.

Downunder 05-30-2011 09:51 AM

Just saw the 7th episode - holy shit, this series just gets better and better.

The Destroyer 05-30-2011 10:03 AM

Downunder saves the day.

Boomer 05-30-2011 10:25 AM

The book is really worth reading, and I don't think they could be doing any better considering the length of the source material. What they've changed or omitted mostly makes sense.

Still some crazy shit to go, my friends.

The Destroyer 05-30-2011 10:49 AM

I've got no desire to read the books while the show is still on the air. I'd rather be surprised.

Maybe a few years down the line once the series is over, I'll look at reading them.

Dark-Slicer Diago 05-30-2011 10:57 AM

I agree with Destroyer, I'll read the books after the series ends.

Requiem 05-30-2011 11:02 AM

Wow, show is fucking intense.

SPOILER: show
Knew little finger couldn't be trusted.

Boomer 05-30-2011 04:07 PM

Well the first book is almost over anyway, so you might as well read it after the finale while you wait for the second "season".

The Destroyer 05-30-2011 05:07 PM

Far too much backstabbing and betrayal going on here.

Only 3 more episodes to go. :(

Brigstocke 05-31-2011 03:06 AM

Simply brilliant. Little Stocke has the first book on hi shopping list for fathers day.

St. Jimmy 05-31-2011 04:47 AM

I kind of want all episodes of this show to be over and done, all seasons. I hate waiting and just want to watch it from start to finish right now.

This show makes me feel like:

Snowden 05-31-2011 01:26 PM

Just finished watching episode 7...the build to the climax (pardon the sequential posting pun) of the story has absolutely been brilliant. Very very curious to see when the White Walkers play a role in things up at the wall.

We've got White Walkers and Khal Drogo both making their way to King's landing, and an absolute storm of shit in the capital. When all these three things converge...madness

Amazing.

Snowden 05-31-2011 07:20 PM

Love how Joffrey sounds like such a little pansy bitch.
