Why not? There's enough threads in this forum that end after 2 or 3 posts, so this sort of makes sense.

Plus, I need a forum to rant about my hatred of Kirstie Alley, and I don't really want to make a DwtS thread because I'm manly, and don't watch it. :shifty:

Anyway, fuck Kirstie Alley, and fuck you voters too. Chelsea was hot. :'(

What Would Kevin Do? 05-25-2011 11:13 AM

And just to prove my point.

http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tcNTU0PUph...rs+Handbag.jpg

The other Chelsea was insanely hot as well.

Haven't watched DWTS, but I also hate Kirstie Alley.

What Would Kevin Do? 05-25-2011 11:24 AM

Thank you. Your hatred makes me feel like there is still good in this world.

Come on fellow TPWWers, let us united in hatred! Hatred of Kirstie Alley!

Schlomey 05-25-2011 11:40 AM

I hate watching movies I have wanted to see forever and they suck. Bad movies suck.

What Would Kevin Do? 05-25-2011 11:55 AM

Yes, yes they do. Especially when you're hyped, and you go and see it in the theater. Such a let down. Especially because there's that moment you realize it's awful, but you know you're going to stick it out.

Jura 05-25-2011 12:14 PM

I keep looking for new episodes out of habit but then I remember most shows have already had their season finale.

I liked Kristie Alley in that Tooth Fairy movie. When I was a kid. Though there was one part where she was being sent in an elevator down to Hell that used to scare me.

There's serious discussion about giving Wines Hard a parade over his win. Really? Really?

What Would Kevin Do? 05-25-2011 10:48 PM

Really?

I fucking despise shit like that in this economy. I'm from Toledo, and we had some chick from the area do well on American Idol, and they through her a fucking parade, and rented out the stadium for a viewing party. Of course, our city's budget is in the fucking gutter, but who cares about that? We gotta support our reality stars.

For fuck's sake.

Really?

Anyone remember the Twilight Zone or Outer Limits episode about the US Army finding a dimensional window in the desert where they can see a family in a country setting? One of the scientist watches a girl through this window and falls in love with her so he decides to go through if the window ever opens. They use a device that shoots an ice cube against the dimensional window every few seconds and has someone who watches it.

I do remember the Twilight Zone where there were 2 kids, and the parents were getting a divorce, and they kept diving into the pool, which had some sort of a portal to another dimension, where this nice old lady took care of them.

Rewatching Breaking Bad right now. The chick who plays Skylar White seriously freaks me out now. Something wrong with her eyes. I feel like they are too wide, or too white, or something. Something just looks off. It makes me widen my own eyes whenever I see her on screen.

Then you absolutely should, it is worth stealing from her and never speaking again because of it. I started from season 1 again maybe 7-8 days ago because I finally got the box set for what will be my 3rd time through and tonight I'll finish season 3. It's like crack, even after this many viewings. Should czech out Breaking Bad if you haven't already like WWKD and Lock Jaw mentioned, possibly the best show currently running on TV and a new season starts in the next few weeks.

I'm another one who still hasn't The Wire. I've been waiting on a mate of mine to lend me the boxsets but he's always "too busy" to bring htem round when I ask. Probably just going to have to buy them myself.

XL 06-05-2011 04:32 AM

Or go pick them up?

XL 06-05-2011 04:34 AM

I've seen the odd ep of The Wire but never got into it. Perhaps I should give it a go from the start.

Having said that, I've had seasons 1 - 3 of Mad Men for 6 months and it's still in the plastic wrapper.

Lock Jaw 06-05-2011 10:51 PM

I've got season 1 of Mad Men sitting on my computer. Watched the first episode ages ago, but didn't really make me go "OH MY I NEED TO SEE MORE" and so I haven't yet.

PapaGeorgio 06-05-2011 11:30 PM

I gave The Wire a chance few years back, made it halfway through season 2. Just stopped watching it for some reason. Moved a bit slow, but was enjoying it. Just downloaded season 1 to give it another shot.

As for Mad Men, bought season 1 and 2 on Blu-Ray for mad cheap, not knowing much about the show besides it being critically acclaimed. Watched a few episodes, just never really clicked for me.

Just started watching Quantum Leap, badass so far.

Droford 06-06-2011 04:34 AM

Ive seen bits and pieces of the Wire when Directv runs it uncut on 101/Audience but there doesnt seem to be a consistent schedule with it. I do have a DVR but its hard to schedule the recordings when they show the same ep multiple times..anyway..

Going to Kmart in a couple of hours...they've got the Blu Rays of Sin City, and both Kill Bills for $8 a piece which is just great. Also, Amazon has BTTF Blu Ray set for $24.99 though its back ordered up a ton.

It's not quite old enough to be considered a "Classic" cartoon - give it about 5 more years.

Kalyx triaD 06-18-2011 03:15 AM

Not really. Nostalgia sells, and it seems the ripe period is 15-20yrs before somebody decides to reintroduce adults to their childhood faves (and introduce the new generation to blah blah blah). In about 5yrs or so, the 90s will be raped for all it was worth.

A young man is confined in a mental hospital. Through a flashback we see that he was traumatized as a child, when he and his family were circus performers: he saw his father cut off the arms of his mother, a religious fanatic and leader of the heretical church of Santa Sangre ("Holy Blood"), and then commit suicide. Back in the present, he escapes and rejoins his surviving and armless mother. Against his will, he "becomes her arms" and the two undertake a grisly campaign of murder and revenge.

Jamie Foxx Joins Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained
TV Guide - July 5, 2011 7:20 PM PDT

The Oscar winner will play the titular character, a freed slave who tries to rescue his long-lost love, Broomhilda, from a plantation owner, Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio), with the help of a German bounty hunter, who will be played by Inglourious Basterds' Christoph Waltz. Fellow Tarantino alum Samuel L. Jackson also stars as Candie's slave, Stephen, while Kerry Washington, Foxx's Ray co-star, is in talks to play Broomhilda.

"I think, just to be able to work with Quentin Tarantino and Samuel Jackson, Leonardo DiCaprio, and to be able to tell a story that needs to be told," Foxx told CNN, explaining why he took the role. "If you're a fan of, I mean, you know — it's just amazing. It should be [an] amazing [thing]."

Tarantino originally offered the lead role to Will Smith, who turned it down. He then met with Idris Elba, Terrence Howard and Chris Tucker before casting Foxx, according to Variety.

Django Unchained is scheduled to hit theaters Christmas Day 2012.
Usually I wouldn't think much of a movie like this but it's a Quentin Tarantino movie so it's gonna be different and maybe has some crazy action and then you got DiCaprio along for the ride as well.

I'm the same. Also I'm glad the role went to Foxx. He seems to fit right compared to the other names.

parkmania 07-06-2011 02:32 PM

Friday Night Lights star Adrianne Palicki, whose Wonder Woman pilot was rejected by NBC, is joining the cast of G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes. Palicki will play Lady Jaye, a Bryn Mawr educated covert operations specialist. She joins a cast with a number of returnees from the 2009 G.I. Joe film including Channing Tatum (Duke), Ray Park (Snake Eyes), and Lee Byung-hun (Storm Shadow) as well as new additions, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who has signed on to play Roadblock, D.J. Cotrona, who will take on the role of the shotgun-wielding, beret-wearing Flint, Elodie Yung, who is playing the ninja-trained Jinx, and rapper/actor RZA, who will play a martial arts guru known as the Blind Master, who trained both Snake Eyes and Jinx.

Since Lady Jaye (real name Alison R. Hart-Burnett) is usually depicted with fairly short hair, will this mean that Palicki will have to trim her bountiful locks? We should know soon because Paramount is rushing the Jon M. Chu-directed G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes into production so that it can be ready to debut next summer and fill the void in the studio’s schedule left because the Star Trek sequel won’t be anywhere near ready for the tentpole season in 2012.

According to Deadline, the studio wants Bruce Willis to play the original G.I. Joe, Joe Colton in the movie, but no deal has been signed.

Captain America will keep its patriotic full title in most of the world when the superhero adventure hits the big-screen.

Paramount Pictures and Marvel Studios gave distributors around the world the option of shortening the title of "Captain America: The First Avenger" to simply "The First Avenger," out of concern about anti-American sentiment.

But the only countries that took them up on it were Russia, Ukraine and South Korea.
FUCK YOU!!! Russia, Ukraine and South Korea

Kalyx triaD 07-06-2011 02:46 PM

Actually that makes sense, I approve.

You see... America, from the outside looking in, is a really fucked up country. I'm not sure of its chances with the hero dressed like our flag despite the name. We'll see, I guess.
