"Our Time" Vs. "OuttaTime"

SlickyTrickyDamon 10-15-2015 11:55 PM

Can't believe the Cubs made this this far. It's density.

Yeah, we know. Every single person who read that post knew what you were talking about. You didn't have to post a picture or further explain it.

The MLB playoffs have been fucking incredible. They've literally killed whatever interest I had in the NHL.

Same. Habs are 5-0 and I haven't watched a single second of hockey all season yet....

having a difficult time comprehending the subtext of this post

Frank Drebin 10-16-2015 08:55 AM

Yah crazy to think that with 4 teams left, there are entire divisions that are eliminated. After this round there will only be one team from each league still in it. Insane.

I think he was just trying to say "LOLWESTCOAST" but he picked a very dumb, roundabout way to go about it.

he's also the moron who shows up every few months to go CANADA IS THE BEST FUCK EVERYONE ELSE, so I was wondering where he was going with that

Innovator 10-16-2015 10:01 AM

Happy for all the teams who made it to the LCS

Innovator 10-16-2015 10:01 AM

Now how about Donnie leaves the Dodgers and comes home

I dunno, Joe Girardi strikes me as a very good manager. I think his team simply fell short this year, but he comes across as a very poised individual. It would be pretty cool to see Donny baseball as the Yankee manager though.

Damian Rey 10-16-2015 12:30 PM

Girardi gets a ton ofpraise for being super prepared. Apparently he carries a mega size binder with him with tons of stats and info on advance scouting reports. What those stats are and how useful they are is in question, but a guy that devoted to harboring info with him is my kind of guy. Seems he'd be open to more modern lines of thought and game management.

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-16-2015 12:58 PM

It is quite zaney to think that a division was eliminated from the divisional series round.

Oh and I guess Edwin Encarnacion is also on the juice too right? They're just injecting each other in the butt right? You are what's wrong with sports fans.

BigDaddyCool 10-16-2015 09:06 PM

Let's go Royals!

With all that's at stake in pro sports this isn't an unlikely scenario.

Damian Rey 10-16-2015 09:32 PM

Droford questions Bautista's legitimacy yet fails to mention Chris Davis getting popped for adhd meds and also learning how to hit seemingly overnight after being abysmal in Texas. And let us not forget good old finger waiving Rafael Palmero, vehemently denying steroid use in front of congress only to get popped later. Wasn't Brian Roberts linked to ped use as well?

Very true. I wasn't comparing the Jays to the O's, but while we're on the subject...how bout that Brady Anderson fella? I'm always more suspicious of guys who get a "second wind" than a younger guy who figures it out though. Davis and Encarnacion were both top prospects, so despite the slow starts to their careers, it isn't at all shocking to see. Guys like Pujols or David Ortiz right now or Jermaine Dye a few years ago.

Also, remember when Palmero started to wear earplugs after he got pinched? Classic.

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-16-2015 09:49 PM

Yeah I immediately thought of Brady Anderson, but realistically everyone was on the juice. And it WAS odd that he never came close to being a power hitter again *checks career stats* yep I'm right, minus a 24 hr season so yeah a little odd.

Bautista is also 6'0 205, not exactly a giant, and his body change is a realistic one, if you take the time to work out in the gym, not matter what age you are. going from 180-205 lbs is literally an off season of weight training.

BigDaddyCool 10-16-2015 10:39 PM

USA USA USA

SUCK IT THE BLUE JAYS!

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-16-2015 10:40 PM

shadddddup. But yeah, this is one of those nights where the jays tip their caps. Straight up shut down. Price has to pick them up tomorrow.

BigDaddyCool 10-16-2015 11:04 PM

Why do you hate America?

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-16-2015 11:12 PM

because you sing that stupid song during the 7th inning stretch and it's awful.

BigDaddyCool 10-16-2015 11:15 PM

Stay out of America.

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-16-2015 11:22 PM

but seattle is pretty sweet

Bad News Gertner 10-17-2015 12:16 AM

Volquez was amazing

Frank Drebin 10-17-2015 12:32 AM

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-17-2015 08:16 AM

Chris Davis hit 21 homers at age 23 in 2009 with the Rangers in almost full seadon. His problem was getting playing time. The Rangers got rid of him in 2011 after playing him 73 games in 2010 and half of 2011. Plus he has the exemption for the medication like several other players.

Roberts and Palmeiro are other stories.

Evil Vito 10-17-2015 04:30 PM

Aside from one home run Tulowitzki has looked dreadful this postseason. jesus.
