Character posters: SPOILER: show |
Looking forward to this
Cast looks stellar.
Watched the first two episodes. Was ok.
Maybe cause I recently listened to the Audible version, but the Audible one is my preferred adaptation thus far... |
It picks up episode 3. I'm on 9 right meow..so good.
Just watched the first episode. Interested to see where it goes.
The woman playing Johanna Constantine can liquid shit in my mouth
Me too
Just finished season 1. Nice setup for season 2. At least it's on Netflix and not HBO Max and a money maker so WB Discovery won't kill it.
Just watched episode 3 and 4.... getting better but still feeling a lot less grandiose than the Audible adaptation or what I remember of the original comic.
I like giving him Matthew to bounce off of, a good way to get him to talk more. Gwendolyn Christie delivered a great performance as Lucifer. I liked that change. Hell felt underwhelming, but I guess would be hard/too horrifying to adapt the comics.... I did like the battle though and the added element of visuals/physical manifestations.... |
Finished episode 5, and thus the first "storyline". Feel like my enjoyment is suffering a lot from listening to the Audible one and comparing it with that...... feel like if I hadn't listened to that I'd be enjoying this a lot more.
Dude who played John Dee was great.... |
"Interested" to see how they adapt Hector/Lyta Hall into the show.... I guess you can pretty much just erase them being superheroes... wonder if he still gets to play superhero in The Dreaming though...
Bonus episode dropped today.
Bonus episode is just as excellent as the first 10.
The story telling in this show, with the various allotments of time to tell them, has been excellent. The bonus episode is 58 minutes and tells two entirely different stories and yet somehow it fully fleshes out each story, with perfect pacing...and makes it make perfect sense.

word
Finished watching up to episode 10..... mixed feelings on the second story arc.... again think I prefer the Audible adaptation version, but then on the other hand this did things/changes that I did really enjoy...
Will watch the "bonus episode" sometime soon... |
I just watched ep 1 today. It's a prologue, so I can't say how I feel in any direction, but it looks nice.
The prologue bit was pretty sweet in the Audible version, hence my kind of reservations about this show from the start..... really think listening to that so recently did a lot to hinder my enjoyment of the show.... still enjoyed it I guess....
Just finished 103 and it feels like the story has finally began. Slow start but it seems worth it
Watched the bonus episode.... good stuff... Neil Gaiman has a tremendous voice, just have to say... he does stupid awesome as the narrator of the Audible adaptation, and was good to hear him voice a character in this.
I liked the changes they made to the Calliope story |
Just finished ep 10. The run was really good but ive gotta say the actress playing Rose was terrible. Completely one-note. She has all the range of a paper air plane in the pouring rain. "Strong confidence" ad nauseum. She brings nothing to the role literally anyone could have.
Mate of mine is an extra in this. He’s in episode 6 when they meet for the second time in the pub.
GG. Would Netflix please go ahead and green light season 2. JFC
Right now they're blaming the hesitation on people not binging it in one sitting |
Netflix has reportedly renewed The Sandman, an adaptation of Neil Gaiman's DC comic, for a second season. via IGN.
