WHAT is Going on!

RP 11-29-2016 12:05 AM

I have no clue what happened in this show

Triple A 11-29-2016 02:15 PM

From what I understand (but not 100% confirmed yet):

- The William storyline is happening 30 years "ago" (prob related to them saying the last time they had an "incident" in the park was 30 years ago)

- The Man in Black storyline and Maeve storyline is happening 30 years after that

- A lot of the flashbacks the characters have are to previous "memories" of things that happened to them

I guess I could keep typing stuff but feels like there is a lot to type. Also a lot of stuff is still ambiguous I think. They will prob reveal a lot of "what's going on" in the last episode. Someone on the show mentioned that there won't be a cliffhanger, so seems like they are going to wrap most things up and everything will "come together."

Are there any specific things u r def confused about?

Frank Drebin 11-29-2016 02:26 PM

Where did all the tits go?

Lock Jaw 11-29-2016 03:02 PM

Will bet all of Frank Drebin's street cred that the William story is not taking place 30 years ago.......

Triple A 11-29-2016 03:08 PM

smh

We'll see won't we!!!

That is part of the fun, there is always a lil doubt no matter how many lil hints they give U and how many theories I read... still is "sweet" when it happens and "comes to fruition"

Triple A 11-29-2016 03:18 PM

How come you are so sure it's def not the case though when there is lots of evidence?!

- The old logo being used during the William storyline is a big giveaway imo

- Dolores being very mechanical inside during that is also a giveaway

- There was an "incident 30 years ago"

- Man in Black says he got married 30 years ago. William storyline is talking about how he is about to be married.

- Both William and MIB have pale blue eyes.

- Why would MIB say "I thought they would have retired you by now?" to the host that introduced William? Obv was re-assigned.

Innovator 11-29-2016 03:58 PM

What if Logan is the MiB instead of William? William dies next episode, Logan thinks he's crazy until he kills Maeve and her daughter and sees the emotion out of her and realizes William was right.

Triple A 11-29-2016 04:00 PM

idk, feels like that wouldn't be as good or wouldn't make as much sense. Logan is not really a major character, so feels like having that be a huge reveal wouldn't be as "big." Also Logan has dark brown eyes, while William and MIB both have the same blue eyes.

Lock Jaw 11-29-2016 07:18 PM

Delores was already revealed to be one of the oldest models.... makes sense that she is robotic inside.....

Triple A 11-29-2016 07:37 PM

They said that she has been rebuilt so many times that she is practically brand new. And I think I remember them also saying at some point that there are no more of the old style models anymore in the park.

I thought that too, but for all the reasons Trip said, I don't think so anymore. Too many clues to suggest MIB is William at this point. If it wasn't, lots and lots of red herrings.

Lock Jaw 11-29-2016 09:39 PM

Really rooting for it to not be true...... to me the clues are mostly just "grasping at straws", so I don't think it will come true....

If it does I guess I will "like it less", but still watch......

And the picture of Williams' wife (Logan's sister) is the same picture that Abernathy found in the dirt that made him go all Shakespeare.

RP 11-30-2016 08:39 PM

I watched all the episodes and have no idea whats going on

This is what clinched it for me. That same picture coming up twice makes no sense otherwise.

Lock Jaw 12-01-2016 12:35 AM

Yeah, thought I noticed that picture looking the same, but I wasn't sure.....

Still think a non-linear sequence of events would be "meh" idea......

Fignuts 12-01-2016 12:37 AM

No, shut up. You love it.

Destor 12-01-2016 03:31 AM

I love nonlinear story telling (and I can conceed that this is most likely the case here.) Doloris being Wyatt I would need to be sold on.

This might help

Lock Jaw 12-01-2016 01:08 PM

I guess maybe my problem with the non-linear timelines is maybe "more personal"........

I like "good guys"/"role models"/"white hats"...... I want to root for William..... sure, he snapped and hacked a bunch of bots into pieces, but he can still come back and be the moral center/compass of the show........

Will have no one to root for/get behind if he goes full heel.......

Much more "emotionally invested" in a character who "keeps to his moral principles" in an "indecent world" than in a character who is driven to the dark side by the darkness around him.......

I touched on that issue a few pages ago. William is the only character on the show thats "good" and human. I.E. the only person who's death could have any drama whatsoever.

Also links to another article where someone points out that William and MiB have the same knife (and are wearing the same shirt).

So, really, William and the Man in Black are wearing the same shirt and carry the same knife? One Ford looks at with consideration in Episode 5 like he’s seen it’s dirty work before? And you still don’t think they’re the same person?

What the fuck. Thats Penis.com

RP 12-01-2016 06:42 PM

Why you do that bro?

Fignuts 12-01-2016 09:26 PM

lol

He got you

RP 12-01-2016 09:27 PM

Not cool man. Not even a penis. Just a bunch of words that say penis.

Outsider 12-01-2016 10:05 PM

Actually this multiple timelines idea clears up one of the things which had been bugging me about the show.

For such a theme park to work, the storylines would have to be reset at some point and begin again. This obviously wouldn't be a daily event or guests would live the same day each time. So lets say it is weekly.

Maeve has been through the same story cycle (her brothel being robbed) multiple times, so this would indicate her story takes place over a long time period, a few weeks at least possibly more.

Meanwhile Delores seems to be in one story cycle for most of the show. A shorter time scale.

So either the storylines reset daily, and Maeve has been killed, repaired and put back within 24 hours (which would seem dumb) or one storyline has been going at a much quicker pace relative to the other. Which fits in with the fan theory.

Frank Drebin 12-04-2016 11:47 PM

damn!

Lock Jaw 12-05-2016 12:46 AM

Okie dokey then.

Good episode, but I don't really think I am interested in a second season. Feels like the story is "complete".

Lock Jaw 12-05-2016 12:56 AM

Also

 at superfluous after credits scene of tattoo chick cutting her arm off

Triple A 12-05-2016 01:45 AM

Really great ep.

Entire episode felt really tense, like a bunch of "crazy" stuff was about to happen.

"Samurai World" thing is interesting... Opens possibilities for other genres in later seasons maybe (hopefully not samurais).

Cuzziebro 12-05-2016 07:10 AM

LJ stop being so negative.

Fignuts 12-05-2016 07:28 AM

I fucking love this show.
