That was awful. Especially them having Emma put up a fight against her when they were just gonna release her anyway. But she was at least winning. It wasn't DEAD. You could excuse it. Then at WrestleMania, she definitely could have looked stronger in the loss but at least she lost to Charlotte who seemed like she could be credible. But then Charlotte lost clean to Carmella and it was like "... Well, fuck. I guess since it wasn't Asuka losing directly to Carmella, there's still SOMETHING..." But now it's over.

Pretty much yeah. They don't want to make every match a squash, but it doesn't matter because at the end it's not oh look another win makes her look stronger, it's just oh well, of course she won, because streak. Really her win streak took a lot of the fun out of the mixed match challenge because as soon as they made it clear that a loss would affect her streak it was clear she was going to win.

No it was the only thing that got him over. Therefore he had no credibility, just a streak. Well not no credibility. His muscles gave him credibility, and his limited exposure added to it. But he was built on the foundation of his streak and as soon as that was gone he had nothing. We'll never know if he could have rebounded properly because he decided to punch a limousine window.
