I like that you can solve some shrines not in the way they were intended to be solved.

Emperor Smeat 03-05-2017 12:54 AM

Been goofing around with the Wii U version for a bit before doing any important stuff and they weren't joking about how easy it is to die in the game early on.

Savio 03-05-2017 01:25 AM

Veryyy easyyy

Remove any metal weapons or shields and it won't hurt you.

Savio 03-05-2017 11:08 AM

I like that you can play with dogs in this <3

Savio 03-05-2017 03:21 PM

Grand Theft Horses: Hyrule Stories

Big Vic 03-06-2017 01:43 PM

Watched a spoiler free review and learned I can store my horse at a stable, cool.

Would it be gay of me if I wanted to trade recipes with you guys? I want to exchange some cool recipes but don't want to be called a "fruitcup" or a "Sissy-bone fat cake".

Poit 03-06-2017 01:56 PM

What's the recipe for a sissy-bone fat cake?

#BROKEN Hasney 03-06-2017 02:36 PM

So I've done all the photos and beasts, there still isn't a quest for the master sword. Characters have been hinting where it is, so I might they and find it myself.

Still not gone up the tower in 3 regions though, so going to unlock those first.

Poit 03-06-2017 03:12 PM

I found the Master Sword, but

SPOILER: show

I'm not yet strong enough to get it.

I hadn't seen any hints about where to find it. I was looking for something else and was surprised to also find the Master Sword there.

#BROKEN Hasney 03-06-2017 03:54 PM

I was thinking of getting the last tower, then the master sword and going for Ganon. Then, up in the snowy mountains, an enemy hit me once and took off 12 3/4 hearts. Think I'm going to have to go find the last fairy first and upgrade my gear to max.

McLegend 03-06-2017 04:25 PM

How is the main story in the game?

Savio 03-06-2017 06:56 PM

Seems decent for not being linear at all.

I made it to the shrine on death mountain with no heat tunic.... cost me 3 hearty meals.... now I just have to find out where I can get this tunic from....

Savio 03-06-2017 11:47 PM

I always get a heart, can never bring myself to get a stamina vessel.

I started recording my recipes tonight: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Rr...mn_34lMBGOdrkM

Obviously there are tons of variations in most (every?) recipe. These are just the ones I either cooked tonight or already had in my inventory.

Anyone else have recipes to share?

#BROKEN Hasney 03-07-2017 07:26 AM

Found the last fairy last night. 10,000 rupees.

Fuck you.

I'll send mine over tonight.

Goron
SPOILER: show
Should have never went to Goron city and talked to Gorons before finding whatever cloak protects me from heat. Now my way-point is stuck at Goron mines and I am not sure where to go. Oh well I will find my way, more adventure.

Poit 03-07-2017 01:25 PM

By waypoint, do you mean quest marker? You can change your active quest to something else.

SPOILER: show
If you're still looking for heat protection,
SPOILER: show
go to the clothing shop in Goron City. There are a couple places to buy elixirs that give a Flame Guard buff, but that's where you get the armor.

#BROKEN Hasney 03-07-2017 02:47 PM

Uhhh, who's been to the island on the far south east of the map?

SPOILER: show
There's a bunch of shrines and it takes all your inventory away and forces you to scavenge on that island only. It's fucking brutal.

#BROKEN Hasney 03-07-2017 03:05 PM

Holy shit, on that island I just cheesed a Hinox with just bombs.

Didn't drop any guts though and I fucking need it to upgrade my gear.

Big Vic 03-07-2017 04:07 PM

I need some damn acient cores. and they NEVERRRR get dropped

I know I kind of want to do that one though. I will show true courage and explore Hyrule for the garb.

#BROKEN Hasney 03-07-2017 05:35 PM

Was going to go for Canon tonight, but got side tracked with the aforementioned island and then other shit. 53 shrines done now.

Feel like I want to upgrade my main gear at least once more, but that involves farming cyclopses and lizardmen. Doubt I'll get close to 10,000 rupees to get the 4th upgrade.

Savio 03-07-2017 05:46 PM

I guess that's what all the amber/other stones is for, just to sell (and in some instances make clothes)

Emperor Smeat 03-07-2017 06:01 PM

According to Nintendo, Breath of the Wild broke the record for highest selling launch game in company history. Previous record was Super Mario 64 for non-bundle console launch games.

The unique meals I have are:

Energizing Glazed Mushrooms (Apple, Hylian Shroom, Honey)
6 hearts and fills nearly half of your stamina

Tough Steamed Fruit (Apple, Acorn, Pumpkin)
3 Hearts Defense up for 2 minutes

Hearty Meat Rice Balls (Rice, Truffle, Raw Meat)
Full Recovery Plus 1 heart (Had a better version of this which had +5 extra hearts but ate it before getting the recipe :( )

Tough Meat Stuffed Pumpkin (Pumpkin, Meat)
3 Hearts Defense up 1:20

Hasty Meat and Mushroom Skewer (Rushroom, Apple, Bird-drumstick)
4 Hearts, speed up for 2 mins

Savio 03-07-2017 07:06 PM

One of those assassins tried to fight me in a lightening storm just now and got himself electrocuted. Didn't even have to hit him.

#BROKEN Hasney 03-08-2017 10:02 AM

If you throw a rusty sword at an Oktorok while they're sucking in, they'll spit out a sword with the rust gone. how the fuck did they think of all this shit?

Big Vic 03-09-2017 12:58 PM

Went through 2 sagas so far, the Goron one was definitely the easier one of the 2.

Big Vic 03-09-2017 01:00 PM

I have mixed feeling about the "Flurry Rush" or whatever it is called when you get a perfect dodge.

Also I wish enemies followed you further off of their camp. After you get to a certain point they just turn around leading to an easy kill for you. At least stand guard at the line or something.

Droford 03-11-2017 01:59 PM

I saw a video where you throw a chicken at the enemy and when it attacks the chicken the flock starts attacking the enemy which I found hilarious

Emperor Smeat 03-12-2017 01:33 PM

According to players, its possible for blood moons to occur during the final boss fight and during cutscenes. Already discovered if it happens during a very specific cutscene, you won't get the item given and your save file gets messed up a bit.

I've been playing the shit out of this all week and I've only now just done the first dungeon.

I love this game.

SPOILER: show
Ganon's castle seemed cool but I didn't like how you could skip more than half of it and go nearly striaght to Ganon

Its designed that way so it will be interesting to do again with a different path. There's a few side quests and legendary loot in there.

Big Vic 03-13-2017 08:06 AM

SPOILER: show
Yeah I got some of the loot there. The one mini-boss I raninto there was that snow Minotaur looking thing. died twice on it and just left to go face Ganon.

Savio 03-13-2017 05:20 PM

You don't need to control the winged beast at all to beat that dungeon.
