So now the Christmas/New Year madness is out of the way I've finally been able to download this and get started on it.

First up, choices for episode one:

SPOILER: show

1 - Chose to stay the night in the junk yard (along with 52.8% of others)
2 - Shot the driver (44.4%)
3 - Got locked up (94.5%)
4 - Went with Tripp to the Junk Yard (52%)
5 - Stayed with Clementine (as if this was really a choice - 83.7%)

General feelings as I played through the first episode:

- Continued on with my save from Season 2, took me a second to remember who AJ was and got choked up a little at remembering that I left Kenny at the gates of Wellington.
- I'm liking the new game engine, it's so nice not to have screen/audio tearing ever other scene and it looks great. I haven't played the Batman episodes yet so this is my first experience with it. So far, so good.
- I liked the fact they went right back to the begining of Javier's story, when the outbreak started. I appreciate they are trying to build up these charcters and it's still early days but.....it wasn't Clementine. I wanted the continuation of my Clem right from the get go, not starting with a fresh group of people again. I'm still making 'my' choices on what I feel is right, but at the moment I just don't care to be in control of the new group. I wanted to be in control of Clementine.
- But when Clem did show up :love::love:
- But she has changed into a cold hearted loner :'(:'(:'(
- I wondered if the blue car at the junk yard (after getting to the ambulance) was the same car from 400 Days, couldn't say for sure but it did look like it with the damage it had and the colour/features.
- When Clem recalled part of her history to Javi :'(
- Prescott seems a pretty interesting place, obviously well established and connects with other places (Wellington maybe?)
- Cool little flashback as to why Clem is so cold hearted (maybe Wellington no longer exists?)
- Did not see Mari getting killed off, was quite a shock. She never did get her candy bar :'(

Disturbed316 01-04-2017 06:17 PM

And now for episode two:

SPOILER: show

Choices:

1 - Told David that Kate wanted to leave him (along with 60% of others)
2 - Opened fire at Prescott (57.1%)
3 - Took Jesus at his word (83.5%)
4 - Killed Conrad (89.3%)
5 - Gave into Max's demands (95.1%)

General thoughts playing through episode two:

- Liking the flashbacks into Javier's past, some obvious sexual tension between Javi and Kate, which explains the flirting. David is/was such a dick brother.
- Jeez, I thought burying that kid in season one was bad, this was even worse.
- I find the thought of Clem driving hilarious, don't know why.
- I'm starting to get the feeling that at some point we'll need to make a Carly/Doug choice between Kate and Eleanor, but I hope to hell not.
- I also get the feeling Gabe is going to die in some really nasty/totally avoidable way trying to prove he's a man.
- Guess I spoke a little too soon about the slow down/screen tearing. Not hiddiously bad but when the action picked up before the title screen rolled it was noticable. Thankfully it was fine after that point.
- Clem just mentioned a man with a wife and a kid who was over protective of them....KENNY! :'(
- Totally shat myself thanks to the garage zombie.
- Kinda hoped the mysterious rooftop man was Kenny, slightly disappointment it was Jesus.
- Random thought during Clem's flashback, I wonder if we will ever find out what happened to Christa.
- Holy shit of a plot twist with Clem being in The New Frontier, didn't expect that at all from my little Clem :(
- Was happy to shoot that Conrad fucker, he was such a dick.
- Gabe is starting to get to Ben level of annoyance.
- Oh shit, plot twist number two! Did not expect David to show back up at the end.

Overall, a good start to season three, I just wish we were in control of Clem again.

Crimson 01-05-2017 03:06 PM

Wait, episode 2 is also out?

Yea hope we can control Clem again. She IS the series, hope they don't think people would get tired of her.

Episode 1 was good either way, I had forgotten my past choices and was not paying much attention at the beginning of this episode, but it reeled me in fast.

So you left Kenny? See I went with him, but no spoils

Disturbed316 01-05-2017 11:52 PM

Yup, got to Wellington and left him outside (cue man tears). I'm wondering if he'll turn up in later episodes as a flashback, but again, I want to know what happened to him next.

Yeah, ties that bind part one and two (two is technically episode two) were released at the same time.

Episode three is out next week, March 28th.

#BROKEN Hasney 03-23-2017 04:23 AM

The CEO of Telltale quit. Hopefully they can ditch his shitty engine now.

DAMN iNATOR 04-22-2017 07:34 AM

Episode 4 next week. April 25th!

Disturbed316 04-25-2017 02:33 AM

Just finished episode 3, really want to kill everyone at Richmond, douche bags.

Disturbed316 08-04-2017 09:38 PM

Finally finished off season 3 and overall felt it was pretty average. I just didn't get the same connection to Javier and co like I'd done in the previous seasons, so then I didn't really cared what happened to any of them, other than Clementine.

The biggest disappontment for me was not truely continuing Clementines story. After the cliffhanger of season two I really wanted to know what happened with Clem and also my Kenny. I barely got any answers and the ones I did were vauge at that. They just skipped over everything that happened after the end of season two.

While I've enjoyed this series I'm glad the next season will be it's last and more importantly that it will finish with Clementine.

DAMN iNATOR 08-05-2017 12:25 AM

I dunno, I'm pretty hyped for Season 4.

Would have been pissed if the date on that twitter post was april first.

Disturbed316 04-02-2018 04:18 PM

If Clementine dies I will NOT BE HAPPY.

Frank Drebin 04-02-2018 09:32 PM

The choice is yours.

Disturbed316 08-12-2018 03:15 AM

The Final Season launches this week, is anyone still interested and getting it?

Tom Guycott 08-13-2018 12:03 AM

Going back through this thread, I still say fuck Ben even all these years later.

Disturbed316 08-13-2018 04:15 AM

FUCK BEN FOREVER! :fu:

Yes and yes. Only because Clementine has been the intruiging character

Disturbed316 08-15-2018 01:55 AM

Soooooo just finished episode one. The first act was a lot longer than the remaining two, after taking a while to get going, it was soon over.

I'll post my choices when I next log on but my initial thoughts are (no episode spoilers):

- It took a good five minutes for my previous games to sync up so I could continue on my story. Thought it wasn't working initially as it was constantly finishing syncing and then restarting the process. So if it takes some time, don't panic.
-Combat mechanics are upgraded and pretty terrible. Controls and movement has been updated as well. I died 16 times (no lie, it's shown in my stats on my Xbox) due to the shittyness of the new combat, mainly at the part where you can activate the traps on the walkers. A not fun and very frustrating section.
-I was really gripped by the story and am so glad to be back in control of Clementine. New Frontier was such a let down storyline wise and I did not care for any of those characters, outside Clementine obviously. So yeah, I'm glad to be back in control on Clem, it's only going to get better from now on.
- The new group of survivors are an interesting bunch, some I prefer and some are dicks, like always.
-I completed the episode in around 2.5-3 hours, so standard Telltale length. I find it interesting they have added 'collectibles' that you can find this time. I got 4 out of 6 so missed out on the two achievements for collecting and placing them (when given the chance).
-Speaking of achievements, they are a bit more varied this time round. Usually they are just for completing the chapters/acts but there has been a bit more thought into them this time. It will require at least 2 play throughs to get the full 250 for the episode. I think I'll wait until all four episodes are out and completed before going back to mop up.

Overall I think it was a solid start to the final season, I look forward to the next episode.

Crimson 08-20-2018 07:31 PM

You weren't lying about the play mechanics, I died about 15 times total. It was a bit confusing at first but I didn't mind having to have to figure out exactly how to kill the zombies. Although I still prefer the old way.

I collected 3/6 artifacts, missed the bull skull and what looks like 2 plants

Disturbed316 04-04-2019 01:57 AM

SO after looking like we wouldn't be getting the end of Clementines story, I have now completed the final episode.

I'll admit the twist got me, wasn't at all how I was thinking it would end.

I think the first season is still my favourite, the emotional impact of that season is something I hadn't experienced before and haven't since. Season two is my next favourite, with Michonne and Season 3 in joint last.

Overall I've enjoyed this story and glad to have invested so much time in it. It's a shame we won't be getting any more from Telltale. But who knows, maybe SkyBound will keep something going.

Kimberli 04-11-2019 01:33 PM

I'm alright with Kenny. He has been through a lot and mostly been by my side to help when needed. He's not the perfect guy to have on your side, but I'll take him. I killed off Ben. He asked for it so I delivered, he caused too many problems. But then as soon as I did it I realized that I was just like the people of the town, killing off the weak and felt terrible uk betting sites
. Then Kenny ratted me out to fucking everyone in front of Clem, was pissed about that. In the end I have everyone but Ben with me. Going to be a sad final chapter I think.

WrestleRacer91 04-24-2019 02:05 PM

The Walking Dead: Season One is my all-time favorite game. I'm glad to see so many people also enjoy this great game. :D

Kimberli 05-14-2019 03:39 AM

Savio 11-05-2019 09:45 PM

Just finished this glad I was able to make sure AJ didn't grow up into a little sociopath sad Violet died though... it was her decision I guess.
