So Charlie Ward literally killed a guy in an mma fight. He is McGregors buddy, fight took place in Ireland. Is this the first time a guy dies due directly from an mma fight?

Bisping is finally getting a title shot

WAR HENDO

Innovator 06-04-2016 10:54 PM

HENDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Nicky Fives 06-05-2016 10:48 AM

That Hendo fight was amazing....I'm a moderate UFC fan at most, but am I the only guy in the world that likes Bisping? I've liked him ever since his debut on TUF (the first season I watched) and he's one of the few fighters (alongside GSP) who I will go out of my way to catch their fights live, if not find them online elsewhere afterwards....I can't really explain it, it's not his style or personality that draws me in, but there's something deep inside that makes me like him....

Heyman 06-07-2016 11:26 AM

Clerk would "most likely" get off to the idea of smelling Jon Jones feet while simultaneously engaging in masturbation.

Says the man with a shirtless Jon Jones for his avatar.

It's ok homie.

Your penis erects when you see black men.

The bids are in the $4 billion range, give or take a little in either direction.

According to reports, UFC is getting sold for around $4.2 billion

So from a timing standpoint, I was expecting this at any time. At this point we have not been able to independently confirm this story but WME/IMG was the favorite for the past week. The story lists Garry Cook as the probable new CEO in the spot formerly held by Lorenzo Fertitta. Cook in that spot had also been expected. The story states Dana White will stay and will also have some ownership interest.

For some comparisons, if the WWE were to be sold right now, they'd be worth in the $1.2 billion to $1.45 billion range according to the Observer.

CM Punks debut on September 10th is at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, the very same arena he walked out of on the 1/27/14 episode of RAW.

Jon Jones taken off UFC 200 card for doping.

And we can close the curtain on his career cant we? This is the last straw right? You cant keep embarrassing the company like that. Not with new owners too. Good bye Johnny Jones.

Rebirth 07-07-2016 12:15 AM

Wow. I'm stunned seriously. UFC was billing this as the greatest card ever. And might have been. Jon Jones is an idiot. Screwed the UFC, screwed the fans and screwed himself.

Rebirth 07-07-2016 12:16 AM

I doubt they find Cromier a fighter to fight on Saturday, but i'm just saying... I bet Hendo would take that fight in a heartbeat. Make it a catch weight if you have to.

Emperor Smeat 07-07-2016 09:26 PM

Jon Jones removal from UFC 200 ended up hurting everyone else in the card in terms of pay percentages. Seems like instead of boosting certain fighters pay for their new spot on the card, either UFC is just paying them the same amount as before or UFC already expecting lower buys for the event.

Cormier v. The Spider is Oh-fishal

Mr. JL 07-08-2016 12:09 AM

Probably get even more buys now with Jones out and Silva in, especially with all the coverage.

Rebirth 07-08-2016 12:19 AM

I thought Silva was suspended for testing positive for something. Guess i was wrong.

Corndad 07-08-2016 12:33 AM

Tate's Fight is now Main Event because it's the only 5 round Title Fight left but order really doesn't matter to me. I think will be a pretty awesome night of fights. War Edgar.

So? what about them browns??

Seanny One Ball 02-08-2017 09:05 PM

UFC 208 on Feb 11th but it's a bit of a shit card. Nobody actually wants to see Derek Brunson beat Anderson Silva but looking at Andy's record I wouldn't be surprised if he did.
Anderson's last win was against Stephan Bonnar years ago...

Seanny One Ball 02-08-2017 09:10 PM

I just checked... It was four years and four months ago.

It’s official.

After more than three years away from the sport, former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre will make his return to the Octagon against current UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping.

The announcement was made by UFC president Dana White on ESPN’s “SportsCenter.”

St-Pierre, who last fought at UFC 167 in 2013 against Johny Hendricks, was engaged in an extremely long and tentative negotiation process with the UFC. The two sides finally struck a deal last week and the speculation regarding who the French-Canadian’s first opponent would be upon his return began.

There was some thought that a megafight between St-Pierre and UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor could be in play. However, with McGregor currently chasing after a boxing match with Floyd Mayweather, White said that particular fight was “not even close” to being made. Instead, St-Pierre will bump up in weight for the first time in his career and face Bisping.

“Georges St-Pierre is always in shape and takes care of himself physically so we’ll see what happens,” White said of St-Pierre’s long layoff and return to a higher weight class. “Everybody wants to take a shot at Michael Bisping. They think he’s beatable. Obviously, Georges St-Pierre is no different. He’s going to step up and try to take his 185-pound title.”

There’s currently no date scheduled for the fight although some signs point to UFC 213 on July 8 in Las Vegas. The July pay-per-view is always heavy on top tier talent and coincides with the company’s International Fight Week. The past few years have seen Conor McGregor, Anderson Silva, Brock Lesnar and a host of others fill up that July date.

It appeared that Bisping would defend his title against top contender Yoel Romero. However, with a big money fight against Georges St-Pierre, it looks like Romero will have to get back in line and hope to face the winner.

A press conference with St-Pierre and Bisping will be held this Friday in Las Vegas in advance of UFC 209.

Are Anderson Silva and GSP really that hard up for money?

Fuck me.

Just stay retired already and stop pissing away your legacy.

Ditto for Fedor.

Big Vic 12-15-2017 12:28 PM

Anderson signed a ~15 fight contract about 4 years ago.
