Surfing the internet while listening to this jam

<object width="420" height="315"><param name="movie" value="//www.youtube.com/v/QivrO4uLwUo?version=3&amp;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="//www.youtube.com/v/QivrO4uLwUo?version=3&amp;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="420" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>

Everything feels so positive, hopeful, and inspiring.

Basically the opposite of what the internet usually feels like.

So I think we all agree there's a chance we get that Rhodes vs Rhodes match that Goldust has been pushing for at WrestleMania, right?

So my question is: Who turns heel? Or do they go face vs face?

I was just thinking about it and nothing makes sense. Goldust turning and being the heel wouldn't feel right. He'd just be too much of an underdog and a sympathetic favorite against his much younger, much more in his prime brother. But I think they've gotta like what Cody has shown as a face and wouldn't wanna turn him again so soon. Don't think there would be enough heat behind a face vs face match between the two to warrant a valuable spot on the WrestleMania card either. I don't know. I can't see how they would make it work.

James Steele 12-04-2013 08:46 PM

They would have 3 1/2 months to make it work.

Emperor Smeat 12-04-2013 08:51 PM

Really depends on when it occurs but Goldust would make more sense turning than Cody.

Goldust accidentally costs him the chance to win the Rumble and then later the tag titles on purpose because he's gotten sick of Cody's pouting and becoming delusional about him always having to carry the team.

The other way is him accidentally costing the tag titles, slowly getting sick of Cody, and later on purpose backstabs Cody during the Rumble to shatter his dreams of main eventing Mania.

James Steele 12-04-2013 08:53 PM

Have Goldust slowly become obsessed with finally becoming World Champion and slowly descending into that dark world he was in after he blows his "last shot at immortality". Imagine Goldust winning some #1 Contender's Tournament and losing in a huge hyped up RAW title match or even better at Elimination Chamber. He then beats the shit out of Cody the next night when they lose the Tag Titles to 3MB or Axel/Ryback. Bring in all the emotional family elements, all the issues their family has faced, and have Goldust beat the living shit out of father. You could easily make this one of the most emotional matches in WrestleMania history.

I've been meaning to do a poll on this very subject.

XL 12-05-2013 07:48 AM

Did they drop the Tyson Kidd thing?

#BROKEN Hasney 12-05-2013 11:30 AM

Ahahaha, this is allegedly why (according to the Observer) that Eva Marie looked like a stupid bint celebrating after she was eliminated at Survivor Series:

Quote:

Another note regarding Survivor Series and our criticism of Eva Marie after being eliminated, when she was smiling and celebrating as she walked to the back, which makes no sense if you’ve just lost your match on a big show, this was not her fault. They are teaching new talent that if they are on the face side that when they leave the ring they should smile and engage the fans and play their character, and not sell the loss.

Recent stuff from the dirtsheets (Observer, PWInsider):

Quote:

Regarding everything changing on Mondays, RAW is WWE's big priority and as of late, they don't even start talking about what they are going to do on SmackDown until Monday afternoon. Then around 6pm, Vince will want the writing team to give him a SmackDown main event so it can be promoted on RAW, and then the writers start scrambling for a match. This is why SmackDown and Main Event matches on RAW frequently change.
Quote:

The reason this week's CM Punk vs. a member of The Shield match was promoted is because as of around 10pm on Monday night, Vince still hadn't made up his mind on which of the three Shield members would best fit as Punk's opponent.
Quote:

WWE has reportedly signed Jasper Orton, the 18 year old cousin of Randy Orton, to a developmental deal. Jasper just graduated high school this past year and is currently out of action with a torn meniscus. Jasper is also from St. Louis.
Quote:

Regarding Sin Cara's contract with WWE, it reportedly expires in January but WWE has the option to renew it if they want. As noted, Cara may be done with WWE after Hunico worked under the mask on Monday's RAW.
Quote:

The announcement regarding the WrestleMania location for 2015 is expected soon. The decision was reportedly made three or four months ago and could be either Philadelphia or the Santa Clara/San Jose area in California.
Quote:

The movie ticket website Fandango.com is in the process of opposing WWE's trademark registration of Fandango.

XL 12-05-2013 06:45 PM

Some supposed new WWE Network details:

Quote:

We can confirm PWInsider.com's report of February 24th being the expected launch date of the WWE Network.

WZ can now exclusively report the WWE Network will contain all of the RAW's, SmackDown's and WWE pay-per-views ever produced off the bat on the first day of launch in its extensive library.

However, there are some interesting new details regarding the WWE Network and that it won't be available via cable providers.
* Will be more like Netflix than their WWE On Demand service or an actual channel.
* $10-$12 per month with options to buy 6-month and/or yearly subscriptions.
* Wrestlemania XXX teased to be offered as an incentive to being a subscriber.

one of the greatest angles of all time imo

this got Continental in a lot of trouble with the local tv station apparently

while WWF was promoting wholesome family entertainment, Continental Wrestling was doing controversial angles like this:

<object width="640" height="480"><param name="movie" value="//www.youtube.com/v/A9XZ-eEW8Fo?version=3&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="//www.youtube.com/v/A9XZ-eEW8Fo?version=3&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="640" height="480" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>

the video description: Lady Mystic comes to the podium in tears. She's apparently been beaten by Dirty White Boy for last week's hair cut. She begs again and again for Tom Prichard to come to the desk. When Tom does finally show up all hell breaks loose.

Mr. Nerfect 12-05-2013 10:48 PM

I think it's about time for Fandango to "mature" anyway. If there is a guy that could really do with a Paul Heyman make-over, name change and image change, it's Johnny Curtis. That guy could be something.

Mr. Nerfect 12-05-2013 10:48 PM

It's a shame they put Big E. Langston over him, because Fandango could really have been the next IC Champion.

#1-norm-fan 12-05-2013 11:21 PM

I wouldn't put Heyman with Johnny Curtis. He's arguably the most charismatic and likable personality in the company. He doesn't need someone like Heyman to cut serious "this guy's a machine/the next wrestling legend" promos and take away attention from that. Roman Reigns should be a Paul Heyman guy. He's PERFECT for the role.

Bad News Gertner 12-06-2013 12:35 AM

Gentlemen, I must inform you that I have some good news and some bad news

The good news is, Eva Marie while smiling after her loss on PPV, teaching us that winning isn't everything.

Bad News Gertner 12-06-2013 12:35 AM

I remember the first time I saw Vince McMahon without a suit on, and saw how jacked the dude was.

He was announced to fight Stone Cold Steve Austin and I was like "Pffft yeah, like we are supposed to buy that Vince has a chance here", but then he came out in his "wrestling gear" and I was like "Holy ****, Vince! .... He may actually have a chance here...."

Lock Jaw 12-06-2013 10:35 PM

Never in a million years would have guessed he was that jacked underneath his suits.
