Owen Hart's ribs had all of the impact of a turnbuckle from 100 feet.

Factual metaphor.

Respect the effort.

Conrad brought up a great topic for season 3 on Grilling Jr this week

Muhammad Hassan

Savio 05-29-2020 02:21 PM

The heat he got was awesome, wish UPN didn't fuck him over.

Evil Vito 05-29-2020 02:54 PM

The fact that they chose to just kill Hassan off after that instead of give him another run on Raw where Spike would've let them get away with more was a tragedy.

Probably can blame WWE more for that since they really pissed off UPN by refusing their request to edit out his segment from that week's show because they felt it was in very poor taste considering what had happened in London earlier.

WWE gave some excuses for why they didn't but all that ended up doing was pissing off UPN even more when it actually aired on tv. Think either UPN threatened to pull their tv contract or some other serious punishment if WWE continued with the Hassan storyline for Smackdown.

Now that guy could really work the mic, used to love Daviari shouting in Farsi too.

Anyone watch Darkside of the Ring: Confidential? The first episode revisited and got deeper into the Gino Hernandez story. I enjoyed it even more than the original airing. They dropped that Gino's Grandfather married Jimmy Snuka's Mom in a kind of wild story. Also we learned that Gino was indeed not the son of Paul Bosch. Looking forward to the next one.

I thought that as well. I think it was a good topic to start with as the Gino episode was my least favorite in season 1.

I was on the fence about this show because the DSOTR after shows ere so bad. Gonna give it a watch.

Lol I love that they settled the Paul Boesch/Gino's Hernandez thing

Now someone just needs to settle Gorilla Monsoon/Victor Quinones

Gorilla/Victor just makes too much sense not to be true. I can't imagine there is anyone alive who could justify the truth other than maybe Vince.

I'm not even sure they even acknowledged that Joey Marella was his son, at least not back in the pre internet days.

Ventura always ripped on him and what a bad job he was doing while on Commentary with Gorilla, but back then as a kid I had no idea.

Bad News Gertner 03-14-2021 09:00 PM

The did in a couple House Shows but never on weekly t.v

Bad News Gertner 03-16-2021 03:52 PM

Wow, so Jimmy Snuka was married Gino Hernandez's mother lol

lol "happy side of the ring"

Bad News Gertner 04-09-2021 11:49 AM

The one show I make a point to watch.

I can't wait to hear some Johnny K-9 stories. He's a legend amongst the indie guys in my city.

Jordan 04-09-2021 11:51 AM

I'm most excited for FMW, Collision in Korea, Nick Gage and XPW (if that is covered, I think I read that it is).

Bad News Gertner 04-09-2021 12:13 PM

I just wish the episodes were at least an hour and a half long. An short feels too short for some of these stories.

Emperor Smeat 04-09-2021 03:56 PM

According to the Observer Newsletter, Season 3 is going to be split up into two halves with the first half airing starting in May and the second half latter in the year.

After that will be Nick Gage, Collision in Korea, Ultimate Warrior (notable because A&E is doing Ultimate Warrior as well), Grizzly Smith and the Smith family (Jake Roberts, Rockin Robin Smith and Sam Houston) and Dynamite Kid. Of these episodes, I was interviewed for Pillman and Dynamite. It’s been confirmed to us that the second half of season three would then take place later in the year for six or seven weeks

Yeah I think Bruiser Bedlam is going to be the show of the season.
It blows my mind that he is so unknown given the crazy gangster shit he was getting up to.

John Nord would make a good subject for this too.
Quite the character!

Seanny One Ball 04-12-2021 07:21 PM

Brian Pillman getting a whole episode seems silly... The guy doesn't provide much in the way of interest.

Dynamite Kid will be a rehash of everything we already know, probably worth watching for anyone who hasn't read about him.
I mean his own book paints him as a massive cunt so just read that really.

Seanny One Ball 04-12-2021 07:22 PM

Bet they show the Foley clothesline before the five minute mark.

Goddamn I'd beat the fuck out of someone pizza cutting my mouth. There would be some heavy receipts.

Nick fucking Gage baby

Volare 04-19-2021 06:44 PM

The way Mox can detail emotion and excitement, he must be a riot at Vegas Knights' games.

Bad News Gertner 04-27-2021 04:37 PM

Luna Vachon announced as a topic. That should be excellent. Also announced were the Plane Ride From Hell and the Steroid Trial. If they are able to get Dr. George Zahorian that would be my favourite "get" so far.

Seanny One Ball 04-30-2021 12:05 PM

Give us ring boys give us plane crashes give us Zomhofe, Sweetan and Hardbody Harrison.
Give us Chris Colt and Lars Sullivan and ask who spread more hepatitis? Those two or Abdullah the Butcher.

Seanny One Ball 04-30-2021 12:09 PM

Kurt Angle could get his own episode to be honest.
He's a fucked up guy.

ozzman6669 05-01-2021 08:22 PM

First hour of Pillman's episode is available !

Fignuts 05-02-2021 10:53 AM

Really good so far. Didn't know about the fucked up family stuff, or how he got his signature rasp.

Fucking love this Tim Woods guy.

Bad News Gertner 05-02-2021 01:26 PM

Watching it tonight. Can't wait.

ozzman6669 05-02-2021 08:29 PM

To be honest it made me hate the guy, a lot ! He was really a piece of shit in his personnal life !

fundiddle 05-02-2021 11:05 PM

certainly dark stuff, doesn't make me hate pillman just understand him better. looking forward to part deuce

Bad News Gertner 05-02-2021 11:06 PM

Decided to wait for it to come on Vice. Watching the Randy Savage A&E instead.

Bad News Gertner 05-03-2021 12:25 AM

Nick Fucking Gage next week

#1-norm-fan 05-03-2021 12:41 AM

The producers were on Cornette’s podcast and mentioned that Chris Colt is an episode they’ve discussed but the lack of footage is a problem.
