WWE: Survivor Series 2021
 

Haven't watched quite some time, it's pretty bad that I only recognize 6 wrestlers in a flagship ppv (Randy Orton, Bobby Lashley, Jeff Hardy, Charlotte Flair, Shaemus and Nakamura) considering how much I used to love this.

Hope the people who still watch are enjoying it. I miss the 2000s.

Hope Big E wins… beyond that there’s nothing on that card for me.

Ignoring that this PPV is meaningless with no stakes, this looks like a really fun card. Not a bad match to be found. Might have to check it out.

This looks like an average weekly show to me, with the exception of Big E v Roman. Happy to have mobile games as this will put me to sleep.

Seems like a great card to me, that would be tons of fun. Not gonna watch or anything, but yeah, seems fun.

Best survivor series match ever was team Cena vs the authority. Stakes were so high, and it was booked to perfection.

Why do they always do "brand supremacy" PPV's so soon after drafts? I still don't even know who's on which brand. Back in '02/'03/'04 etc. you always knew because everything seemed so much more stable.

It might be a sad state of affairs as to how wrestling’s changed, but there not being any sort of forced stakes makes this show more “fun” to me. I think it was Rebellion 2001 — but I was reading this thing about underrated PPVs, and they were talking about how at the time no one really cared about the UK PPVs, but because they didn’t really “matter,” they come off like house shows and are actually a lot of fun in retrospect.

Survivor Series isn’t about what modern fans want it to be about anymore. From
2016-2018 it had this string of really memorable Brock Lesnar work. And as much as I don’t care about brand supremacy, those matches are always rated highly and considered a fun 40 minutes or whatever they are.

Becky vs. Charlotte has an intrigue factor right now. RKBro vs. Usos should be a lot of fun. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Damian Priest is actually one of the more curious things to me, because they’re both babyfaces.

And I think the reason they do this so soon after the draft is partially so the layperson can see which wrestlers are on each show now. Like it really matters. But I think that’s the psychology there.

Becky vs Charlotte should main-event since it's the only match on the show with any build, even if unintentional build.

I also wondered this.

Charlotte is a bigger name than Becky.

The battle royal which was only announced two days ago got moved to the main card and is now being promoted as “The Rock’s 25th Anniversary Battle Royal”

So yeah, I’d guess he decided he can make an appearance

pretty lame but it's literally only because of her last name that she is memorable to me in any way.

the only other recent female wrestlers I remember off the top of my head are Ronda Rousey (due to previous fame), Asuka (won the first rumble) and Paige (for the reasons you're thinking)

but like I said, I don't know many of the recent male wrestlers either

having the SS matches be for rumble spots would a terrible idea. the losers wouldnt be in the rumble...so what? you book 5 guys you want to use or you take 5 guys youd like to use but now cant? its never good to book restrictions.
