No, we can't agree on this. Why? Because - most of us play Mortal Kombat for the fighting aspect and generally don't view Mortal Kombat characters in a sexual way. Why? Because most of us have spoken to a real life woman before and aren't sexually repressed in any way shape or form. Yeah, it was one of the second season episodes if I recall. She plays the former lover of one of the main characters and the whole plot revolves trying to get her current lover out of Scorpion's clan. She was relatively unknown at the time but I remember watching a movie years later with her in it and I went, "Hey, that woman looks familiar."

Actually I should correct myself: The real plot of that episode was keeping Eva in essentially a bra as much as possible.

It had a good run. Not Tekken 7 good, but a good run all the same.

sf5 has had long support too. that said there still might be a final patch (but i doubt it)

Yeah but sf5 has been very devisive.

mk11 is pretty divisive in its own rights. its the grounded footsie of both games that turn a lot of the FGC off. lower barrier of entry. lower top end skill ceiling. less room for improvisational combos.

all these things make for a better game for the masses but not for the die hards.
tekken is the apex of precision on fighting games. people who love frame perfect inputs and the like. reaches a small casual audience because of it but a crazy dedicated core audience (mostly korean.)

mk fandom seems very split on mk11. lotta people quickly went back to mkx and the tournies for mkx are popping back up already. after the bulk of the casual nrs fandom moves onto whatever the next project is id wager mkx will have the larger lasting active player base.

based off sales though i think the next game will have more in common with mk11/injustice 2 than mkx

Mk11 was devisive with the hard-core fans yes, but it it was universally praised by the casual fans. And no fighting game has nearly as big a casual fan base as mk. Except maybe Smash I guess.

Tekken 7 is without a doubt the best fighting game from this past generation of consoles though. Great for both entry level, and advanced players, nice tweaks to the already stellar gameplay, fantastic roster, and heaps of content.

The thing is Street Fighter 5 is still getting support. Hell, there are still 3 more characters that need to get dropped before it's all said and done.
