Honestly doesn't look as unwatchable as non-Netflix Adam Sandler movies.... I mean, I probably still won't watch it.... but it looks like it could be better than a lot of his recent stuff...

Wait... Is it a remake?

Sixx 11-06-2015 05:33 AM

It is.

Kalyx triaD 11-06-2015 06:49 AM

I guess a sequel was too much to hope for.

Film based on The Witcher series is currently in development by the same company responsible for The Mummy series.

The movie's being headed up by The Sean Daniel Company, who produced The Mummy films. It's said to star Geralt of Rivia, but it won't tell any tale we're familiar with. Rather than being an adaption of any game or book, it'll draw on themes from the series to form its own narrative. This is said to be the first in a series of movies about The Witcher.

Tomasz Baginski has been tabbed as the director for the project. No actors have been announced yet. Right now, they're shooting for a 2017 release.

Sixx 11-06-2015 07:48 PM

There already was a film based on The Witcher, even before the games. And it was hilarious.

And Tomasz Baginski is no director, fuck that guy.

Alexandra Daddario rejoins her San Andreas costar The Rock in the Baywatch reboot film. She is a mighty fine pick up for what this movie is based on.

Read yesterday that a "Hey Arnold" TV movie is in the works over at Nickelodeon. Supposed to tie up some loose ends. Mainly the mystery about Arnold's parents.

This makes me happy, if it's old school and stays true to form.

First in Baywatch with natural huge titties.

Thinking a lot of things will be lampshaded in the movie.

Gotta have the slo-mo run.

Former world record holder of Donkey Kong ended up losing a lawsuit against the makers of cartoon show Regular Show. Tried to claim the show was slandering his reputation while the judge sided with parody claims and how the real Billy Mitchell isn't a giant head that explodes.

As a Regular Show fan, I couldn't forget their depiction of Billy Mitchell in the form of Garrett Bobby Ferguson -- a floating head that cheats at video games and holds the universe record for many titles. Apparently the actual Billy Mitchell sued the show despite the fact that it would clearly be protected under parody laws -- as of this week, the case was tossed.

According to the judge, the depiction is a "non-human creature, a giant floating head from outer space," while the real Mitchell is "a human being." Also, the judge noted that the Regular Show character "explodes," while the plaintiff "does not."

Sixx 11-24-2015 07:52 PM

No, not that Jack

Good to hear Cartoon Network is reviving one of the oldie but goody shows they had. And getting the Adult Swim and Toonami treatment to boot.

So happy.

New film studio formed by Activision recently hired Stacey Sher as its co-president to go along with the recent hire of a former Disney executive as the other co-president.

Activision Blizzard announced a new co-president for the studio today, film producer Stacey Sher, who has credits on The Hateful Eight, Django Unchained, Pulp Fiction, and World Trade Center starring Nicolas Cage. I saw that damn movie in theatres.

Sher joins other co-president, former Disney executive Nick van Dyk, in a bid to make all kinds of tangled universes. It's starting with a Skylanders animated TV show and plans for a Call of Duty "cinematic universe," with the "possibility of television adaptations" as well. Pulling a Marvel, basically, and trying to make the most money on its assets. This way Blizzard won't have to, say, partner with Legendary to make a Warcraft movie. And will ensure that nothing hits the cinemas besides loud, CGI-filled sequels priming you for the next entry.

Fox has ordered a pilot for a new 24 series. Titled 24: Legacy, this will not focus on Jack Bauer and will have a new character as the lead.

Also, Prison Break got the green light to get revived. It'll be an "event series" and Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell will be back to reprise their roles.

Next Star Wars film got delayed till late 2017. Original plans was for a May release since that would be the 40th anniversary of the series but would have also put it in direct competition with the next Guardians of the Galaxy film.

Today, Disney and Lucasfilm announced that Star Wars: Episode VIII, originally scheduled for release in summer 2017, will now debut on December 15, 2017.

The move follows the extraordinary success of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which was the first Star Wars movie to premiere outside the traditional summer blockbuster window and smashed numerous records, including biggest domestic and global debuts of all time as well as the biggest domestic second and third weekends, en route to becoming the highest grossing domestic release of all time with over $861.3 million and the third biggest global release ever with $1,886.7 billion.

Written and directed by Rian Johnson, Star Wars: Episode VIII is currently in preproduction and will begin principal photography in London next month. Kathleen Kennedy and Ram Bergman will produce and J.J. Abrams, Jason McGatlin, and Tom Karnowski will executive produce. Stay tuned for exciting updates in the coming weeks.
