I liked it, it wasn't groundbreaking but it was fun and sets the series up well. It's probably going to be getting compared to the films a lot which isn't really fair, but give it time and I'm fully confident we'll get typical Whedon character advancement as time goes on. You can already see several of his character templates. I'm glad they just come out and reference everything from Avengers straight up rather than the winking and nodding that was going on a bit in Iron man 3. I get why they did that in Iron Man, I just prefer it this way.

what was the explanation for coulston being alive?

SPOILER: show |
COULSON LIVES!
Until we're told he's actually the Vision and Coulson's brainwaves and memories were uploaded into it. |
I enjoyed it. It has been too long since I watched a show actually on its premiere. I'm going to give this one a shot!
So putting some more perspective into it, I'll give you something other than "Ugh. That was poor."
I think the show has potential. The dialogue was at an almost terrible level and outside of the Asian woman I thought most of the actors were really rough. Even Coulson doesn't seem to mesh with the style and feel of the show. He just feels really out of place. I did like the tie in to Iron Man 3 with the antagonist, though, and I can see it getting better as time goes on. |
I wish they would have just gone out and made Gunn be Luke Cage. Seemed kind of like a "half-measure". When they teased the thing with Sky with him going public and stuff, thought for sure it was leading to Heroes for Hire and was like "Damn, they are really going all out with this thing EXCEPT for actually calling him Luke Cage"
I thought he was Luke Cage for a hot minute.
I think there was a shot of Sky deleting him from various databases and stuff, so theoretically he can still be set up with a "new identity".
I really hope that they get a rival organization to feud with. Hydra/AIM/Leviathan/H.A.M.M.E.R. or anything.
Hmm. It was alright I guess.
pretty stale imo
I'm willing to let it develop before passing my final judgement upon it.
It was enjoyable. Next episode will be the make or break. 100 times better than Sleeping Hallow ><.
Missed the start of the episode. Was it pre or post Avengers?
Post
Hmmm.
So the centipede thing, was that alien technology from the battle that a doctor formulated or?? |
Hopefully gets better

Anywhere I can watch it online?

Hulu
I loved this.
My only complaint about very first episode is the overuse of the word "weird".
I'm looking forward to this tonight... however there is also the start of the NHL season... and I am in the stone age with no pvr
On a side note, I like how Coulson has become like the new Harley Quinn; as in, he was such a minor character in the onset as a tie leading into Avengers, and now he's snowballed into beloved cannon.

Much better episode this week. I can see myself coming to really like this show.
Marked out at the end. |
Just starting with the pilot episode. Officially hooked as much as when TSCC Season 1 came out in 2008.
Episode 2 was probably better than episode 1, cool.
SPOILER: show |
It's definitely gonna get better once the characters become more fleshed out, we see some of their backstories and there's a longer story arc, but I'm already enjoying it immensely. Hope they continue to have the occasional cameo here and there. Guessing they'll bring someone in for the season finale, but hopefully for the odd episode throughout as well.
My one tiny gripe is that Coulson is a million times better as a comic relief character than as an authorititative figure. |
Missed a part at the end because my dog stepped on the remote:
SPOILER: show Really enjoying the show so far, even with the super cheesy dialogue. |
The message said
"Rising Tide in a holding pattern Planning to go dark What is your status?" To which she replied "I'm in." |
What is the Rising Tide? What are their goals, what are their plans? These are questions that I've asked myself from day one. Are they trying to bring SHIELD out into the light? Pretty sure they are. Are they trying to expose to the people that there's a secret organization that basically runs the whole world? Pretty sure nobody really cares and if they did, they'd be glad someone's there to defend them from threats of that magnitude.
Be interesting to see how this develops. |
Really liked the second episode.
Hope it gets better, it is showing some promise
"IT HAD A BAR! A really nice one..." :'(
Loved Fury popping up.
I'm enjoying it so far.
