"def rebel" are not that good at creating entrance music
I'm not suggesting that they haven't produced good themes but their body of work as a whole has too many duds and uninspiring generic tracks. In comparison, CFO$ had a ton of bangers even when their tracks we're necessarily flushed out and looped.
Where do you stand on this? The only def rebel entrance music I care for <iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/tbTwzMZ3u1k" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
Give me Jim Johnston all day all long. CFO$ has a few memorable ones tough too. Nakamura, Glorious, and Finn Balor.
|
Jim Johnston was great! Dislike what they’ve done to Corbin’s entrance music with respect to the king gimmick that has been going on since 2019. It’s time to stop.
|
These themes sound all too similar, don't they?

They are definitely the same notes being used. Nearly identical cadences as well.
I kinda get it with Lashley / Hurt Locker..... but not so much anymore that the faction is dissolved. |
Nothing stands out like it did in the past...which is a bummer.
|
While we're at it, I miss old titantron video schemes.

Johnny Gargano
Candice Larae Bayley Bronson Reed Isiah Scott Io Shirai Bobby Lashley Dexter Lumis Damien Priest Dakota Kai All the def rebel themes I like. That said, Jim Johnson is the GOAT |
A new perspective. Do you prefer them over CFO$?
|
I honestly don't see much difference between the two.
|
This was so cool back in the day

Def Rebel suffers from the same problems CFO$ had in regards to them having to crank out a ton of music at a time because WWE keeps going overboard with their constant signings and they likely don't get told much, if anything, about a wrestler for their themes.
Maybe even worse since they also had to change a lot of existing themes due to rights issues with CFO$ and their music company. |
Of course Jim Johnson but I did really enjoy a lot of CFO$ stuff , most of all Nakamura. Got to admit I am a big fan of when they get bands to do entrance songs. Big fan of Black’s and I like Rhea Ripleys too (live version was horrendous at Wrestlemania though) . Back in the day I had the CD with all the nu-metal bands doing the entrance songs that they went on to use.
Punk’s Killswitch entrance song was awesome and loved his Living Color one too. |
Random entrance music fact
Did you know Marc Mero and The Renegade had the exact same Entrance Theme at the same time even though Mero was in the WWF and Renegade in WCW |
The Ultimate Warrior theme knockoff?
|
|
lol completely forgot about Renegade’s heel run.
|
Lol the legendary turn on Joe Gomez
|
CFO$ did Sami Zayn's original theme(not sure if he changed it). Love that one.
