Dynamite Kid passes away 🙁

RIP to him after his struggles in his life, inspired so many guys out there now.

Rammsteinmad 12-05-2018 06:21 AM

He was before my time, but yeah, influential to a lot of legendary guys. R.I.P.

I remember watching his matches on the re runs of old shows of ITV wrestling and WWF shows from the 80s. Him and Bulldog were the first British wrestlers I was aware of.

His personal life was the kind they could make a movie about and he was another guy who received problems due to the use of the Diving Headbutt and other such moves.

RIP.

many of those who followed owe the man a debt of gratitude. he was a game changer for pro wrestling.

he should also be a warning sign for those doing all those insane moves as young men. do you really want to wind up a crippled old man years from now?

Bad News Gertner 12-05-2018 07:15 AM

No kidding . He was pretty much cooked by 1987.

Big Poppa Pauly 12-05-2018 08:20 AM

Inspired many a wrestler, but quite the scumbag by all accounts.

His book is well worth a read, though.

I'll put aside any comments on him as a person for now, and just say that he was a mind-blowing, decades ahead of his time in-ring talent.

Benoit is probably jacking off his idol at this very moment.

Opened my IG this morning and saw WWE's post about his death. I thought they were acknowledging his birthday until I read the caption.

R.I.P little guy.

Sad to think he spent half his life unable to walk after being such an outstanding athlete.
Still, packing that much weight onto a frame that small and then hurling it around on wooden boards and canvas was asking for trouble.

Bad News Gertner 12-05-2018 05:29 PM

Injecting himself with massive amounts of steroids didn't help

SlickyTrickyDamon 12-06-2018 12:36 AM

RIP.

He was a cunt though.

You can add Larry “The Axe” Hennig to the threat title if you want. :(

WWE is saddened to learn that legendary Superstar and Hennig family patriarch Larry “The Axe” Hennig passed away today at 82 years old following a long illness and kidney failure.

A five-time tag team champion in the AWA, Hennig entered the sports-entertainment world under the tutelage of Verne Gagne and crossed paths with some of the most illustrious performers of all time. Most famously, Hennig was among Bruno Sammartino’s challengers for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the hallowed halls of Madison Square Garden.

Though his own career was cut short due to injury, Hennig’s legacy spanned another two generations thanks to his son, the late WWE Hall of Famer Mr. Perfect, and grandson, former Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel.

WWE extends its condolences to Hennig’s family, friends and fans.

He deserves his own thread.
