Ya. I only found one somewhat challenging so far. Well, 2 since the first major test of strength I did took a few tries.

I habe a feeling that in the future zelda might be puzzless... |
Ya, combat is simple now. The first 20 or so hours I loved getting into combat with random enemies but now i just skip as many as possible.
Also, was I ever suppose to get that horse Epona or whatever the horse name Is? I have just been running everywhere. |
Epona is a specific horse younget through an Amiibo...
But you can tame any horse you encounter. Also killing enemies is important for the drops. Late game armor upgrades are costly! |
Fucked Gannon up. Rode a horse for like 30 seconds when I started the game and they put me on one at the end. Took me forever to get the controls down
Wonderful game. Wish they would have combined the shrines to have less but longer/more difficult ones. Usually find myself puzzled a lot with Zelda games but nothing really stood out as here. Was a blast though. Love open world games. Zora Domain was awesome. Felt like I was going to war also when I went into the castle which was great. |
Has anyone else fought the giant "Hinox" skeleton yet? I fought the sand worm. Are there any other "One off" minibosses?

And there are 4 locations that spawn the sand worm.

Link should be able to scatter shot with his bow like Hanzo.
Also, if/when a new Smash game comes out, they need to change Link's final smash to ryu ga waga teki wo kurau |
According to reports, upcoming DLC pack will support the ability to have a second save file for the game although only for the new Master Mode.
This was how it was explained in the comments: Quote:

Does it really only have one save file now?
Wowwwwww |
Its one main save file and several auto-save files on the side since the game is constantly saving every so often.
|
Wowwww that seems really bad and stupid
|
It's odd.
Really glad I did Windblight Ganon last feel like I would be 'cheating' by constantly making up drafts during the Zoras Domain trail part. |
Older games used to be just 3 main save files but no auto-saves on the side. Seems Nintendo borrowed Square Enix's handheld games saving model when they designed that part of the game.
|
Just seems bad...... I know growing in a family with brothers all playing the same copy of a game.... it would have been total wank pheasant if we couldn't each have our own saved game.......
|
I mean, it is no big deal to most adult single players..... but to their demographic of kids (who probably have siblings) there should def be more than one save file for them.....

Phew..... ok, good..... carry on everybody......

First DLC pack was revealed to be around 456 MB in size for the Switch version and around 3.7 GB in size for the Wii U version.

Dissapointed that outside of the korok mask (and possibly majoras mask [details i haven't seen on it]) that none of the dlc offer new features. Though the phantom armor is a great replacement for the barbarian armor.
|
My brother bought a Switch, watching him play this now, and played a bit myself. Seems bad. Way too complex, too much "customization". Too many dealing with items and weapons and stuff.
Seems like they just made it "too big" and "too much". Plus you can't even roll. How you supposed to get anywhere, just by running?! |
Yeah I miss the combat roll. But really the sprint is a good replacement.
Even if jump is mapped to the Y button for same arcane reason. |

But then what would I bitch about? The difficulty?
|

I'm sorry because I got confused. Jump was mapped to X, Y is attack, B was sprint. I have switch Y and B in my game.
Sorry. |
Anyone buy the DLC? Is it worth it?
|
i dunno. its not bad. if youre craving more content from this game style then go for it. youll get your money's worth
|
I bought breath of the wild like 6 months ago because I finally got a Switch and that was the only game I really wanted since I loved the NES and DS Zelda games and I havent been able to make much progress. The open world doesn't work that well, it is what AVGN refers to as an "Where the fuck do I go" game.
I really want to like this but each time I turn it on, I end up not knowing where to go and get bored with the huge game maps. Needed better quest system imo. |
Isn't there literally a button that tells you where to go?
Also the entire point of open worlds is that you don't have to go anywhere. You can just explore. Understandable if you like the old Zelda format but it's more of a preference than an objective criticism. |
even traditional zelda drops. you into the world. LTTP is the only one that guides you by the hand with big flashing numbers for each dungeon
|
Fuck's sake the original Zelda doesn't tell you a god damn thing outside of the worthless advice from the people in the caves.
|
good luck finding dungeon 8 without nintendo power
|
lol I still remember when some games were basically unbeatable unless you had Nintendo Power.
|
Wanna say Castlevania 2 was like that. Who the fuck knew to take that dumb orb and go randomly kneel down for 10 seconds in front of the westernmost wall in the game? Nintendo Power knew, that's who.
|
God damn Simons Quest.
