I think Cody needs to get his win against MJF before MJF goes for world title.
Just my opinion. |
MJF vs MOX is a match I've been hoping would happen at ALL OUT
Sort of hope AEW keeps upping the scale with weekly multi-man tag matches since this week had a 10-man tag and next week is topping that with a 12-man tag.
MJF rules ass
Guess Excalibur really did get punished for his past comments poping up since he didn't show up after Taz left the booth.
Also Chuckie T's streak of not saying a swear word on tv continues since Taz just used it up. Edit: Nevermind, Taz quickly went back to the booth. |
Looks like Darby really got concussed last week
Like Starks mentioning Tazz choking out Angle to give him his first loss.
 Darby with a Coffin Drop OUTTA NOWHERE.
Damn. Didn't see Darby up there.
Starks busts out some pretty cool looking spears, especially for someone of his leaner size.
Ouch at that Alabama Slam onto the crash can.
So far this has been a better hardcore match than the Unsanctioned match was last week between Orton and Big Show on RAW. |
Tacks again.
lol damn
Yikes at Starks back after that skateboard thumbtacks spot.
Tornado Tag match was very good. Best match from tonight's show. This week's episode was enjoyable overall but felt a lot weaker than last week's mostly amazing show. Darby vs. Moxley for the AEW World title should be great next week. |
Poor Starks, I need Starkman Jones to heal his back
Nah, probably Trip's neighbors crashed it just to cause him more anxiety.
fucking bastardos

I haven't had a wrestling shirt since like Wolfpac. The mask, hat, and OC shirts are so tempting.. |
I think I'd prefer if the AEW video game was like Street Fighter over trying to be an actual wrestling game..dunno. WWE struggles with something that used to be flawless back in the day with WWF and WCW games.
Darby is a fucking madman and I love it
Zack Ryder and Cameron are in AEW?!?!?! SUCH GOOD SHIT!
Aew was solid but cage and mox still leave me scratching my head. Their chemistry is soo meh
Weird show this week in that I enjoyed pretty much everything happening in ring but compared to last week the energy levels seemed a lot lower.
Sorta like in EWR there’s a 1 in 25 chance that you’ll book a good show but the scores you get for each segment will be lower because the show for whatever reason just “doesn’t click”. This Dynamite felt like a real world iteration of that. |
Still far better than anything WWE’s done of late.

WILL SIGN ANY FORMER WWE WRESTLER Total Nonstop All Elite Wrestling |
WOO WOO WOO!
“I don’t want this to turn into All Friends Wrestling.” |
To be fair to AEW, Ryder has a history of creating his own hype and getting himself over in spite of a complete lack of any push or competent momentum behind him by his employers.
He is still at a good age and if he can get on YouTube again and garner anywhere near the interest he used to, that is a win for AEW. He is the one that anybody in their position would have signed. An absolute no brainer. |
IDK if he will be able to rekindle that flame again but I hope he can.
Ryder will have a similar run as Shawn Spears is my guess.
Dillinger was never as over as Ryder, but the height of his popularity was only 3 years ago, not 8 years ago like Ryder.
Ryder also had zero buildup, just showed up with the generic "here is this guy you should know and care about, oh and he is Cody's friend." Wait til he turns on Cody by hitting him with a kendostick, then he will be "AEW'S resident Kendostickman", and they will get another old guy from the 80's to be his manager. Barry Windham should be available. |
Ryder is also the drizzling shits. He had one good match with Christian because Christian is awesome. The guy is fucking clunky in the ring and when he's given a mic, completely shits the bed. The guy looks good because he has plenty of time to spend in the gym, but that's all he brings.
For all the talk of him being able to get himself "over," he's never been able to connect with crowds through the actual important shit in wrestling. He did a silly YouTube video series before everyone did one, and he showed something resembling a personality outside the WWE confines when that was actually novel. Matt Hardy did a similar thing, and how valuable has he ever been when he's not Jeff's brother? But Cody will give him a job because they're buds and there's absolutely zero chance of Cody being upstaged by a guy who has been in the business for 16 years and never shown any sign of improvement or to be anywhere close to "getting it." Gotta protect your spot. |
Zack Ryder is the Brutus Beefcake of AEW.
Jesus. Chill out you weird little fucker.
I don't think Ryder is as bad as Noid suggests, but I've never been interested in him.
I'll give him a chance and see what he can do outside of WWE's creatively restricting enviornment, but I'm not expecting much. |
He's not a 0/10 or anything. He's just pretty fucking bad and definitely unremarkable at best. I remember I saw him go for a Flying Elbow once, he landed on his feet and then delivered the elbow. It wasn't a comedy spot -- he just fucked up a Flying Elbow. Which can happen, I guess, but the guy is pretty fucking terrible, haha.
People hear his obvious passion for what he does, notice he's a smaller guy, will see him do an overshot tope con hilo in a gif and assume he's got the workrate. If we went through a list of great Zack Ryder matches, I bet you we get to four maybe half-way decent ones that most people don't remember and aren't as good as people think. I'll start: Zack Ryder vs. Christian from ECW |
I think he's average from what I've seen. Capable, but doesn't do anything remarkable.
Now Cameron on the other hand, is someone who "the drizzling shits" absolutely applies to.
Not a very great get by AEW there. |
