Found this interesting since it usually doesn't work this way for trademarks involving real names.
WWE got their trademark for "Dean Ambrose" initially rejected due to them not getting consent from Jon Moxley despite that not being his real name nor a ring name he used in the indies and the character being owned by WWE. Its all due to a snafu WWE made when they filed the trademark that ended up giving Moxley legal priority over the name and WWE being very lazy when it came to correcting the mistake. The way the USPTO responded, seems even if WWE fixed it, Moxley might still end up with some ownership of the name. Quote:

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn.
|
Just watched the Christian Cage segment from this week....
Is that Eddie Kingston guy supposed to be "good"/"a big name"? He literally looked like one of those dudes from one of those backyard rassling videos. Anyways... Christian should definitely win the world title off of Omega. |
Guess he is more of an "Enzo" in that he can talk shit. I dunno, I'm not impressed.
Christian still needs to get the hell off my TV. I'd rather watch Baron Corbin |

I'd rather you just leave TPWW again and this time not return
|
Sorry, that was harsh..... but you don't besmirch Christian :foc:
|
Kingston definitely has a look that WWE would've never gone for but in every way he has the type of talent they or anyone could use. I'd recommend you give him a chance or watch more of his AEW work. They've pushed him appropriately and he's been awesome. Absolutely one of the best characters in AEW.
|
One but picky critisim I have for Christian is that I don't like the "stoic" angle he's played in his AEW appearances this far. Let's be honest he is not intimidating at all from head to toe, so we have him walk out all Eastwood like and not talk? His money is on the mic and in the ring. The angle was good on Dynamite but still I'd preferred to actually hear from him afterwards.
|
Also "lol" at Omega making fun of him being all "Don, quick 69 me" but then they actually 69ed.
It's like "bro, you are so gay!!" Then proceeding to suck a dick and just laughing "haha look! This is how gay you are!! Mmmfmfmfmfm" |
"69 me Don" was the funniest thing AEW ever produced
|
I think Kenny Omega is bi so he's kind of half-gay
|
Quote:
Kingston's great on the mic, the guy can sell pretty much anything and get it over |
I didn't think of that as a "gay moment" just reminded me of something immature like DX in '97 or me and my friends around the same time.
|
would be funny if Paul Wight was dressed as one of Kenny's cleaners for his entrance

Just want to say I can't remember when I've been this pumped for the next episode of Dynamite. The St. Patricks Day SLAM is gonna be awesome I just know it. But it's not even just the card they have lined up. It's the shake up they've so clearly done after Revolution. Sure some stories are going to continue but they will obviously evolve and bring in different characters (Mox/Kingston/Kenny/Good Bro's/Christian). It already feels so fresh compared to the rut I felt AEW was in for the past two months.
I have a feeling that Sting/Archer/Darby will end up being allies against Team Taz who I could see scooping up Scorpio. Penta/Cody is going to be sick and I can't wait to see where Penta goes after. Also, the Inner Circle vs MJF Alliance is a great evolution and I'm hoping it ends up in Stadium Stampede. I think one thing that is feeling dry to me though is the Young Bucks. I feel that as fun as their matches can be that "I've seen it all". When they are on, they are awesome but ultimately right now I think they are just hitting their spots and I don't feel a very strong connection to their characters. They come off pretty fake to me. But still yeah they do cool spots. I think I'll be more interested when something fresh happens, a break up or a heel run. Just something different. |
Isn't that what the Bucks always have been though? I think the "advantage" they had in years past was less eyeballs familiar with the same shit on a different night.
Never understood their appeal, really. |

Yeah that would be good. Santana/Ortiz are over due for a solid title run.

Oh no apparently AEW taped ST PATRICKS DAY SLAM already and there are spoilers available. MUST...NOT...READ!

Apparently Paul Wight strips Jim Ross nude in a BBQ Death Match
|
I should have put that in a spoiler tag...

Easy not to, I don't follow a bunch of sites that post them now.

Given the times I prefer they make the talent do that then have to go to back and forth between home and Jacksonville every week. That said, it's surprising that Dynamite spoilers aren't readily available most of the time. |

So they did the most PPV buys for a wrestling show not produced by WWE since 1999. So basically they beat 2 companies that were within 2 years of being bankrupt and Impact...WHAT AN ACCOMPLISHMENT!!!!!! |
An impressive feat, none the less, for such a young company.

Only other company besides Impact who could have produced that type of PPV number pre-AEW is Ring of Honor and they've never gotten close to doing so. WarnerMedia is probably very happy since the biggest goal they had for AEW was for them to help grow their B/R Live subs and they've been doing that right from the start. |

Plus who cares what they grossed, that means literally nothing. What did they net? If they have the best deal with PPV ever, maybe the PPV provider only got 50% of that. $3.5 Million minus all expenses and they probably took a net loss, although that is not much of a brag on Twitter thing, is it? |
