Seanny One Ball 12-19-2019 06:36 PM

That's the best trailer I've seen for a long time.

It gave me chills and told me very little.

Lock Jaw 12-19-2019 07:03 PM

No idea what this is about, but it is Nolan, so I am interested....

"lol" at me thinking one moment "This can't be a Chris Nolan film, I don't see Michael Caine anywhere" and then he is in the next shot.....

GD 12-19-2019 07:09 PM

The whole movie is in reverse

RP 12-19-2019 07:10 PM

I cant believe i'm saying this, but Robert Pattinson is one of the best actors going right now and one of my favorite.

I wish we could erase Twilight.

If you havent seen Good Time. You need to see Good Time.

GD 12-19-2019 07:18 PM

His performance in "High Life" was commendable as well.

So was half of Memento

GD 12-19-2019 08:41 PM

The actual scenes are in reverse lol

Seanny One Ball 12-19-2019 08:50 PM

The surrounding physics seem to be in reverse but they're speaking normally.

Make some effort Chris.

Frank Drebin 12-19-2019 09:47 PM

I'm down.

Chris Nolan the only person left given free reign to make original IP's with a big budget.

Please never die.

slik 12-19-2019 11:51 PM

Looks great

Love to foolishly speculate before every Nolan flick.

Seanny One Ball 12-20-2019 12:52 PM

It turns out JDW was Sammy Jankis all along

ClockShot 07-20-2020 01:27 PM

Warner Bros. pulled this from their schedule indefinitely.

slik 07-20-2020 02:55 PM

Damn.

I honestly don't see any films being released before (at the earliest) October but most likely not until 2021.

RP 07-20-2020 05:47 PM

It's a good call, but it sucks for us.

Destor 07-20-2020 05:57 PM

Itll be interesting to see the long term effects of distribution. The theater was already shrinking as the home viewing experience matched the quality of the theater. Will this speed up the passing of the torch for streaming?

Seanny One Ball 07-20-2020 06:10 PM

Cinema will always exist in one form or another as a shared social experience as long as we have the ability to make films because people will always like being near other people even if it costs them money.

Destor 07-20-2020 06:24 PM

Strongly disagree in a broad sense. Im sure single screen theaters will exist SOMEWHERE for forever. But tech advancements will kill theaters just like they did the arcades.

Destor 07-20-2020 06:25 PM

There are 50 drive in movie theaters left in the US. These things come and go

Destor 07-20-2020 06:27 PM

And the trend currently is only visual spectacles draw in the theaters any more. Smaller dramas tank hard but still do as well as ever on streaming. 8k is coming. Once audio quality improves at home direct to streaming releases will be the preferred method for film viewing.

100%

Seanny One Ball 07-20-2020 06:56 PM

They have said the same about every advancement of home entertainment over the years.

Cinema won't die, it might take on more of a rarified image like vinyl collecting but it will stay alive in one form or another.

aka dead like the arcades and vinyl

RP 07-20-2020 07:03 PM

So... I'm not sure Chris Nolan has made a bad movie so I cant possibly be angry at this.

Side note : I think Dunkirk is one of the greatest movies ever made and i've watched it twice and plan on watching it again. It's incredible!

Seanny One Ball 07-22-2020 08:43 AM

I really didn't like Dunkirk very much at all.
I can see that it was well made but it didn't thrill me in the slightest.

Lock Jaw 07-22-2020 10:05 AM

Yeah, Dunkirk looked beautiful, but the way the story was presented didn't grip me. Felt like too worried about making it look amazing that the plot suffered.

slik 08-06-2020 02:13 AM

Have been reading people's theories on TENET based on set photos and the trailer and I think people are onto something...possible spoilers/guessing

SPOILER: show

This is not a Time Travel movie as we think it is...

When we think of time travel we always think of going to the distant future and going forward from there...but what if we only skip ahead a little...like minutes at a time...and instead of going forward from there, everything starts reversing back until you reach the same point from which you left...

some people have pointed out in the car crash scene in the trailer it would appear that the main character is in both cars at the same "time", the one that crashes and the one that doesn't...

Not even reading this shit. Nolan movies should not be spoiled.

RP 08-06-2020 03:01 AM

And what does it matter anyways? Gladiator is the best movie of all time!

Not ifvthe government says they can't open

Seanny One Ball 08-06-2020 07:29 AM

Shut it you or I'll kill the little boy that wished you alive and you'll turn back into a snowman

Droford 08-06-2020 08:04 AM

it'll be at least 2022 before it gets released

They have too much money invested to throw it up to rent online for $20, so theyre going to keep pushing it back but as long as theres like only a few theates open out of
40,000 available screens they won't release it.

slik 08-06-2020 11:47 AM

Opening scene of the film, I think this will be amazing

Damian Rey 2.0 08-06-2020 11:19 PM

Wow. That was stellar. I haven't seen Dunkirk but heard great things. No surprise that I love his Batman films. But, I also loved Insomnia and Inception and I'm gladhe's going seemingly back to a crime genre type of movie.

Lock Jaw 08-06-2020 11:53 PM

Will refrain from watching that.... but looking forward (or backwards?!) to whenever the hell this releases.

Anyone see an early screening yet? I’m going Today. Please provide non-spoiler thoughts.

Lock Jaw 09-03-2020 02:44 PM
