So, Margot Robbie and Suicide Squad director David Ayer are teaming back up to make "Gotham City Sirens". Margot Robbie will be returning as Harley Quinn.

But, I'm not sure who would fill out the rest of the slots. Poison Ivy and Catwoman pretty much gotta be locks. Huntress and Batgirl, too?

If they know how they know how.

SlickyTrickyDamon 12-15-2016 12:59 AM

But they don't. If they did they would have some women/minorities in the panel.

Kalyx triaD 12-15-2016 07:34 PM

I don't follow that logic. Do you think I have more right to speak on this issue because I'm black?

That is the mindset.
If i am not Black how do i have the right to talk about Black issues? How do I know? A white man talking about black issues is nothing more than #whiteprivilege.

We just fired two Black Cashiers for theft, and not even smart theft at that.. stupid shit, response? Fired them because they were black and the person doing the firing was racist.

Kalyx triaD 12-15-2016 08:55 PM

The mindset is flawed. Diversity isn't a 'black' or 'female' issue. If anything it's an envy "issue", because, nobody talks about diversity in hispanic or afrocentric media. Nobody says "#BETAwardsSoBlack". But then the BET awards don't have the clout Grammys do.

Kalyx triaD 12-15-2016 08:58 PM

And it's counter productive; taking the fact that Hollywood, lib as it is, is run majorly by White Males, what could women and ethnics do to fix it besides consultatio-

OOHHHHHH

Sixx 01-30-2017 10:49 AM

wow, hollywood is apparently obsessed with remakes/spin-offs of famous movies with female cast.

just read about ocean's eight starring sandra bullock, cate blanchett, rhiana, etc.

ClockShot 01-30-2017 08:02 PM

Peter Capaldi's finished with Doctor Who. The upcoming season and the Christmas special at the end of the year will wrap up his run.

According to Variety, Ben Affleck recently dropped out as the director for the new Batman film. Official reason given was Affleck wanting to be more focused on the acting side for the film but unofficial reason seems to be wanting to reduce his workload considering he's also working on a new Justice League film.

McLegend 02-02-2017 06:17 PM

Is he still writing it? Also directing and starring in that movie would have been crazy.

Emperor Smeat 02-02-2017 06:36 PM

The initial script for it had been done for a while. I'd assume he finally got exhausted from all the work that was being put into the 3 DC films he signed up for.

If the new Batman film ends up being released next year, that would be 3 films done within a 4-5 year span for him.

Sixx 02-02-2017 06:40 PM

he dropped out of writing as well. they got some new guy, read about this today, don't remember the name.

affleck is only gonna produce and star.

Seanny One Ball 02-02-2017 10:13 PM

That's a more manageable workload!

He won't want to be considered solely responsible for all the flack that hits the next one after the last one took a pasting.
Smart move. I heard Joel Schumacher was free...

Apparently South Park is going to drop the Mr Garrison/Trump stuff from next season's story because the creators felt their satire plans couldn't top the stuff Trump was doing in real life.

Was making it hard for them to come up with something interesting to ridicule Trump since his actions so far have been "way funnier than anything we could come up with" for the wrong reasons. Also because the Trump stuff from last season was never planned to go beyond a few episodes before his surprise election win which made them to drop a lot of their original plans for the overall storyline.

Quote:

“We were really trying to make fun of what was going on, but we couldn’t keep up,” said Parker in an interview with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. “It was, like, what was actually happening was way funnier than anything we could come up with. You know what I mean? So … we decided to just kind of back off and let them do their comedy and we’ll do ours.”

ClockShot 02-03-2017 08:40 PM

I'd like to know how they're gonna work that?

Garrison gets impeached? Finally snaps and resigns from office? Whacked?

Seanny One Ball 02-03-2017 09:33 PM

Anyone looking forward to the reinvention of Scarface?
Diego Luna signed on to star in the lead role and Antoine Fuqua dropped out of directing it. Sounds like they are making a Mexican Scarface, could be good. There were 50 odd years between the original and remake and it must be over 30 since that so hopefully it's taken on by the right director because it could easily underwhelm.

Pacino's Scarface is no masterpiece but it is iconic and great fun.

Kalyx triaD 02-03-2017 10:56 PM

That 80s spark is essential to me but I think there's room for darker stuff given all the crime drama that rose tv since the movie.

Seanny One Ball 02-04-2017 01:50 PM

The soundtrack will surely pale in comparison to the sheer eighties-ness of the Pacino film.
At least Diego Luna won't have to make a ridiculous attempt at the Cuban accent this time mang.

Kalyx triaD 02-04-2017 10:49 PM

Part of the charm tbh

Seanny One Ball 02-06-2017 12:03 PM

F. Murray Abraham gets no credit for this movie. Sometimes I forget he's even in it.

Warner Bros currently rumored to be in talks with the director of Kingsman: The Secret Service, Matthew Vaughn, to be the director for Superman: Man of Steel 2.

Vaughn teased years ago about being interested in working on a Superman movie and wouldn't go in a Dark Knight series or Man of Steel route in being serious for tone if he had his way.

He almost certainly won't have his way.

A new film in the Matrix series is reportedly in the works according to The Hollywood Reporter. Was originally reported to be a reboot of the series but instead will just be an expansion of the story from the previous films.

Film itself is in the early script stage with the co-writer of X-Men: The Last Stand and Avengers Assemble, Zak Penn, in talks to work on the project.

Quote:

Additionally, Michael B. Jordan (Fantastic Four, Creed, Black Panther) is being lined up to star in the reboot, though there is apparently a long way to go before anything is finalized. The Wachowskis, the siblings who wrote and directed the original and its sequels The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions, are not currently involved in the nascent project, though Warner Bros. reportedly want the directorial pair on board to some extent, even if it's just to give their blessings for the reboot to go ahead.

The original trilogy's producer, Joel Silver, is reportedly keen to be involved, but The Hollywood Reporter says Warner Bros. is wary of getting the Die Hard and Lethal Weapon producer on board because of his rumored strained relationship with the Wachowskis.

Seanny One Ball 03-17-2017 08:25 PM

Crazy how the Wachowski's were dudes back then, disappeared and emerged individually as incredibly ugly women.

Kalyx triaD 03-17-2017 11:24 PM

Zak Penn... No Wachowskis...

I dunno, man...

Wouldn't be so sure. They need Vaughn, not the other way around. If they want the guy, they'll let him make his Superman movie. Similar to the whole Reeves situation. I don't think he signs on unless they said to go ahead and make his Batman movie.

Destor 10-22-2017 11:44 AM

Dont think this is thread worthy: just discovered i csn turn off auto play on netflix...its a great day

Lock Jaw 11-28-2017 07:56 PM

Just read that they are making a live action "Daphne and Velma" movie. It will be a prequel to their adventures with The Scooby Gang.

Sixx 11-28-2017 08:02 PM

Is it gonna be porn? It's gonna be porn. Porn.

Lock Jaw 11-28-2017 08:06 PM

Well I assumed so.

Destor 11-28-2017 08:42 PM

Cant see what else it would be

Kalyx triaD 11-28-2017 10:36 PM

Scooby Doo without the pothead and his imaginary dog.

That's a bad bet.

Kalyx triaD 12-07-2017 09:36 AM

Mark Millar doesn't like CG villains in comic movies. Gave no solution to how one would depict Thanos or Doomsday on film, but boy is he cultured and oldschool, eh.

A.J.K 12-17-2017 03:01 PM

Great Scott!

Back to the Future marathon.

Fignuts 12-24-2017 01:59 AM

Another G.I.Joe movie coming in 2020.

Third times the charm?

Probably not.

Kalyx triaD 12-24-2017 07:22 PM

Assuming it's a reboot, they should reboot Transformers after Bumblebee and do a shared universe between the two and add MASK. No Bay.

Fignuts 12-24-2017 07:40 PM

They're also doing a Micronauts movie.

A.J.K 12-26-2017 05:57 PM

Rewatching The Terminator movies.
