He really wasn't, just another brooding punk rock guy. Serviceable sure, but not much else.

Good for him. Weird if anything happens. I kind of always assumed he *could* but there were better options now.

Good for him if he wants to get back in the ring.

Can't say I really enjoyed his work, though.

Lol, it was weird to get used to Daniel Bryan being known as Bryan Danielson for the first time in over a decade......Corey Graves becoming Sterling James Keenan again would weird me out even more.

Just bring him in as “Stupid Haircut Johnson”.

His gimmick can be that he’s got a stupid haircut, you see.

Never saw him wrestle

Had overated stats in EWR back in the day so I used him for a cheap but dependable jobber.

I’ve come to realize that every indie guy from the mid 2000s had overrated stats in EWR.

I once signed Eddie Edwards in EWR and just had him and Dolph Ziggler wrestle each other every single week, guaranteed 98% match quality rating every time.

Once I started playing TEW I couldn’t go back to EWR. Need that silly amount of sub-stats and such to make things more realistic.

Yeah, he was a "submission wrestler" by his own admission I guess? I dunno, think I saw 3-4 matches of his in NXT and nothing more.

I mean the guy clearly has a major spot in WWE that will earn him millions and he wants to gamble that on an ego push to continue something that nobody remembers him doing? Silly choice.

I wouldn't be opposed to him leaning more into the Bobby Heenan thing and managing someone while commentating - he's able to take bumps now, so babyfaces can get comeuppance on him for getting involved.

Well you're looking at it purely from a business perspective. Imagine you have a career doing something you love doing more than anything else in the world. Then you're told you can't do that thing ever again. And for years your new job is to watch and commentary over people doing this thing that love so passionately that you still can't do.

And then someone tells you can do the thing you love again, but doing so may negatively impact you financially. I think most people would take the hit, so long as they aren't destitute. And Graves comes off like someone who is smart with his monet. Most guys these days are. They aren't blowing their paychecks on hookers and blow like the old days.
