The last movie I watched most recently was "Still Waiting" and I was disappointed. The first one was funnier and crazier than this one... although the boobs on that one chick... holy crap.

But before that was Frailty and that was rather good. I liked the twists and everything that was in it. It kept me watchin, entertained, and thinking.

And in theaters it was "Push" and I was just glad it wasn't a bad adaptation of Jumper. The movie was ... good action wise but overall I'd say it was average at best.

Such a great movie. There is so much more to it than people realize when watching it the first time. The little details throughout the movie really make it amazing.

Yeah I know, the more I watched it the more it came together, and the more I noticed the little details, and the better it got.

Tsotsi - 9/10

Yeah, pretty good to re-watch and pick up on the subtleties that you miss on the first viewing.

Mobsters - 3.5/5

How Pat Dempsey went from Meyer Lansky to Dr. McDreamy is beyond me.

IC Champion 02-18-2009 10:32 PM

Mobsters was awful

Gonzo 02-19-2009 05:58 PM

Michael Clayton 7/10

OssMan 02-19-2009 11:07 PM

The Bucket List - 7/10

I dunno, it was a good movie for me right now. Whatever.

PapaGeorgio 02-20-2009 12:01 AM

Ghost Town - 7/10 Decent watch, has its moments. Nothing spectacular, possibly a good date movie, not sure. I heart Ricky Gervais so that helped out a lot, he definitely made this movie for me.

Towelhead - 7/10 A lot different than what I thought. Exploring all those sexual topics reminded me of a Todd Solondz movie, but just never really seemed to go anywhere for me, never really having a plot or story arch. Could have just missed it, as I didn't focus on it 100 percent towards second half.

11:14 - 8.5/10

Very fun, enjoyable film. I would sell my Mom to nail Rachel Leigh Cook in this

D Mac 02-20-2009 05:12 PM

Darkman 2: Return of Durant 7/10

IC Champion 02-21-2009 04:00 AM

LA Confidential - 8/10

Hotel Rwanda - 8/10

Memento - 8/10

Dr. Strangelove - 8/10

All really good movies.

D Mac 02-21-2009 06:33 AM

My Name is Bruce: 9/10

Bruce Fucking Campbell

Downunder 02-22-2009 05:25 AM

Ghost Tow - 5/10.

Fucking chick flick

PorkSoda 02-22-2009 02:07 PM

Blades of Glory - 6.5/10

It was gay (two guys skating together) but was funny at the same time.

Splaya 02-23-2009 02:18 AM

Taken

10/10

Loved this movie. Great story, great action.

.44 Magdalene 02-23-2009 05:50 AM

Max Payne: Absolute crap. We were laughing our asses off the entire movie.

D Mac 02-23-2009 03:05 PM

Body of Lies 7/10

XL 02-23-2009 04:04 PM

IC has been on the quality film trail again I see. Good work (although perhaps the fact that it's taken you this long to get round to some of them is a little, I dunno, wrong?).

Gotta spread rep.

CSL 02-23-2009 04:08 PM

Hearbreak Ridge - 7.5/10

A million Eastwood one liners and an entertaining Mario van Peebles. The action scenes haven't aged too well though

thedamndest 02-23-2009 04:09 PM

Yeah, all solid picks for IC. Are you d/ling or netflixing or just going to the local rentery? WHAT'S YOUR SECRET?

I never really watched movies, sure I've seen some here and there, but I hadn't seen most of the classics. I decided to start watching all the good movies I hadn't seen a couple months ago, and have been watching at a furious pace.

IC Champion 02-23-2009 04:24 PM

Also:

Mystic River - 7.5/10. Tim Robbins was amazing, and Sean Penn over rated. Good film, but I can't help but think it should have been better.

Gone Baby Gone - 7.6/10

3:10 to Yuma - 7.5/10

thedamndest 02-23-2009 04:35 PM

Now if you would just watch Die Hard.

I can't. I derided my friend who likes action movies for loving Die Hard. I hate Bruce Willis.

thedamndest 02-23-2009 05:01 PM

Why don't you start with Die Hard 3? It's got Sam Jackson so you can claim you're watching for him.

IC Champion 02-23-2009 05:12 PM

Samuel L. has let me down over the years.

I'll DL Die Hard and watch it once I'm done Brazil and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Boondock Saint 02-24-2009 03:11 AM

Dude, Die Hard is one of the greatest action movies ever.

Downunder 02-24-2009 03:30 AM

Underworld whatever - the rise of the Lychees - 2/10

why did i bother.

D Mac 02-24-2009 05:42 AM

That's Lycans, DU.

:shifty:

ClockShot 02-24-2009 02:58 PM

Full Metal Jacket - 5/5

Man. When Kubrick left this world, we lost a real master.

IC Champion 02-24-2009 03:35 PM

A Clockwork Orange - 7.5/10

Die Hard 3 (With a Vengeance) was back in 1995, so L. Jackson won't let you down there. Also, hes funny as hell in WAV. I haven't seen the other two, but I need to.

IC Champion 02-24-2009 06:59 PM

The Insider - 8/10

Russell Crowe was great in this film, Pacino was average Pacino. Still, really good movie.

Kalyx triaD 02-25-2009 03:33 AM

Wonder Woman - 8/10

Pretty sweet origin story with some nice action. A longer feature would benefit the themes involved, though. By the time you see Diana brawling with Ares on the White House while Zombie-Amazons attack in Washington DC after the President launched a nuke, I felt like it was the climax to a much longer epic. And yeah, you read that right.

PorkSoda 02-26-2009 01:22 AM

1408 - 6/10.

Really fucked up. John Cusac was drinking in the movie, so I personally think that was the reason for everything.

IC Champion 02-26-2009 02:43 PM

Cinderella Man - 8/10

A Beautiful Mind - 8.1/10

I loved both of these movies, both were fucking great. I no longer have a man-crush on George Clooney, he has now been replaced by the much more talented Russell Crowe.

D Mac 02-27-2009 05:06 AM

Lakeview Terrace: 8/10

Sam is great in this.
