AEW Fight Forever
I didn't see a topic on this one, which surprised me. I wasn't really expecting much from this game, but I checked out the newest footage from it and it plays just like No Mercy, which is awesome to me. I'm pretty excited for this to come out now. Would love to have an updated No Mercy play style wrestling game
I forgot how to embed videos on here, so if someone can do it for me lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gyzcfgbO6wU&t=15s |
The game looks great imo. We broached the topic in the AEW thread. I think its going to be a hit with everyone who plays if it feels half as good as it looks. That said i doubt it sells.

Cult hit

It looks pretty close to Day of Reckoning which was the "next gen" no mercy heir. The way the strikes track for instance. Very DoR.
yeah it'll be interesting to see the sales of it. Can't wait to see more gameplay and see what matches/features they announce.
I hope it does well enough for a no.2. Thats usually where fighting games hit their stride mechanically. Get tons a of user feedback/data from 1 and use it to refine the system into exactly what theyll respond to.
Look at how good Revenge was vs World Tour as a great example. Theyre gonna get some stuff wrong. Thats just how it goes. |

Really looking forward to it. Seems to control like the older games, and that's big for me. Keep it simple.
Can't believe I'm saying this but there's some stuff from 2K they should take a look at in regard to simulating the match experience and 'gameifying' it. Without over doing it and having a bunch of canned cutscenes in a match, obviously.
I have zero interest in AEW but this game looks good.
Fight Forever part 3 will be a classic.
FF2 should be free to play with a battle pass.
A live service wrestling game would work.
Is Sting the only wrestler to be in a WCW, WWE, TNA and AEW video game?
He’s have to be, right?
The only other guy that’s been in all 4 companies was Dustin but I don’t think he was in the TNA game, and maybe not any of the WCW ones either.
Yeah, its just Sting but if Jeff Jarrett gets added as a DLC wrestler in the future, he'd join that list.
Booker T, Scott Steiner, and Kevin Nash are the only other ones who could potentially pulled that off if they were to pop up in the future in AEW and get added to Fight Forever. |
Game debuted at no3 in the UK sales charts behind FF16 and Tears of the Kingdom. Impressive, doesnt mean much unless it has legs, but Impressive.
