The Falcon and The Winter Soldier

Just watched the first episode. Pretty great already.

owenbunny 03-19-2021 11:14 PM

Bad Bunny should play Baron Zemo

Good build up episode. Wish they would have had 2 episodes like they did when Wandavision aired.

M-A-G 03-20-2021 08:06 AM

I'm loving these shows. They may be about secondary characters but they're still important and interesting characters and deserve a longer showcase in the spotlight, in my opinion. Seeing that familiar face pop up again in that opening sequence was a nice callback.

Seanny One Ball 03-20-2021 06:13 PM

I liked it a lot.
Great intro action and later on we find out about Avenger finances.
I'd probably have sold the shield, that stuff seems to be worth a pretty penny.

M-A-G 03-26-2021 11:54 AM

Second episode is sweet as fuck.

Seanny One Ball 03-26-2021 08:43 PM

Interesting things going down in the MCU within this show.
Big things.

Lock Jaw 03-27-2021 12:55 AM

Love having a sweet action sequence in each episode

Loving the music in the show too... and the callbacks to the Captain America soundtracks...

rez 03-27-2021 04:53 AM

just finished ep 2. I am a fan of this buddy cop series

rez 03-27-2021 04:57 AM

I think all of Wakanda raped Bucky....

Yeah not sure I'm trusting Great Value Cap in the slightest.

There's something...off about him.

Lock Jaw 03-28-2021 08:55 PM

He's a good guy in the comics so I'm thinking he's on the up and up, he's just got a different style.

Shadow 03-29-2021 09:55 AM

You might want to look up US Agent. Cause in the comics, he didn't start out as a good guy at all.

Fignuts 03-29-2021 11:12 PM

He was an antagonist but I wouldn't label him a villain. He was an anti hero at worst.

M-A-G 03-30-2021 08:46 PM

His problem is that he's more jingoistic than Rogers. If he'd been in Civil War he'd have signed the Sokovia Accords without question if Ross had asked.

M-A-G 04-02-2021 06:11 AM

The newest episode, well, really the whole series, is worth it if only
SPOILER: show
to watch Zemo cut a rug no matter how brief.

Damian Rey 2.0 04-02-2021 09:13 PM

Halfway thru episode 3. Love it. Sam and Bucky have such a great chemistry.

Lock Jaw 04-02-2021 10:57 PM

Another great episode. A lot happened.

M-A-G 04-03-2021 12:25 AM

Wait, this sucker is only six episodes? BOOOOOOO!

Lock Jaw 04-03-2021 12:52 PM

Makes things actually move, though. So far a lot better than WandaVision in that regard which was more of a slow extended build with a bunch of throwaway stuff in there too. This feels like so much is constantly happening and nearly everything is actually important.

XL 04-04-2021 04:13 PM

Loved episode 3. I’m a sucker for “buddy cop”/“odd couple” schtick and this delivered both with Falcon/Bucky/Zemo.

Shadow 04-04-2021 11:11 PM

Zemo being added to this is pretty much perfect. Like seriously perfect. I can't wait for more.

Damian Rey 2.0 04-05-2021 12:05 AM

It was already good with the chemistry between Sam and Bucky. Zemo just adds to it and makes it that much better.

Yes. In "Civil War", the scene where Rogers kisses Sharon and it cuts to Sam and Bucky in the car is a great example of this. Just Sam alone nodding his head in approval would have been fine; but Sam AND Bucky nodding makes it hilarious. Daniel Bruhl getting to have some comedic moments is great stuff.

Lock Jaw 04-05-2021 10:49 AM

Speaking of Steve kissing Sharon.... seems odd that he would never have tried to find her after... just left her on her own on the run and in hiding in Madripoor for years...

M-A-G 04-05-2021 10:54 AM

Maybe he did try but Sharon is just too damn fine...er, too damn good?

In Civil War:

Bucky: Can you move your seat up?
Falcon: No.
Bucky: *glowers and slides over*

In this show:

Falcon: You're not going to move your seat up, are you?
Bucky: Nope

M-A-G 04-05-2021 12:04 PM

YES! I loved that callback.

M-A-G 04-09-2021 04:06 AM

Oh, man, episode four. Shit just got real!

Fignuts 04-09-2021 11:24 AM

Yeah this episode was great. Zero casually sipping his drink while chaos erupted around him was hilarious.

Also, Sharon is definitely the power broker.

Innovator 04-09-2021 01:55 PM

Walker killed a guy

M-A-G 04-10-2021 01:10 AM

Yeah, but he did it for America so it's OK. :)

Seanny One Ball 04-10-2021 07:29 PM

Just once in my life I want to be the guy that drinks the iridescent blue ampoule.

But it would probably just give me super haemorrhoids...

Shadow 04-10-2021 11:14 PM

That last shot of the episode was....perfect.

M-A-G 04-16-2021 04:32 AM

LOL, if those doofuses on the right lost their shit over the scene where Sam has a run-in with the police, I can only imagine how they're going to react to this latest episode.

El Vaquero de Infierno 04-16-2021 11:55 AM

I've watched episodes 1 to 4 today (I'm going to watch epi 5 soon), and it is good stuff. I like how these MCU shows have been able to explore, to a certain extent, the impact of the Blip on the world, which is something you wouldn't necessarily see in the films. I'd like to see them explore this aspect further.

Fignuts 04-16-2021 03:49 PM

Episode 5 was great. Perfect setup episode, for the finale.

Lock Jaw 04-16-2021 11:13 PM

Amazing episode. Start off with some action, then move into the perfect breather right before the finale.

Fignuts 04-16-2021 11:18 PM

SPOILER: show
Kind of weird casting for Contessa. Not sure Dreyfus is a good fit. Also, why does she have a purple streak in her hair? It should be white.
