Former WWE star Gene Snitsky has been cast in episode one of the upcoming Mighty Morphing Power Rangers web series. Snitsky's role is not revealed, but the announcement says whatever happens to the Blue Ranger is "not his fault."

There's a MMPR web series?

The fourth instalment of the Jurassic Park franchise will be released in July 2015. It will be named "Jurassic World". Speculation?

Lock Jaw 09-11-2013 02:38 AM

An astronaut crash lands on a planet ruled by intelligent dinosaurs, where humans are hunted, killed, or kept as slaves. In the end it turns out to have been Earth all along.

Kalyx triaD 09-11-2013 03:15 AM

Speculation is the dinosaurs are ferried to the main land from some overconfident CEO. Either through sabotage or bad planning the creatures break free. Hilarity ensues.

AMC canceled The Killing..............again.

If anyone is interested, Sonic is getting a new animated tv show arriving next year currently titled as Sonic Boom and would be available on Cartoon Network.

So far Cartoon Network has ordered about a year's worth of episodes (52 total).

Quote:

The working title for the show is Sonic Boom, and it’s described as “a character-driven comedy” about Sonic and Tails, as well as Knuckles, and Amy Rose, and their ongoing opposition to Dr. Eggman. (When did we stop calling him Robotnik? Young people…).

“Sonic is the star of the Sega universe and the stage is now set for him to shine like never before,” Sega’s chief content officer for Sonic Hiroyuki Miyazaki said in a post on the Sega Blog. “By teaming up with world-class partners in television animation like Cartoon Network, Genao Productions, and GULLI, we’re ensuring that the Sonic legacy will be introduced to a new generation of children across the globe.

ReBoot currently in the process of being brought back although it might return as a web series if no tv deal can be found.

Quote:

As of recently, Netflix has put ReBoot in its entirety on its instant-streaming and if that is not enough to make your inner geek squeal, Rainmaker Entertainment (the company who was responsible for ReBoot as well as the Beast Wars series) has just announced the renaming of their TV development series as "MainFrame Entertainment" with the even bigger announcement that they will be bringing a sequel series of ReBoot back online!

Unfortunately at this moment, they do not have any network backing to air the new series upon but I am sure that will be negotiated in the near future.

Lock Jaw 10-05-2013 01:01 AM

Not gonna be the same without the voice of Megabyte

Kalyx triaD 10-05-2013 01:14 AM

It wouldn't be the same regardless, it's a remake.

Lock Jaw 10-05-2013 01:24 AM

News says a "sequel series", not "remake". Does say "Reboot", though, so I dunno. :shifty:

Now comes word from The Phantom that there is some movement (finally). Said movement has to do with TWO ACTORS that have been offered deals for the Bill Murray-less sequel.

We have it on good authority that none other than Jonah Hill and Emma Stone have been offered the parts of Jeremy and Anna respectively.

No word on who the hell Jeremy and Anna are in the overall story of GHOSTBUSTERS 3. My guess, they are the son and/or daughter of one or two of the original members of the team and will be picking up where their fathers left off.

Actress Emilia Clarke will play Sarah Connor in the Terminator movie reboot, according to Deadline.

The casting reteams Clarke with her Game of Thrones director Alan Taylor, where she plays Daenerys Targaryen. Jason Clarke (no relation) will play her son John Connor (see "Geek Movie News Round-up"). Schwarzenegger will also be back in the role he originated (see "Arnold Confirms Involvement in new 'Terminator' Film").

He told us he'd be back.

Kalyx triaD 12-17-2013 11:31 AM

The Terminator mythology makes reboots murky in the grand scheme of things, and then they have Arny back to confuse things somemore.

This should be interesting seeing how it fits in the overall timeline.

parkmania 12-17-2013 06:26 PM

SO MUCH HATE!!!!!! Check this shit out:

STOP RUINING MY CHILDHOOD!

Kalyx triaD 12-18-2013 01:40 AM

What's the problem? Why is your childhood so weak as to be ruined? Chillax.

If its a reboot then he's probably in it because they designed the robots with the same model in both universes.

Arnie in it doesn't mean he's the same robot from first movies.

Kalyx triaD 12-20-2013 01:20 AM

He's never the same robot anyway, I was thinking more in line in how the franchise's premise allows for any version to be official cannon. T1, T2, and T3 exists along with Salvation and SCC. It seems T2 is the major break, though. I'll have to see the new movie and (supposed) TV show to be sure.

Lock Jaw 12-21-2013 10:22 PM

Just caught up in the show "Once Upon a Time". Had a few eps to catch up on, including the mid-season finale.

Damn. Have to wait until March for new episodes. Seems like an unusually long mid-season break.

ClockShot 12-26-2013 09:37 AM

Pulled up the Netflix and started watching Sherlock yesterday.

Ashamed I missed out on this.

screech 12-28-2013 12:16 PM

Been re-watching 24 on Netflix. Jack can rarely say the word "nuclear" correctly. I blame Audrey.

Corporate CockSnogger 12-28-2013 12:19 PM

I've been contemplating re-watching 24 again but kept putting off for other shows because it was quite a long commitment. Although I've just begun Doctor Who from the very beginning, which will probably keep me going for the better part of a year at the very least. Onnly got about 750 episodes to go.

screech 12-28-2013 12:23 PM

I'm on Day 6 now. When I get through, I'm finally going to watch Breaking Bad.

Immortal Moose 01-02-2014 01:39 AM

Just started reading A Dance with Dragons.

SlickyTrickyDamon 01-02-2014 02:39 AM

listening to the dance with dragons audiobook again thanks for the in-direct suggestion.

Lock Jaw 01-02-2014 05:30 PM

I am reading it as well. Page 393.

What's a good site to watch series / seasons of shows?

I've found www.cokeandpopcorn.ch but it's a bit meh.

ClockShot 01-07-2014 02:18 PM

I've got nothing to watch during the 9 o'clock hour tonight. I think I'll give Intelligence a shot. Josh Holloway makes for good television.

Corporate CockSnogger 01-07-2014 02:45 PM

Oh sweet does that start tonight? I remember wanting to check that out a while back. Not a fan of police dramas really as they're all a bit the same, but I'm willing to give it a go for Sawyer.

Corporate CockSnogger 01-08-2014 09:13 AM

Intelligence was pretty sweet. Was pretty sure I wouldn't like it but Josh Holloway roped me right in. Also Meghan Ory's slammin'. Thought it had better dialogue than your usual busy cop drama, so I'm hoping it keeps me hooked. Really dislike case of the week style shows though so I dunno how long I'll be sticking with it really if that's all it ends up being.

ClockShot 01-08-2014 11:23 AM

I watched. Thought it was exactly like The Blacklist. With it's own little changes. Which is probably why CBS is throwing it Monday night 10 o'clock time slot to try to get some ratings back since Hostages didn't pan out for them.

Spader vs. Holloway. Should be interesting.

screech 01-08-2014 11:49 AM

The Goldbergs is one of the funniest shows on right now.
