Hahaha I can only imagine the tales to be spun if Jacques Rougeau is on there.
My favourite Jacques story is Jacques working in Memphis in the mid 80s and telling Jerry Lawler that he should work babyface in their match because "I'm more over than you" He didn't last too much longer. |

Lol do you remember this epic facebook post New Jack made about Terri Runnels (they used to date)
1. I left Terri because she is an bi-polar alcoholic who gets every morning at 5:30 to make a very stiff vodka and cranberry….. EVERY MORNING!! 2. She’s hooked on percs,,,, BAD!! 3. She is very big liar and the Terri Runnels that you (the world) know is totally different from who I had to deal with. She not that little sweet innocent girl she pretends to be. 4. Her house is in foreclosure (public record) and been there for 2 years and she thought I was gonna be her savior. 5. She doesn’t want a man. She wants a butler and or driver. 6. She let her daughter bring a online stranger over for Christmas without checking him out. (WHAT KIND OF PARENT IS THAT) .. BUT ONE THE MAIN REASONS IS THAT I FOUND OUT (the hard way) THAT SHE HAD HERPES SINCE SHE WAS 18 AND HAD NO PROBLEMS HIDING FROM PEOPLE WHILE HAVING UNPROTECTED SEX. I’M WAITING FOR MY TEST RESULTS …UPDATES COMING) |

I think you're the only one who caught that pun
|
Lmao at that Terri post.on FB.
I just want to see one video of him getting knocked out or beat up really bad. Does this exist? |
I am really interested in the Herb Abrams story because I love all the failed attempts to make a big company.

Watched the New Jack episode earlier today and thought it was pretty good overall. Doesn't really reveal any new juicy hidden details about his career that weren't already known though.
It did have the best ever ending for a documentary. Laughed a lot when they reenacted New Jack's wish for how a movie about him would end. |
When he said he beat up a 100 year old man during the Gypsy Joe bit I cracked up.
New Jack is funny. |
Listen to Corny interview the guys from Dark Side of the Ring. They got John Stossel for the Dr. D David Schultz episode. Holy shit.
|
Didn’t Stossel get a huge settlement from WWF because of that? You’d think he’d have a confidentiality agreement in place.
Unless he’s going to say the whole thing was a work. Oh god please do that. |
He's talked about it before in his book. Schultz has as well.
|
I hope they get Stossel to talk shit about Schultz and then they're like "Well...he's here tonight!" just to watch Stossel freak out.
|
Then he slaps him again
|
Grimes apparently told Meltzer at Roland Alexander's funeral that the scaffold/taser shit was a work and that he just spoke to New Jack earlier in the day
|
Roland Alexander was the obese carny in Beyond The Mat wasn't he? Not worth a Google. Too ugly.
|
That would be him
|
The Brawl for All episode is tonight. Looks like Cornette and Russo are both in it. Hope they don’t ruin this one like they did the Montreal Screwjob episode.
|
Actually that one would’ve been bad even if they weren’t in it
|
Lol you know it's going to be a Russo vs Cornette pissing match
Probably looking forward to this one the least this season, except for maybe the Road Warriors |
Quote:
Both trying to take credit for it when all the actually people involved have constantly said the only ones who knew were Vince, Brisco, Hebner, HBK, and HHH. Bonus from that episode, Scott Hall still thinking it was a work lol. |
Hall saying Shawn told him it was a work was the only new or interesting thing in that episode.
|
Pretty weak episode so far
|
Definitely the weakest episode I've seen including Season 1.
|
Holy shit at the trailer for next weeks episode.

Brawl for All was better than the Montreal Screwjob one IMO. While it had a bunch of Corny/Russo nonsense, it at least had the fresh element of Bart Gunn's perspective, which I found to be EASILY the most interesting part. He came across as a humble (relatively) dude who understood his own circumstances. Plus, Droz was a breath of fresh air. And Godfather was fun, too.
The main problem with the story is that it really isn't all that intriguing. We all knew it was a dumb idea, and it played out as such. Not much else to it. But I appreciated the narrative, minus the Corny/Russo stuff -- which was pointless. |
wonder why jbl was not interviewed for it that would have been good.
|
Fuuuuuuuuck I can't wait for the Snuka episode omg
|
Godfather, Gillberg, and Butterbean all in a room.....Damn!
|
Vince Russo came off so badly during that it was nearly unwatchable.
It was great to see Bart Gunn and Droz at least. |
Russo is a twatwaffle.
|
He looked like such a moron. You can definitely see why Cornette hates him.
|
"shitstain"
|
Quote:
Also, JBL has commented on it before. He said his idea was for what would become the hardcore division, but Russo took that and came up with Brawl for All. That it did nobody any good and was dumb. JBL also admitted nobody knew how good of punches Bart Gunn had, and had no embarrassment that he got his ass kicked. |
Also, how the fuck is Vince Russo STILL getting work for doing a good job at something 22 years ago. It's insanity.
|
Some would argue he didn’t do all that good of a job in the first place as his approach was undeniably unsustainable.
|
What I don't get is the "nice guy" stuff about Russo. Dude is clearly a piece of shit, lol.
|
Just finished the Brawl For All episode.Thankfully a little lighter than New Jack and Benoit episodes - but still good.
Russo is as Russo as ever. I wonder if this was a few years later if Brock would have easily won. Do you guys think Brock would have demolished Butterbean if they squared up, I have to think he would have. |

|
Butterbean would have killed Brock under those rules.

Was the WM15 match under Boxing rules or Brawl for all rules?
|
I thought it was a “Brawl For All” match but Gunn tried to box (rather than use a takedown) which didn’t go very well for him.
|
Boxing, that's why Bart boxed him.
That wasn't really made clear in the episode, they made it seem like Bart went out and boxed him because he was told to rather than because those were the rules. Bart Gunn having a win over Cabbage Correira was an interesting point. I mean if it was an MMA match Bart Gunn probably would kill Butterbean. Butterbean's MMA record, much like his boxing one is highly questionable even in a kind light. Freak show events. |
Hold on, it does say on the WM15 wiki that it was a Brawl For All match...
That doesn't make sense though because the BFA was over by then and the match was presented as a boxing match with a boxer as the ref and everything. This event doesn't stand up to scrutiny! |
In this moment, I am convinced that Bart Gunn would have destroyed Butterbean in an mma/brawl for all style match.
Oh God, I didn't think the BFA could be any more of a travesty but knowing that Bart Gunn could actually have beaten the Bean is too much for me to cope with. |

Really looking forward to the Snuka episode
|
Snuka is going to be tremendous.
|
Just finished watching the Brawl for All episode and came away with thinking the whole thing was even dumber than I previously felt.
Not even the brackets had any real thought put into it to ensure the whole thing wouldn't quickly fall apart the moment something went wrong. |
Quote:
|
Bart Gunn successfully executed takedowns in the BFA.
I'm sure he had a takedown on Dr Death. |
Quote:
He absolutely went in there to box. Watch the way he's standing and look at his hands. He ain't shooting for takedowns and he isn't rushing in looking for a wild knockout. |
Yeah he tried to straight square up with Butterbean. Really shouldn't have done that considering the size difference and the notorious punching power of Bean. He was doomed from the start.
|
What actually could have been though if Dr. Death didn't tear his hamstring and won the whole thing? :-\
|
also did they actually lose out on supposedly $5 million as Cornette said?
|
Assuming 5 mill is what they were paying for Williams's deal and then he effectively couldn't fulfill it - yes, they lost it.
|
There is no way Vince gave him a $5 million deal in 1998. I am sure Cornette was referring to potential revenue, but that's not really the same as losing the money.
|
He's talking about the money they could have drawn with a Dr. Death vs Austin feud
|
Do you think Dr Death/Austin would have drawn?
|

The Miracle Violence Connection would have gotten over in the early 90's.
What a name for a tag team. |

Probably would have hooked up with Vince. |
Just watched them all, the Moolah one is really weird, spent the whole episode saying how bad she was, then in the last 2 minutes you got 6 girls saying nothing happened then a girl who spent the whole time saying how bad she was end the episode saying Moolah was great and if you say Moolah was a pimp it means she was a prostitute.

The B4A ended in Aug 1998. The Sept PPV was Austin vs Kane vs Taker for the title and a number 1 contender 3 way cage match between Shamrock vs Rock vs Mankind . You could have put Williams fresh off a B4A win into the 3 way and make it a 4 way(scrap the cage match). Have Williams win the match and face Austin at the Oct PPV Judgement Day ending in some sort of screwy finish causing the title to be held up till the tournament at SS
|
Then you could have Vince enter Williams in the field as his hired assassin who's only focus of to make sure Austin doesn't win the title kinda like Andre and Hogan in WM4. Maybe they both get dq'd or Austin gets DQ for using a chair
Williams faces Austin at the Dec PPV Rock Bottom and Austin wins ending the feud. Then you do the same shit they did at the 99 Rumble or whatever |
Hire me now Vince

There is no way they were going to backseat The Rock or the Undertaker for him. |

Don Muraco

Awesome episode so far.
|
Oh wow, Snuka's widow
|
HOLY SHIT WHAT AN EPISODE!

Mine didnt record and I gotta wait for the replay later

|
These tend to get pulled down so I'll post a few.

Watching it now. Is his widow basically admitting he did it? It certainly sounds like it.
|
Snuka's wife spent the whole episode deflecting or dancing around making any definitive statements, the ex cop looked shadier than a pawn shop cashier and Sam Fatu cheerfully accidentally drops a huge clanger that casts even greater doubt on Snuka.
Maybe the best put together episode since Brody or the Von Erichs because it effectively puts it all on a platter for you. Reading about these things makes it hard to form an accurate image, these episodes give you a good view. New Jack still the funniest though, likely always will be. |
Yeah they asked Fatu the right way so he wouldn't have his guard up on the question.
|
They way they showed him zimmer off afterwards was classic.
He knew what he had done. |
Dino Bravo episode next week. That should be an awesome episode as well.

This lying sack of shit. Oh man what an episode. |
The part where the interviewer mentioned about Fatu saying he had been in the car was just perfect TV.
He guessed it just as he was saying it, then in a split second you can see sheer panic in his face. That man is a practiced liar but he didn't see that coming at all. |
It seems like interest dropped off greatly after the Benoit episode which is a shame. The few sites I frequent had hardly any comments on this one.
Dino Bravo and then Dr. D David Schultz. Fuck man. Such interesting stories. |
The Snuka story is just so fucked. Benoit did what he did, but he killed himself and would have been caught if he stayed alive. Some semblance of justice was served. Or at least the loop was closed, so to speak.
But Snuka got to just go and wrestle and do a bunch of crack until he died. No justice. |
Got one question about Vince role in this, they almost didn't talk about him except that maybe he was at the police station after. I'm not questioning if Vince would want to get involved but did he had enough money to buy murder charge in 83 ?
|
Snuka was arguably the hottest wrestler in the world in a feud that was the hottest feud in the history of the company next to maybe Bruno vs Larry. Vince would have emptied his pockets.
But he didn't really have to. The town made a lot of money off Vince and his wrestlers over the years. It was in both parties best interest to sweep this under the rug |
