Kinda can't believe this is real, but it is.

It's a prequel to Shrek. He's got Humpty Dumpty as his sidekick and a female counterpart named Kitty Softpaws that is basically Catwoman to Puss's Batman.

I enjoyed the first 2, but 3 was terrible.

Why does every time a channel does a Rocky marathon they always have to show the last scene from the previous Rocky movie? Ala Rocky III and Rock IV.

I don't need to see The Rocky and Apollo freeze frame twice in 45 seconds. Even though the freeze frame is awesome every time.

Jamie Foxx Joins Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained
TV Guide - July 5, 2011 7:20 PM PDT

The Oscar winner will play the titular character, a freed slave who tries to rescue his long-lost love, Broomhilda, from a plantation owner, Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio), with the help of a German bounty hunter, who will be played by Inglourious Basterds' Christoph Waltz. Fellow Tarantino alum Samuel L. Jackson also stars as Candie's slave, Stephen, while Kerry Washington, Foxx's Ray co-star, is in talks to play Broomhilda.

"I think, just to be able to work with Quentin Tarantino and Samuel Jackson, Leonardo DiCaprio, and to be able to tell a story that needs to be told," Foxx told CNN, explaining why he took the role. "If you're a fan of, I mean, you know — it's just amazing. It should be [an] amazing [thing]."

Tarantino originally offered the lead role to Will Smith, who turned it down. He then met with Idris Elba, Terrence Howard and Chris Tucker before casting Foxx, according to Variety.

Django Unchained is scheduled to hit theaters Christmas Day 2012.
Usually I wouldn't think much of a movie like this but it's a Quentin Tarantino movie so it's gonna be different and maybe has some crazy action and then you got DiCaprio along for the ride as well.

I'm the same. Also I'm glad the role went to Foxx. He seems to fit right compared to the other names.

Friday Night Lights star Adrianne Palicki, whose Wonder Woman pilot was rejected by NBC, is joining the cast of G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes. Palicki will play Lady Jaye, a Bryn Mawr educated covert operations specialist. She joins a cast with a number of returnees from the 2009 G.I. Joe film including Channing Tatum (Duke), Ray Park (Snake Eyes), and Lee Byung-hun (Storm Shadow) as well as new additions, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who has signed on to play Roadblock, D.J. Cotrona, who will take on the role of the shotgun-wielding, beret-wearing Flint, Elodie Yung, who is playing the ninja-trained Jinx, and rapper/actor RZA, who will play a martial arts guru known as the Blind Master, who trained both Snake Eyes and Jinx.

Since Lady Jaye (real name Alison R. Hart-Burnett) is usually depicted with fairly short hair, will this mean that Palicki will have to trim her bountiful locks? We should know soon because Paramount is rushing the Jon M. Chu-directed G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes into production so that it can be ready to debut next summer and fill the void in the studio’s schedule left because the Star Trek sequel won’t be anywhere near ready for the tentpole season in 2012.

According to Deadline, the studio wants Bruce Willis to play the original G.I. Joe, Joe Colton in the movie, but no deal has been signed.

Captain America will keep its patriotic full title in most of the world when the superhero adventure hits the big-screen.

Paramount Pictures and Marvel Studios gave distributors around the world the option of shortening the title of "Captain America: The First Avenger" to simply "The First Avenger," out of concern about anti-American sentiment.

But the only countries that took them up on it were Russia, Ukraine and South Korea.
FUCK YOU!!! Russia, Ukraine and South Korea

Kalyx triaD 07-06-2011 02:46 PM

Actually that makes sense, I approve.

You see... America, from the outside looking in, is a really fucked up country. I'm not sure of its chances with the hero dressed like our flag despite the name. We'll see, I guess.

CSL 07-06-2011 03:09 PM

anybody see The Shadow Line that ran on BBC with Chiwetel Ejiofor and Christopher Eccleston recently? Came across the DVD earlier, had no idea it existed so going to czech it out after I'm re-done with The West Wing.

Just read that David Hasslehoff is gonna play a porn star in season 4 of Sons of Anarchy. Can't wait

Lock Jaw 07-07-2011 10:53 PM

Freakin' Doc Brown. Couldn't he have let Marty just go to the lake with his girlfriend? The dude just spent like a week in 1955, give him some time off. You don't need to drag him into the future right then. You have a time machine. You could have taken him in like a week or two or something. All the man wanted to do was go to the lake with his girlfriend, but then gets dragged into the future, and then alters the timeline, has to put that right, and then after that go into the past to rescue the Doc.

In the end, he didn't even go to the lake.

McLegend 07-07-2011 10:59 PM

Marty, you wore that to the lake?

Lock Jaw 07-07-2011 11:05 PM

Yeah, his family thought he was at the lake. Instead of going to the lake, though, he spent that time in the future/alternate present/past, and his girlfriend spent it sleeping on her porch.

McLegend 07-07-2011 11:23 PM

Who are you suppose to be? Clint Eastwood?

McLegend 07-08-2011 01:51 PM

So would "The Ultimate Lost and Philisophy think together, die alone" be a good book to get if you are just getting into Lost?

McLegend 07-08-2011 01:56 PM

Screw it I'm getting it. Going with my instincts.

A need to say first of all that I have not finished this book, and probably never will.

I love Lost and really wanted to read a book to explain the things that I missed when watching it. This book didn't appear to be it instead concentrating on what were to me, unknown Greek Mythology and the like. This would have been fine if the book concentrated on Lost and dipped into these philosophies but it didn't.

Things may improve later on in the book but I fear I'll never know.

McLegend 07-08-2011 03:46 PM

I've read some good reviews.

ooof. I'll stick up for most stupid Adam Sandler films, especially the older ones, because I was such a mark for him/them growing up but not playing members of the same family, it's almost like he's doing it on purpose

Droford 07-21-2011 09:01 PM
