Also I'm a nerd so I totally marked when Supergirl said "General, would you please care to step outside?" floating outside a window with her arms crossed

Destor 11-29-2017 07:26 PM

Pt4 ix a home run too. Best tv cross over ever.

They really went all out with this year's crossover.... if they still have all the shows next season I am curious to how they could possibly even try to top that.....

SPOILER: show
RIP Martin Stein

I knew he was leaving the show but I didn't expect them to kill him off. I freakin lost it emotionally when Jax was telling his wife/daughter.

That scene was aces and tough

slik 11-29-2017 08:24 PM

Have heard great buzz on Crisis on Earth X, going to watch...have not watched any of the the shows tho

Destor 11-29-2017 09:31 PM

That wouldnt be very pleasing i think. Most of it is culminating interpersonal dramas across 6 years of tv

slik 11-29-2017 09:34 PM

Yeah, I kind of get that. I made it about 20 minutes into part 1 and realized I was in over my head. (still my search YT for cool fight scenes tho).

Same. Speaking of which ,Superman 1-4 marathon for me this weekend.

Simple Fan 12-03-2017 01:42 PM

Hated this cross over. Worst they've done in my opinion. All the love arcs are getting annoying and they ruined Snart.

Destor 12-03-2017 01:53 PM

You have the worst taste in everything

Destor 12-03-2017 01:53 PM

How did they ruin snart?

Lock Jaw 12-03-2017 02:23 PM

He kissed a boy, ewwwww gross

Simple Fan 12-03-2017 02:58 PM

I have no problem with Smart being gay but damn, he was super gay. The death of Grey was good and probably the best story of the crossover. When you've got Barry/Iris, Oliver/Felicity, Sarah/Danvers, SS Girl/SS Oliver, Snart/The Ray all taking up time with their drama, its overkill. Alot of it was predictable and didn't have anything to with the crisis.

Destor 12-03-2017 04:24 PM

Alternate snart sucks some dick and fan is outraged

Destor 12-03-2017 04:25 PM

No matter how much dick snart does or does not suck it wont make him a good character

Simple Fan 12-03-2017 06:53 PM

Far from outraged. Crossover just sucked and was more suited for a Valentines Day special. Why does every character have to have a stupid love interest/angel that waste so much time of the show? Most of which has nothing to do with the show and is just propaganda.

Destor 12-03-2017 06:57 PM

You ever read a comic before? Love interests are half the books

Lock Jaw 12-03-2017 07:01 PM

Yeah, I liked it all.... gave some "personal/emotional moments" in and amongst the chaos..... if it was just non-stop action with no character moments it would get boring.

Also, what do you mean by saying it is "propaganda"?

Simple Fan 12-03-2017 07:04 PM

This was 3/4, and usually have something to with the the story. Crisis could have done without Sarah/Danvers, Oliver/Felicity and Snart/The Ray and maybe they could have explored Earth X a bit more. Was The Ray being on earth X even explained?

Lock Jaw 12-03-2017 07:09 PM

How was it "propaganda", though? What kind of propaganda?

Only emotional moment was Steins death. Nothing else was even remotely emotional and was forced. Propaganda is what these CW shows do all the time to push their political agenda. It the most prevalent on Supergirl. As someone who doesn't give a shit about politics I think it'd waste of time that could be used for something better. Not just fighting but actual character development instead of the relationship development. Hell they even do it relationship drama while they fight.

Lock Jaw 12-03-2017 07:12 PM

Oh, ok. Thanks for clearing it up.

Destor 12-03-2017 07:12 PM

I think propaganda is code for no more fags

Wait a minute so because media acknowledges that gay couples I dunno exist its propaganda?

Doesn't that make the pairing of every straight couple propaganda too?

(I cant imagine what signal you'd be trying to send out with either one of those but)

Having fags is fine but they don't do it in a realistic way and force it. Sarah is about the best one as she doesn't come with all the drama and just wants to bang. Mr Terrific isn't bad either and they don't over do him.

I don't understand what you're saying. Most their straight couples on the shows suck as well and are always a distraction from the story the episode is telling in my opinion, same with most the comedy in the shows and comic book movies in general. If you guys don't see the political propaganda that these shows try to push then I don't know what to tell you but it there.

So the stereotype is what you have a problem with

Lock Jaw 12-03-2017 07:46 PM

Sounds more like he has a problem when any kind of relationship is given any kind of attention. If it is just "superficial" like Sarah having casual sex with someone, then it is good.

Destor 12-03-2017 07:47 PM

Yeah...which is weirdnsince these kinds of angles have been present in all shows from the very beginning

Simple Fan 12-03-2017 08:07 PM

No its the over abundance of relationships that receive a lot of air time that has nothing to with the show or the story the episode is telling. Alot of which not all involve their gay characters because they've just thrown them in to push an agenda. Supergirl is the worst of the shows with it many sub plots focused on almost every character having some type of relationship that they use to do so.

Destor 12-03-2017 08:10 PM

Which has been the case soce the beginning

Im not disagreeing that is politicized asnthe shows have all be super open about that but that too has been there since atleast super girl s1

Not any because I understand they are used to develop character but its over used in my opinion in this crossover in my opinion. Barry and Iris I'm fine with, Sarah/Danvers made sense but they made to much of it. Snart and The Ray was understandable dealing with Nazis but wasn't explained much and felt forced. Just sick of Oliver and Felicity all together.

Yeah and Supergirl is the worst of the shows in my opinion. This crossover had a very Supergirl feel to it all the way through. I understand how the shows are but sometimes they over do it and I feel they did so here.

JimmyMess 12-03-2017 08:29 PM

I loved the crossover.... my only gripe with the story, and I get that Supergirl is the main focus of her show... but if you have a universe where Superman exists... you might want to call him during a situation like Earth X invading.

Like I said, I totally get why he wasn't a part of it from the show's perspective... but yeah... Superman could have made pretty quick work of this situation haha

Well then we would need to have ultraman and I imagine the himsnorting Kryptonite like coke thing may not have gone over too well

Blonde Moment 12-03-2017 08:43 PM

Snart's sexuality makes no difference to the character aside from this version seeming to be more touchy feely

well yes then ultraman would exist. but then the story would have shifted to those two instead of the main characters. So I get it, but yeah, still weird to me.

Supergirl has the same powers, you know.

That being said, I think it would be great to have Superman in next year's crossover if the shows still exist and it happens.

Destor 12-03-2017 10:35 PM

3/4 will def exist. If legends can keep the budget low It will be fine...big issue is cw has no spots in their line up and lowest performers must be cut so they can try new ideas...crazy ex is def the lowest though so legends will prob be fine...probably

Lock Jaw 12-03-2017 11:27 PM

Also CW is like the anti-Fox wherein they seem to rarely cancel shows and let them go on for years and years. What the hell season is Supernatural in?
