Either this thread hasn't been too active or I haven't been paying much attention... saw these "didn't see that coming" comments and thought Agents of SHIELD is back on and there's a major twist in the first episode.

Only to find that it wasn't the first episode.

They wanted von Strucker alive, they come in and see him being tortured, so instead of just shooting those guys (I think May even had guns ready?) they have to go prancing around, because they're such an awesome female ninja duo that's cool to look at doing high heels ninja stuff.

Also, I'm wondering if there's any chance in the second half of the season if S.H.I.E.L.D. meets up with S.W.O.R.D. and ends up getting back some of the stuff they shot off into space in Season 1.

That's if Shield shot stuff into space.

Was that a mid-season finale? I felt that way with last weeks episode, also. Great episode, was getting really frustrated when Fitz was like "COME ON WE'VE GOTTA GO!!!!" and Coulson is just casually strolling along. But they made it, so whatever. I'd have legged it in a second.

I just wonder how OverWard managed to make it off planet.

Coulson and Fitz went through the portal and they all ran to the flying chamber while Mack yelled to blow the place down..... but before the bombs hit, Ward-monster jumped through the still open portal.

How he escaped the explosions, I don't know. Monster was taken down by a flare on the other planet, so clearly it would not survive being blown up. Or at the very least, Ward's body wouldn't have.

But maybe he was able to grab on to the escape pod just until it cleared the debris...

Just watched Agent Carter... enjoyed it.... hope that Wilkes dude stays gone though.... Seemed like a very "unlikable" character akin to a Byron Saxton or something....
