Brock Lesnar vs Undertaker

mark my words, next year at WM and Brock will end the streak.

dronepool 04-27-2012 04:11 AM

Even if Brock does face Taker, If Brock is leaving after WM- no way. If he stays, perhaps.

Sepholio 04-27-2012 09:24 AM

The only way I even see this match happening is if Brock is leaving WWE after WM. And as such, the streak will continue.

I'm starting to honestly think the streak will stay intact forever, kind of like a thank you to Taker for all his years at the top of the company.

I still say Sting should be the only person considered for a match where the streak might end. And that ain't gonna happen no matter how bad I want it.

DLVH84 04-27-2012 11:35 AM

Well, the one ace in the hole Brock has against Undertaker is beating him in a Hell In A Cell match.

JKWJRMON 04-27-2012 12:12 PM

If the streak does end, Cena or Orton will be the one to beat the Undertaker.

Swiss Ultimate 04-27-2012 12:35 PM

Gutsy prediction.

PrettyCool 04-27-2012 12:59 PM

Taker and Lesnar should have an "MMA Rules" match at Mania. Lesnar can say, "Yeah boy, no one ended your streak in a WRESTLING match, but how about we do it MMA style and ill whoop your ass!" and Taker can say, "This is my yard and you may be a former UFC champ but I am a master of MMA as well, so I think its time for me to show you why im undefeated at Wrestlemania".

Then basically Taker and Brock have a work MMA match (not for real) and after a LONG match, Taker wins with the gogoplata.
I think that would be amazing.

way better than another predictable Taker match

Sepholio 04-27-2012 01:17 PM

Orton beating Taker would be awesome actually. Return of the Legend Killer.

XL 04-27-2012 02:02 PM

Brock runs roughshod over WWE from now til early next year when Taker returns to challenge him to a match at Mania. Taker wins, The Streak stays intact, Taker defends WWE and "runs Brock out of town".

That's if Brock's contact expires at threw one year mark.

I like this idea.

XL 04-27-2012 03:04 PM

Personally I'd prefer for Lesnar to be sent packing by a younger guy so that his run is used to get somebody over/more over. Losing to Taker only for Taker to leave doesn't achieve that.

It does however achieve a "big"/"marquee" match for Mania and as that seems to be the current trend (Taker/HBK, Taker/HHH, Rock/Cena) I could see it happening.

Also, I'd prefer Taker v Brock that Brock v Rock.

evilution78 04-27-2012 05:01 PM

With HHH in charge, I don't see it happening for Brock.. Hunter has come out several times saying he doesn't think the streak should ever be broke.. and if it did happen it would just be one more accolade for a man with no appreciation for what he's been allowed to achieve in pro wrestling.... I'm not anti Brock, I just don't think he deserves it.... If anyone breaks the streak and I doubt it will ever happen, but it should be KANE!!!

That would be a great change of pace, as Undertaker has proven his submission skills over the years (i.e. Dragon Sleeper, Triangle Choke, Gogoplata, Achilles Hold).

Attitude99 04-29-2012 09:45 AM

The Streak will live forever.

Sepholio 04-29-2012 12:08 PM

What if he had a WM match that ended in a no contest, or double count-out, etc? Would his record be 20-0-1? Might be an interesting way to give someone a push, while sort of ending the streak and allowing Taker to retire without ever 'losing' at WM.

That is a good question there. I think they'll keep his streak as 20-0, as he'd never lost by pin, submission, disqualification, or countout.

Damndirty 04-30-2012 04:21 AM

Brock was not in WWE long enough for them to give him the win over Taker. I am not saying this because I'm a lifelong Taker fan, but because WWE's not gonna give it to some asshole who kept going on about how Vince's company was a fixed craphole and at the same time, bitched about the company's traveling schedule. As Nash said about HHH, it would not be good for business, because that would make them lose the draw for some sort of credibility in athleticism, and expand UFC's audience.

dronepool 04-30-2012 04:24 AM

Brock can be a threat to it for sure but Brock does not need to beat Undertaker's streak... save it as break glass in case of emergency to get someone over.

I agree! Brock is a tough fucker, I don't deny that, and making him job is stupid. But to kiss his ass enough would make WWE look weak compared to its rivals.

Eklipse 05-01-2012 01:54 PM

I honestly don't see 'Taker putting Lesnar over again. Especially at WM.
If they do have a match, the streak will not end.

I can see a Lesnar vs. Batista match or something, if Batista comes back.

'Taker vs CM Punk or Daniel Bryan would be good stuff though.

PrettyCool 05-01-2012 02:00 PM

Bautista coming back would be amazing.

Brock is in the ring talking trash when Batista's music hits and Batista walks out on the ramp.
Brock : YOU!

Batista : Yeah Brock, its me. You know what I think about you?

Brock : LIKE I CARE!

Batista : *does thumbs down* and walks down the ramp.

Jura 05-01-2012 02:04 PM

I can see Batista vs Lesnar if Batista is coming back and Lesnar is on his way out. Lesnar gets demolished and leaves the WWE and Batista's return has him back in an explosive way.

Zeeboe 05-03-2012 09:49 AM

I was hoping to see Batista vs Lesnar back in 2002. And a feud/match with Triple H, which is finally happening ten long years later, so maybe Batista/Lesnar will finally happen too.

A Batista/Lesnar match would be Goldberg/Lesnar 2. Brock Lesnar doesn't need that, and neither does WWE.

Now, Undertaker/Lesnar at WrestleMania 29 would be money.

It may be money, but look at it from this perspective. Lesnar will be coming up for a new deal and WWE will -probably- be trying to make him very happy to convince him to re-sign. Meaning if he goes in against Taker, they would most likely have to have him go over Taker. But this results in ending Takers legacy and risking upsetting him and numerous fans for having Brock of all people go over him.

What I'm saying is that this match ain't gonna happen.

Keith 05-03-2012 12:49 PM

I've read some reports that indicate that what Lesnar is most interested in is money, not his ego (winning and/or losing matches). If he had no problem losing to John Cena in his return match after 8 years and coming off a successful career at UFC, I doubt he'd have a problem losing to Undertaker at WrestleMania.

Nicky Fives 05-03-2012 03:16 PM

half right..... Lesnar will face Taker, but will NOT end The Streak..... no one will end The Streak, period.....

Jordan 05-03-2012 03:42 PM

I will not "mark your words" because they are wrong. Next.

You think 90% of fans know that Brock is on a one year deal?

Shisen Kopf 05-05-2016 01:20 AM

Ok, I was a year off on when it would happen but was I right about the streak being ended by Lesnar. I win the rasslin forum. Wooooooo!

Jordan 05-05-2016 10:07 AM

You got the SCOOPS

Mr. Nerfect 05-06-2016 08:08 PM

That is why you were at WrestleMania X-8.

Here is a report from Paul Heyman’s final UK one-man show, which took place in Glasgow (report courtesy of Wrestlinginc):

* Heyman brought up an interesting theory about the Streak ending which he said “Is it me f–king with you or am I telling you something you’re not supposed to know?”. He suggested the notion that it was actually planned that Taker was to go over at Wrestlemania 30, but Brock, in a shoot, beat down Taker so bad, and hooked Taker’s leg in a way, that he couldn’t kick out.

He explained that in that case, WWE could not fire Lesnar because he had just beaten the Undertaker’s streak and that the only way out of the situation was to go with Lesnar beating the streak. Heyman also mentioned that this explains why Lesnar’s music was not immediately played after he pinned Taker and why Taker collapsed as soon as he got through the curtain.

He also confirmed, if the story he told wasn’t true, that the only people who knew about the streak’s end was himself, Lesnar, Taker & Vince.
I don't think it's true. I think it's just a fun way to boost the notoriety of the moment even higher.
