There is nothing over about Baron Corbin

6 months ago it was Ciampa. Now it's Nia Jax.

Elias is probably a babyface. His Royal Rumble spot may have changed that, but I don't think so.

Elias is back to heel based on his Raw promo. It's dumb. He was hot shit as a face.

I think Rusev is a heel now too, so weird

Anyway, Bryan is always going to get smark pops so that prevents him from winning this poll. Ciampa and Baszler are in NXT so I can't really count them.

So Nia and Baron.....both get genuine heat from the audience. They're the only two choices here. But it's gotta be Nia. People actually want to see Nia get beaten up vs. Corbin who people would rather just not see at all.

They didn't even show it on Hulu.

All of the arbitrary alignment swapping really is quite frustrating to follow. Especially when my version of Raw doesn't even show everything. How do they expect anyone to invest in a character when they don't even get to be the same character? Charlotte, Becky, Braun, Elias, Nia, Bliss (maybe?)... I'm sure I'm leaving people out. Fucking sucks.

He even did the whole 'shit on the local city' routine and said he would no longer sing for the people, that they should shut up and he sings only for himself now.

I think they tried to turn Nia face this past Monday, but I can't see it working. After she threw Dean out of the ring Cole hampered on about how inspirational Nia Jax is to little girls.

Daniel Bryan, Tomasso Ciampa, they are over as heels.

Corbin and Nia's heat is more like X-Pac or "go away" type than them being effective as heels. People are more likely to change the channel than be invested in their dastardly work.

Bryan's an odd case since its another situation of a heel being right about what they are saying but is only being booed because of his antics.

Baszler is pretty over as a heel but pales in comparison to the heat Ciampa gets with crowds in NXT.

I don't count anything in NXT as real heat.....

I started to wonder the other day about if NXT is helping or hindering rasslers.... when they can come out and have the crowd eating out of their hand for very little, and then go to the bigger stages and thinking it will work the same....

They don't get to do the same thing though.

It's a crazy thought process that Vince has. He introduces them as new characters, but assumes everybody has watched NXT so he doesn't take anytime to build them up at all. But then Vince thinks we won't notice that he has taken 1 thing about their character, and made that 1 thing their entire character.

Over the last 5 years, let's start with Paige's call up, what characters have been called up that have kept any depth of their character?

K.O. and Samoa Joe are the only 2 who come to mind, and they aren't recent callous. It has only got worse and worse as time has gone along.

We are at the point that Vince is calling up EC3 to literally stand backstage flexing. No matches, no promos, he hasn't even spoke 1 word. His whole gimmick is he travels the world to look at himself in a mirror at different arenas.

Lacey Evans went from a bad ass with class to calling the other woman "Nasties".

I can't wait for when Vince makes Gargano's main roster gimmick be the guy who winks a lot like, you know, like his logo Pal.

Vince doesn’t feel like he needs to coddle talent like Triple H needs to to get over in NXT. He wants a finished product that he can plug in, and if you can’t keep up, “Next!”
