Jacques Rougeau is amazing

Emperor Smeat 04-18-2020 07:56 PM

Just finished watching the Snuka episode and wow at the story of Vince calling Nancy's family offering them money while police detective were in their house at the time.

Was a pretty great episode overall and one of the series best episodes from start to finish.

ozzman6669 04-18-2020 08:50 PM

I rewatched Snuka's episode and I think it's the second worst of the series after Moolah's, absolutely nothing new was said, it still the same rumors and he says-she says with nothing to back it up, they couldn't even get someone to say that the meeting with Vince really happened, yes the cop looks like he's lying but you can"t send someone to jail with that !! Even for Fatu, he start the episode saying that he don't remember Nancy's name and never talked to her and then at the end he sudenly remember after 36 years he remember that he was traveling with them !!

I'm not certain it was Vince. I think it possibly could have been Phil Zacko who was the local promoter for Vince and long time right hand man for Vince Sr.

Season 3 could be... Tammy Sytch/Chris Candido, Teddy Hart, Patterson Ring Boys, Steroid Trial, Chyna, Deathmatch Wrestling, Wrestler’s Court...

Could also do an episode on urban legends. Investigate if they are true. Macho/Stephanie, Sid shits his pants, Hogan black eye at Mania 9, different Warriors/Taker etc..

What's the Hogan WM9 black eye story/rumor? It sounds vaguely familiar but I guess I don't know the details.

That Hogan’s black eye cake from Savage in a bar fight instead of the jet ski accident.

I guess I never really heard or paid as much attention to that story though it does sound vaguely familiar. Thanks!

The guys who co-wrote the Montreal Wrestling history book(Mad Dogs, Midgets and Screwjobs) that I own did a lot of the behind the scenes work on the Dino Bravo episode (Pat Laprade and Bertrand Hebert) so it should be well done.

slik 04-21-2020 11:08 PM

The Mountie explaining what a booker is to an audience who already knows

Bad News Gertner 04-21-2020 11:11 PM

Oh wow, Gino Brito.

I love these random names that appear on these shows

slik 04-21-2020 11:14 PM

Dino is the HH of Montreal

"I'm not doing the job tonight frère"

Bad News Gertner 04-21-2020 11:19 PM

Lol Jacques Rougeau is just the greatest. An unabashed bullshitter.

rez 04-21-2020 11:36 PM

just watched part II of Benoit...emotional

slik 04-21-2020 11:39 PM

Why is a six year old getting home from ballet lessons at 12:30 AM

slik 04-22-2020 12:15 AM

Rick Martel definitely knows more but can't say for his own safety.

Bad News Gertner 04-22-2020 12:20 AM

Ah my fucking Vice conked out so I gotta watch it tomorrow.

Ol Dirty Dastard 04-22-2020 09:54 AM

ugh, speaking that ugly Montreal French.

Seanny One Ball 04-22-2020 09:59 AM

The YouTube cut of this is fucking impossible to watch.

Constant blank spots.

Ol Dirty Dastard 04-22-2020 11:18 AM

not an uninteresting story, but really, who fucking cares about Dino Bravo?

Seanny One Ball 04-22-2020 12:19 PM

Yeah I really didn't enjoy it too much

Bad News Gertner 04-22-2020 12:37 PM

Lol I care about Dino Bravo

Gonna watch it tonight. For whatever reason Vice kept skipping for me last night so I only saw the first 10 minutes. I'll be able to stream it tonight.

Seanny One Ball 04-22-2020 12:47 PM

I think Vice must have been skipping for a lot of people because the only two uploads I could find on YouTube were both fucked. Those loading dots kept appearing every few minutes.

Wait. What’s your problem with Conrad Thompson?

Supreme Olajuwon 04-22-2020 03:13 PM

The first half of the episode is pretty skippable. The second half was better when they actually talked about the murder, but nowhere close to as good as the other murder episodes they’ve done.

His shows all following the same format "Conrad reads from the Observer , so and so reacts". His ad reads are atrocious and you can tell when Conrad isn't interested in a topic because he acts like a baby.

Bad News Gertner 04-22-2020 04:45 PM

Grilling JR is the only listenable show he does. Haven't listened to the Arn show yet, but it looks like the same format like every other show he does.

Big Vic 04-22-2020 05:31 PM

I miss hb2ks podcast

Fenix122 04-22-2020 05:46 PM

Just started watching these last night. Currently on the Vino Hernandez episode and really looking forward to the others. The Bruiser Brody episode is prob my favorite so far.

Lol I couldn't understand half of them.

Speak english not english!

Bad News Gertner 04-22-2020 06:25 PM

Dr. D David Schultz next week. Not too sure how they are going to get an hour out of the Stossel incident.

It's Dr.D so prepare for a nice dose of bullshit mixed with entertainment

Bad News Gertner 04-22-2020 06:28 PM

Then it's Herb Abrams and the UWF. I have so many awesome stories about Herb and they are all amazing. Can't wait for this episode.

Fenix122 04-22-2020 08:01 PM

On the New Jack episode now and holy shit it is wild

Bad News Gertner 04-22-2020 08:29 PM

Just finished the Dino Bravo episode. Pretty good episode. His daughter is hott.

rez 04-22-2020 11:59 PM

Are the episodes honestly worth watching outside of Benoit?

Damian Rey 2.0 04-23-2020 12:22 AM

The New Jack episode was good, as was the Snuka one.

If you liked Benoit watch Brody, Von Erichs, New Jack and Snuka for sure. I thought they were all better than Benoit to be honest, they tell you more that you may not know about.

Droford 04-23-2020 03:03 AM

Dino Bravo ep had too much French. I took 4 years of French and it made me realize how much time I wasted

Seanny One Ball 04-23-2020 09:48 AM

Learning French in the hopes of understanding a French Canadian is a bit like trying to play Blackjack at a Texas Hold Em table.

Emperor Smeat 04-23-2020 11:30 PM

Besides Season 3 likely being a lock, seems VICE is also considering a potential spin-off series for non-wrestling topics based on the positive reception Dark Side of the Ring series has been generating for the network.
