Update: Jeff Hardy released.

Per PWInsider/Fightful, WWE has sent Jeff Hardy home after the following:

Quote:

Hardy teamed with Xavier Woods and Drew McIntye against The Bloodline last night in Edinburg, Texas for the main event of that Supershow live event. Hardy spent most of the match inside the ring, being worked over by Roman Reigns and The Usos and apparently becoming more sluggish as the match continues.

Once he made a hot tag to McIntyre, Hardy disappeared into the crowd and didn't even return to the ring for the post-match celebration with his partners. We are told that instead, Hardy went into the crowd, followed by security, immediately after tagging out.

lol Jeff Hardy

Bad News Gertner 12-06-2021 12:17 AM

So sad

Sixx 12-06-2021 12:22 AM

He just needed his pills.

Mr. Nerfect 12-06-2021 04:05 AM

Not good. I hope he’s okay.

And you get mad at profane words. Shame Lock Jaw, SHHHHAAAAMMMMMMEEEEE!

Just saw a video of it. Looks like he clutched his chest after he dives for the hot tag. Seriously hope there's nothing wrong from a health standpoint..... and definitely hope he's not back on grandpa's cough medicine.

About 10:45 into the video

Looks to me like he got bored at a WWE show. Nothing to see here.

Gerard 12-06-2021 09:17 AM

Must have been something serious to have him walk out, his body must be a trainwreck after what he's put it through over the years.

I wouldn’t read too much into that. It looked like he just kinda rested his arm in his chest. It didn’t seem out of the ordinary.

Of course if he was drunk he was probably extra winded.

drave 12-06-2021 09:43 AM

I watched the match, he definitely didn't seem "fucked up" like he has been in the past. That match with Sting, that's all I can think of, but this looks different.

Either way man, it doesn't look good. if the dude did just take his ball and go home, whatever.

#1-norm-fan 12-06-2021 09:47 AM

If he did just take his ball and go home then I applaud him for doing it in style although he should have waited for a TV match.

Evil Vito 12-06-2021 09:47 AM

On the Broken Skull Sessions it sounded like Jeff had cleaned himself up again, but unfortunately for an addict, those demons can always come back.

Not sure what happened here but I hope he's OK.

erickman 12-06-2021 10:32 AM

hope he can get released so matt can take care of him. make him carpool with cm punk.

Would've loved to hear the commentary team scramble to cover that one with only buzzwords.

Fignuts 12-06-2021 12:17 PM

Ironically, this IS vintage Jeff hardy.

Loose Cannon 12-06-2021 04:13 PM

why did he go through the crowd to leave? I'm assuming wrestlers go to and from the ring via entrance way even at house shows? unless he now goes through the crowd with his gimmick or something? I haven't seen a match of his in a while.

the security guard bolted for him though lol

#1-norm-fan 12-06-2021 04:17 PM

Avoiding the immediate reaction from everyone in the back telling him to get the fuck back out there?

Or drugs.

Maybe both.

lol hightailed it through the crowd and out the back door. took the bus home

xrodmuc316 12-06-2021 08:11 PM

Maybe he shit himself?

Evil Vito 12-07-2021 08:49 AM

Matt Hardy said he spoke to Jeff and he's doing OK. He won't divulge their private conversation or speak on his behalf, but he's apparently fine.

XL 12-07-2021 09:08 AM

Any chance he got concussed during the match. Might explain why he left through the crowd if he was confused.

Sixx 12-07-2021 09:24 AM

This shit is just boring.

This is what I was thinking, based on his movement and just overall..... presence I guess?

Jordan 12-07-2021 11:01 AM

I don't want to jump to conclusions because as likely as Jeff falling back and using again, the idea that he was concussed or injured seems just as likely. He didn't appear to be high from what I saw. Certainly not like the TNA incident.

Curious that we haven't had this addressed officially.

It does seem like a concussion/head injury or some substance though simply because he left through the crowd instead of going through the ramp. That's odd.

Jordan 12-07-2021 11:06 AM

Matt's tweet could've gone into some detail if it was an injury. Makes more sense for him to leave it to Jeff to explain if he relapsed or sharted and felt he had punched out his bump card and one more would've been a total mess.

Seanny One Ball 12-08-2021 08:05 AM

Blame Vince

Mr. Nerfect 12-08-2021 12:48 PM

It’s Vince McMahon back to his Victory Road ‘11 ways.

He gone.

Evil Vito 12-09-2021 10:53 AM

Preliminary reports suggest that he was released after declining WWE's offer of rehab. If I were to interpret that charitably, I'd say that it doesn't necessarily mean that he's refusing help, just that he's refusing help through the company.

Not to downplay whatever issues he's going through at the moment, but if he wanted out of his contract, and knew that refusing their offer would get him there, there's nothing stopping him now from pursuing help through other means.

Hopefully he cleans himself up before anything else.

Jordan 12-09-2021 11:11 AM

I am looking forward to hearing the real story on this.

Bad News Gertner 12-09-2021 11:21 AM

Dude has young kids. If he wants to be all Marty Jannetty and be a giant mess than so be it. But when there's kids involved it just brings it to another level.

Evil Vito 12-09-2021 11:21 AM

Addiction is a life-long battle unfortunately, I hope that being away from WWE's schedule is a blessing in disguise for him.

Fignuts 12-09-2021 01:31 PM

PLOT TWIST: He faked being fucked up so they would give him the ultimatum.

Historically, it hasn’t. The dude’s been so lucky to flirt with self-destruction and more or less come out of it unscathed. Who knows the toll it takes on his family and friends? I hope he sorts his shit out.

Fignuts 12-09-2021 01:58 PM

Someone get this man some DDP Yoga.

Didn't somebody else do something similar before?

In any case, I'm not going to assume he relapsed until there's proof. I am of the mind he prob'ly doesn't like where WWE is headed and took the likes of Scotty 2 Hotty and Beth Phoenix exits to heart, but found his own "escape hatch"... just way more literally out the back door of a house show.
