Seth FREAKIN Rollins
This guy is on absolute fire on Twitter right now.
It's nice to see somebody is still passionate about WWE. The writing has sucked, but in ring ability, they have an abundance of talent. The chair smashing trash talking Rollins, I'll cheer that all day long. |
One of the keys to kayfabe is you need to have at least a half truth. Oof.
|
I find his Twitter rants to be dumb as fuck, assuming he's doing them on his own and not at WWE's behest.
A wrestler of his ilk has a lot of crossover appeal with the AEW and NJPW fanbase, and he's damaging that. Him putting over WWE is one thing, but him using it as a means to rag on others makes him look needlessly petulant and childish, and risks turning a loyal fanbase on him. It doesn't read like the actions of a babyface main event talent. |
Eh what's gpod for the goose is good for the gander the problem is you cant tell people you have good art they have to tell you
|
Whether the product is shit or not, he’s the champ, and therefore the face of the brand at the moment. Promoting the brand and defending it from naysayers is part of that.
|
He's made Ospreay look like slightly less of a dickhead so now we can all enjoy his upcoming G1 matches a little bit more. Thanks Seth.

He also isn't just going out of his way burying others, he is also putting over WWE wrestlers. That is a very babyface thing to do. |
I'd like to know if his relationship with Becky Lynch and where they're going with it on TV is all his idea or if this is something of Vince/Creative.

Seth is right of course. This is the most talented roster they’ve ever had, capable of putting on 5 star matches every night.
Which makes the fact that WWE fucks it up at every opportunity all the more infuriating. |
5 star matches dont sell tickets

oof.
|
The fact that Rollins started bringing up irrelevant shit like his bank account just proves that he’s a douchebag.
|
Being raised in Iowa, the trash talk is embedded into the lot of us there. Next, he'll brag about his family's yield of Corn, then y'all will definitely be shook
|
Rollins looks so bad after he brought up the bank account thing hahahah
|
I don't have a problem with him defending the company that he's at the top of right now, agree with him or not.
|
There's tons of ways to defend the company that are more credible than this. defend the amount of eye balls on the product each week vs any competitor. defend the charity they do. defend the hours on the road they put in. you could keep going. this approach will win over no one.
|
real bad look
|
John Cena never got into any twitter wars with people outside the company, to my knowledge.
When people took shots at him, Cena said more with his silence than Rollins has in all his Twitter responses combined. |
Business is also cratering with Rollins as champ.
|
I miss the old Seth Rollins on twitter; the one that would cheat on is fiance with a coworker and try to fuck his fans.
|
 Ospreay already has a Little Guy shirt out
nice job cashing in |

He also just did an interview with Bleacher Report in which he said Moxley took his ball and went home.

He didnt go home though
|
I feel like Roman went through something similar last year. He wasn't the champ but was the de-facto top guy with Lesnar not working for months at a time. When the camera weren't rolling, Reigns would flip off and curse out fans booing him and he'd call out people on Twitter who were talking bad about WWE all the time, and I think he mentioned the money he was making too.
Almost makes me wonder if this is a directive from Vince for the #1 guy to act like this. |
Quote:
At least he went 25 minutes with Big Cass, career highlight! The bank account comment by Rollins is doesn't prove much, but neither does Ospreays "I'm better cause I've had more matches this year" comment. Both seem like a dumb way to argue your case. |

Definitely think there's something to it being a Vince directive.
Who refuses feels the need to publicly fire back at everybody? Trump. Who is Vince friends with? Trump. I really think the idea of simply taking the high road like Cena won't resonate with Vince anymore. He feels you need to fire back at your critics or you're a pushover. |
I really hope this is a Vince directive. Because all it’s done is make his top babyface look like a prick while giving a rising star in another promotion a bunch of free publicity. That sounds about right.
|
Its def free publicity

Maybe they scripted his promos because without this "muh WWE hate", he didn't have Anything good to say. That's cool, he can play the victim all he wants to get himself over, it's an original concept for anybody who has never watched Impact... |

Seth rollings is a good wrestler with boring promos, boring character development, boring writing, working for a boring company which loses ratings month after month.
