Edwards and Drake will now fight it out to a oin fall or submission. The two that started the match.

Pulling for Drake here.

Eli Drake is the new GFW Champion. ELI DRAKE.
Lashleys MMA team attacked a referee again and the Dan Lambert shoved Scott D'amore to the ground. Lashley trying to keep peace but his MMA team wants him to stop wrestling and might be trying to sabotage his GFW career.
Eli Drake is GFW Global Heavyweight Championship though, I love it. Big fan of Drake and the confidence he has while on the mic and while he isn't the best in the ring I'll admit he's not bad. I think his reign could end up with a face turn as the Impact Zone crowd was behind him and he's got a similar EC3 vibe when he was at the peak of his push. I think Drake can really improve and be a new name for Impact. Glad they didn't throw it on Johnny Impact as a big name or Lashley again. Really digging Cornette and the feel of the show now, starting out to be a good taping but you never know about the next one.

Depends on how they're booking him. It worked for Flair in the '92 rumble.

I have no idea who Eli Drake even is, but that seems fitting.
He's definitely gotten on the bad side of Cornette who's been a face so far but with what he did in the gauntlet, Cornette might have come around to him. I think Cornette eventually turns depending on how much they actually use him as he doesn't seem to be real committed to them in the interview I heard him speak about it. As for Drake I think he's in a great spot to really prove himself with this push and hope he does. Glad they went with someone new and not the regular latest ex WWE guy.

I've looked up some Eli Drake promos. Guy seems to actually have a personality and isn't a typical little indy guy who doesn't look like he could beat up a 12 year old. So he's got something going for him.
The most criticism I've heard about him from other posters is that he acts to much like The Rock. Now if that's a criticism its a damn good on to have. I'd say the way he carries himself and the confidence he shows is Rock like and with him being around the Rock on that show I'm sure it's something he picked up from him, which isn't a bad thing. Alot worse promos out there than Eli Drake.
Just starting, Jeff Jarrett and Dan Lambert were arguing as Lashley and his MMA team entered the building.
Eli Drake is on his way out to the ring with his GFW Global Championship. Ring has a zebra print sofa in it.
Drake delivered a pretty good promo and Johnny Impact is on his way to the ring now.
Johnny wants a shot a the title and now Eddie Edwards is out.
Cornette came down and msdecsctag team match tonight with Drake & Adonis vs Johnny Impact & Eddie Edwards. If Eddie or Johnny vet the pin they get a title shot but if they loss neither gets it.
