Really tragic. She spoke about CTE last night, people have brought up a terrible spot that Dixie Carter convinced her to do that injured her. It could be a lot of things. Horrible news, she was super entertaining in WCW and TNA, very underrated in many aspects. RIP.

One of my wrestling guilty pleasures is that I actually kinda liked the Daffney, David Flair, Crowbar stuff in WCW. It was terrible but kinda fun terrible. You know what I mean.

She got herself pretty over and it was organic. People loved that act.

This is the worst of the world of pro wrestling. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but didn't she initially get hurt because she took a stiff spot from some greenhorn (Rosey Lottalove?) which caused long term damage? Like, "no longer able to wrestle" long term damage? Then TNA didn't cover her medical bills and there was a lawsuit at some point?

You always just think these guys will find other work and just be ok being normal. Its the ones who get just big enough to make a career out of it but not big enough to make enough to retire who wind up like this. Fuck.

Yeah. She managed to later win a settlement over the issue which was something rare to happen in wrestling and could have led to a bigger industry changing moment had it been a judge's ruling in her favor instead.

Legit one of the few reasons to even bother with WCW in its dying days and one of my favorite female personalities. RIP.

Yeah, just the description of it is harrowing. Saying how she's all alone even as the chat is blowing up with wrestlers and fans trying to tell her she's now, and her phone vibrating with people trying to reach out to her.

I wanted to have hope when I heard her family knew her address and was sending the police there, but knowing the video ended with her cocking a pistol and trying to get her cats out of the room...I had a sinking feeling whatever was about to happen was imminent.

Just a terrible story.

All jokes aside, a woman made a video crying uncontrollably in a severely mentally depressed state with a gun that more than likely she then used to kill herself right after filming. People who have had suicide touch their family or someone close to them don't need to be exposed to that. It's a terribly heartbreaking thing that happened. Go seek it out if you want to watch it. Like Seph said it's not hard to find.

I saw it live. I got it. I felt it. It's how I i've felt. I'm not ready to act out like that but please know that there are people that will act out and take their lives. This is not a joke guys!

I am not sure if she was actually released before WCW shut down or if she didnt take the buyout like many of them didnt. I know she ended up in WWE developmental later on for a bit but never got called up.

I thought she showed up on WWF tv briefly during the invasion, but honestly it does not matter.



I hate that this happened. This is not about the talent she was. This is about the person she was. And we never knew that person. It's so easy to be like " hey that's Daffney " but we dont know her life. It's not on TNA, WCW, WWF or WWE. It not on any wrestling faction at the end of the day. She clearly had issue and it sucks that she could not get help. It's not any organizations fault. That blaming shit needs to stop!


I'm a regular dude that has issues. I've never been affiliated with any of these wrestling organizations...


Are they liable if I decide to off myself? And if I happen to wrestle a match with them, are they liable?

I hate that she killed herself but I saw Karl Anderson chime in and he's a fucking idiot. It's not anyone's fault. She simply had issues. To blame anyone organization for what they provide is fucking idiotic. She had issues and it's sad. It's no ones fault and anyone that play's the blame game ( Karl Anderson ) is a fucking asshole!

Such a tragedy - it's heartbreaking.

She had been extremely transparent over the last few years about everything she'd been going through mentally, but the thing about depression is that no matter what anyone tells you, none of it sinks in.

You really only ever hear the voice that tell you things will never improve.
