YAYASS! Looks interesting. Loved the last one so I'm pretty excited.
|
Looks dope as fuck.
|
Trailer looked great overall. Hope this film has more Godzilla screen time since that was something sorely lacking in recent films.
|
I'm not even a big Godzilla mark and this looks sick. You know Kong has to show up at some point as well, too. Skull Island was one of the more surprisingly good movies I've seen in a while.
Just hope they don't overload this with the "Titans" to the point it becomes bloated. |
Wonder if Braun Strowman is going to be in this film since he is a "Monster among men."
Maybe he cashes in his Monster in the Bank case to save the world in the end. |
Hated the last one, but this one looks like it could maybe be better.
|
I enjoyed Godzilla. It's better the second time around because you don't spend the entire film waiting to get a good look.
|
I think the first one caught some people off guard because they weren't expecting a slow burn. I loved it though.
|
It also felt to me like it couldn't settle down and decide what kind of movie it was gonna be, or what it was gonna be about.
|
I was expecting this to be some sort of Monster slugfest.
Instead we need all the monsters to rally together to take down Ghidorah…….again. |
That volcano Rodan left might have been on Skull Island.
|
The hollow Earth theory seemed so attractive in Skull Island.

Go here and try and find where Rodan pops out of. It ain't Skull Island. |
I loved the slow burn in the first one. It was reminiscent of the originals, and it made that first roar at the airport worth it.
|
The probelem with the first Godzilla was the best character was only on screen for 30 minutes. Most of the other characters were not interesting.
|
Miley Bobbie Brown playing her character from Stranger Things. Tywin Lannister playing Tywin Lannister.

Did you see the original or the re-cut American version? |
He's talking about the first movie in this particular incarnation of Godzilla.
|
Ah, was it even 30 minutes?
|
Hell of a 30 minutes though.

I was referring to Bryan Cranston, but the confusion is understood.
I liked how Godzilla was handled. I was ok with the “slow burn” approach. |
Another one?

That might be one of the most epic trailers of all time. The music (Debussy’s Clair de lune) really gives the whole thing a larger than life and emotional feel.
|
That last shot

Looks alright. Thought the 2014 one was shit, and I don't feel like this is a franchise that can really take off these days. Just feels like this film will be another huge letdown.
And of course, we're all just waiting for King Kong to get involved, in another shameless attempt at studios cashing in on the whole shared-universe thing. |
I'm still not sure how that will work. The King Kong they intro'd in this franchise while still considerably larger than past versions was still way, way shorter than Godzilla. Maybe he's grown taller since the 1970's. Also 'zilla appears to be the face in this film. Maybe he will turn heel on humanity in Godzilla vs Kong.
|
I assumed Kong was smaller but faster, more agile and pound-for-pound stronger than Godzilla, who is just all-round more "powerful".
I dunno. I don't really care. Kong and 2014 Godzilla both disappointed me. |
Well that's because you don't know joy or happiness. But no need to bring the rest of us down.
Also this film is gonna rock so hard. |
Meh.
|
Skull Island Kong can't be that much smaller than Godzilla, surely?
|
Kong was a teen in Skull Island. His parents bones revealed that he will be near Kaiju sized.
|
Sadly despite trying to drift with the Kaiju's, my bone remains gaijin sized.
|
After watching that second trailer I still don't get where they're going here.
Is 'Zilla now the sole good guy here? Every monster for him/herself? Need some more clarification. |
Some of them are good. Godzilla, Mothra, maybe Gamera. Some of them are bad. King Ghidora and Rodan.

I'm still down. Looks fun.

Loved the last one. So excited for the follow up. Also liked Kong: Skull island. So excited for the crossover.
