Just watched the series finale of Entourage. Kinda sad it's over, but it ended on a good note. Now hopefully we get that movie they were talking about

Andy Whitfield died after an 18-month battle with lymphoma.

He played Spartacus in Blood and Sand before he left to battle cancer.

R.I.P

Jura 09-12-2011 07:15 AM

Was just talking about him a few days ago. I felt like he was gonna recover again and possibly come back to the show and all of sudden...:(

Corporate CockSnogger 09-12-2011 01:40 PM

How is Castle? Is it worth watching?

Jura 09-12-2011 03:10 PM

If you're in love with either Stana Katic or Nathan Fillion then I'm sure you will like it. I like Bones better overall though.

Corporate CockSnogger 09-12-2011 10:22 PM

I do really like Nathan Fillion. I've just seen a bunch of clips where he references Firefly on it which I enjoyed. I might give it some consideration, although there are a bunch of other shows I'm interested in getting into.

Jura 09-12-2011 10:41 PM

Well I started watching because I ran out of shows and gave it a shot plus I was a fan of hers:

Chuck Norris joins JCVD as the newcomers to Expendables 2. Nic Cage and Travolta may also enter the ring. Of course Willis' mysterious Mr Church returns (possibly as a villain) and Stallone's rival Arnold will return to shed more light to their characters' estranged past.

Loving this.

Anyone watch the Roast of Charlie Sheen? Pretty funny actually

Innovator 09-22-2011 04:47 PM

I only caught Jeselnik's bit so far, the Pyror line went over everyone's head but Patrice.

CSL 09-22-2011 04:55 PM

saw it the other night, twas ok. Some good stuff, some bad stuff, thought Jeff Ross probably had the best "set". Saw some "uproar" about the bird joking about Ryan Dunn and wasn't looking forward to that and it turned out to be pretty much nothing. No idea who most of those people were tho. Popped for Aaron Paul in the audience.

Conan O'Brien Can't Stop is streaming on Netflix

Juan 09-24-2011 02:09 AM

Seriously pumped about watching this

Juan 09-24-2011 03:34 AM

Didn't think it was possible. but I love Conan O'Brien even more now. The passion he has to entertain is truly inspiring.

RoXer 10-02-2011 06:39 PM

Its going to be a season with each episode focused on what the character has been doing the past 5 years which will lead up to the movie

XL 10-05-2011 03:56 PM

So The Simpsons future is "in doubt".

'The Simpsons' Next Season Will Be Its Last

Whether the stars take a salary cut or not, there won't be many more new adventures in the town of Springfield.

Fox executives told The Wrap on Wednesday that even if the voice actors behind the iconic animated show "The Simpsons" take a massive pay cut, the show is no longer profitable as a first-run series and will end after next season. If the actors don't agree to a cut, this season, the show's 23rd, will be its final batch of new episodes.

The Daily Beast reported Monday that the actors were facing a 45% cut from their $440,000 per episode salary, which would take them down from $8 million to just over $4 million; they countered with an offer of a 30% cut but with a small slice of the show's backend, which includes merchandise, syndication and DVD sales. The executive told The Wrap that any agreement would only be for one more season.

Producers for the show have already taken a pay cut to keep the show going. Fox released a statement about the show's tenuous financial situation on Monday.

Quote:

23 seasons in, The Simpsons is as creatively vibrant as ever and beloved by millions around the world. We believe this brilliant series can and should continue, but we cannot produce future seasons under its current financial model. We are hopeful that we can reach an agreement with the voice cast that allows The Simpsons to go on entertaining audiences with original episodes for many years to come.
The stars re-upped their contracts in 2008, receiving significant raises; it was reported that they went from $360,000 to $500,000 an episode.

Blakeamus 10-07-2011 11:52 AM

In all honesty, I haven't watched a Simpson episode in over a decade, if not more.

"Skyfall" is definitely the worst movie name in the James Bond Series.
