Also I like to say this because nobody else really ever does. Rey Misterio is probably the best wrestler I've ever seen live. He's amazingly fun to watch and changes the level of every match before him. I appreciate that he's still working and still doing awesome stuff. I think he should be considered much higher on peoples list of GOAT's when it comes to "in ring performers".

Also want to say that the opening angled hooked me and I'm sticking around to see what happens with Cena/Roman. Did they even announce a main event for this show?

Saw Rey work a match with Cody at an Indy show in 2017 and it was ridiculously fun. Dude can still go when healthy. Sad he lost several years of his career from lime 2010-14 because his knees were held together by popsicle sticks.

Lucha guys tend to wrestle forever so hopefully he’s got more in the tank.

Whoaaaaaaaa! Didn't see it going down quite like that. I loved it though. Main Event Prince vs Big Match Roman. The crowd treated Finn like a major star. That went very well.

Balor in the mix is never a bad thing.

I know they had a match at one point, but I’m surprised they haven’t feuded Balor with Styles. He’s a guy that I would move to Smackers in the draft. Roman and Styles have good chemistry too.

Gotta keep their boy safe and what not. Either of those matchups would be fantastic.

Baron Corbin gimmick seems very good tbh

How was smackdown last night?

Lol I watched the first two segments tonight and the piped in noise is horrendous. Obviously they always piped in during the taped shows (remember the Smackdown seagull?) but I don’t remember them doing it for live shows. They’d usually just roll with the punches, even if it requires the announcers to claim it’s just a unique crowd that night.

Had no issues with crowd noise during empty arena shows obviously. But piping in loudass crowd noise over a live crowd just makes it seem cheesy and second rate.

Vince would love to go back to the Thunderdome lol

SmackDown was the best show in wrestling for a while, but it feels really boring now, tbh. Got major NXT vibes.

WWE loves the "championship contender match", the non-title challenge. Where usually the challenger pins the champion with a roll up.

Very lazy indy style stuff.

Just turned Smackdown on for the first time in a long time. I kinda like Roode and Ziggler as a team. Seems they’re just here to job though which is weird. I get it. Vince doesn’t give a fuck about tag team wrestling. But it’s a division that exists. So why not let a couple singles stars you don’t care about become a thing in a division you don’t care about?

I remember seeing Bianca as a heel whipping the shit out of people with her hair. Good heel tactic. Now she seems to be just swinging her hair around to pop the crowd.

Now Sasha Banks, her rival, is coming out mid-match and Michael Cole seems to think this crazy event is a good cliffhanger before going to commercial break.

I’ve used this commercial break to scan the channels and discover that there’s a good episode of Seinfeld on elsewhere. Probably gonna watch that.

Yep. Both the piped-in crowd noise and the “Contenders Match” are head-scratchers. Do not like.
