So apparently The Bellas are on both shows. Is there an explanation for that?
|
The only explanation is that they like to piss me off.

At least when Cena did it, WWE gave an excuse for why he could swap brands even though it didn't make sense once you actually thought about it. |

To be fair a bit, Bryan also mentioned a few times that Brie was the reason why he fought as long as he did to get medically cleared in the WWE. Without her, he probably ends up in Neville or Rey Mysterio situation for the long run. |
I feel like most of my posts here lately are "I just realized something happened in WWE that makes zero fucking sense. It could just be because I don't watch. Has it actually been explained?"
The answer is always "No." |

Also sort of a sad state of affairs on WWE's end that they couldn't even get to 2 years with the current Brand Split era before needing stars to appear on both brands. If they want to float the idea of stars being free agents, it needs to be done for the next Superstar Shakeup. Have a few stars test free agency while others get a bidding war storyline done. Would generate a few weeks worth of really interesting tv. |

Marriage number 5, wonder how long this one will last. |

Somebody talk to me about how awesome Shane O' Mac was as a wrestler during the Attitude era. I cannot get enough of Shane from back then. I am rapidly coming to the conclusion that nepotism aside, he was possibly the most entertaining wrestler to watch for a brief period as a special attraction.
|
I am trying to figure out who my favourites were and if they still are.
The Rock Mankind Stevie Richards Crash Holly Bob Holly Test Billy Gunn Farooq Jerry Lynn Lance Storm D-Lo Brown There are too many. I need to find a way to see the Attitude Era all over again so I can re-evaluate it 15 years on. |
I also enjoyed Edge & Christian, The Hardy Boyz and the Acolytes in tag team action but the best will always be Test and Albert. I did love the big boot and the choke-powerbomb thang.
|
I went back to the hokey era of occupational gimmicks but I just felt bad about it. Hacksaw Jim Duggan was my hero back then and I was convinced The Mountie was actually hard.
|
The Mountie was kinda scary when I was younger. Not as scary as Bam Bam, Yoko, or Taker though.

Good list though.

Two fat bastards and Taker. I have never been afraid of anyone fat. |
Guys when we watch Hell in a Cell this Sunday we have to do better than just ordering pizza.... let's get a sub or Chinese takeout

How old are you?

That's not me being cheeky I just mean I don't remember Yoko that early on.

31

I really started watching in late 92 when I was 5 going on 6 (though I watched before that, just too young to take it all in)
|
Huh, I dunno why Yoko had no impact on me then. Papa Shango was the scariest man alive when I was a kid.

They presented Yoko as a motherfucker in 1992/93. I freaked out every time he did his "HASS! HASS! BONZAIII!" catchphrase in interviews. Also couldn't watch when he jumped Bret during the WM9 contract signing. Literally ran upstairs :'(
|
Contrast that with how I felt about Bret when he jobbed to Backlund and you have real emotional turmoil at a critical stage of youth.
This explains my psycho-sexual issues with older pale fishwives. |

Yep, me too. I came back for the duration of the Attitude era really. I had watched WCW a bit but Attitude and The Rock/Mankind got me back into wrestling I think. It may have been 97 rather than 98 but I missed at least three years. It's hard to remember when I saw everything, YouTube makes it seem like you were there.
|
It was the black blood he made Warrior bleed from his head that ruined it for me.
Around this time my father bought me a Judge Dredd comic which he then confiscated when he saw the content. Forever yearning... |
I got back into it when I saw Mankind and Undertaker fight in a Boiler Room Brawl and Paul Bearer turned on Taker.
Then I saw Bret/Austin at WM13 and was really hooked |

It may have been posted before, but fuck it. It is too amazing to not post again. Lanny Poffo would be WWE Champion if he was coming into his prime now. |
