Joey Janela quitting AEW?
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Didn’t get on my flight for <a href="https://twitter.com/AEWrestling?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@AEWrestling</a> Dynamite tonight, I’m not going.... Nothing was addressed about the way I was eliminated from the match last week, I’m losing all the steam I created on my own through 14 years of hard work, right these wrongs and answer the phone..</p>— Bad Boy Joey Janela (@JANELABABY) <a href="https://twitter.com/JANELABABY/status/1199505961997807616?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">November 27, 2019</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Being upset about how he was eliminated from a match.... sure sign of quitting.... (not that I would care if he was gone)
hmm
AEW resorting to tactics like this because they are getting beat by the WWE's C show.
He trying to out mud show Cornette.
He should take some time off and get in shape
Good luck getting paid somewhere else
PLEASE! LET IT BE TRUE! LET IT BE TRUE! PLEASE!
But I thought they all had creative freedom to have great fun???
Every show needs a jobber
Yeah like Iron Mike Sharpe who looked like a fucking mountain. Not a piece of shit like Jelly Nutella.
I actually kind of feel sorry for these wrestlers sometimes. Like, as wrestlers they are fucking awful, but it's got to be hard when you get to this level and people see through that shit and you get all this criticism and a few thousdand extra people see you for the first time and call you shit.
It's borderline delusional though. What fucking steam? Hearing Omega call Joey Ryan "the hot thing." Like, by what standard? It's the wrestling bubble talking to itself. I don't wish mental harm on anyone, and when people have these public sort of sad sack moments, it's too often because they are going to shit, but if you are not going to get a gym membership and learn how to wrestle, go get some therapy. |
Seems like a work
Probably since his tweet specifically mentions the elimination as his issue and he's currently feuding with Spears who eliminated him last week.
Wouldn't be surprised if he's pulling a Moxley and this leads to an unsanctioned or hardcore match with Spears down the line. Maybe even makes a surprise appearance at GCW's show later tonight to play up on him being disgruntled since he retweeted their show card earlier. Or maybe just lulling Spears into some false security and attacks him on Dynamite possibly during his lights off entrance routine. |
Feel like it's a little early for a disgruntled employee gimmick tbh. They're just getting off the ground, not smart to make it look like your workers are already getting annoyed.
He's gonna show up as Batman
Fatman.
Meh. Doesn't make sense. Pentagon got tossed via shenanigans in that battle royal and he ain't complaining.
I don't think he's "working", considering he deleted the text. They really haven't done "anything" special with him yet. You really have to book him like a big time star to get the same type of reactions he had in GCW. But that is an indy... and he was "the biggest star" they had. It's tough. He should be more patient.

First time I ever saw him, I thought he was trash. He has done fuck all to change that perception.
Though kudos to him for outlasting Corny's run. I figured he would have been fired by now. |
I'm not into Janela at all but tbf to the guy my opinion of him has improved a lot since AEW started.

Feel like this is a parody of the ACH situation.
said he's having fun in AEW and is not going anywhere, and accepted an open challenge from Jon Moxley for Dynamite next week
