It's hard to keep up with all these finisher name changes in the E

Cena, MVP and now Drew McIntyre. Do they even bother to call Sheamus' Razor Edge? So much confusion :wavesad:

CSL 02-25-2010 08:02 PM

HOW FUCKING DARE THEY THE BASTARDS

The Franchise 02-25-2010 08:04 PM

Underhook DDT
Scott Drop
Future Shock DDT

I thought wrestlers named their finishers themselves ,if its true then maybe all the aforementioned wrestlers just felt like a change.

I always expected Triple H to change his finishers name and he never did

Xero 02-25-2010 08:44 PM

Double Underhook Midcard Plunge

GAME OVER would be a sweet name for the Pedigree.

You and I had the same idea

FourFifty 02-26-2010 12:54 AM

Pedigree- when the name outlasts the gimmick.

Juan 02-26-2010 12:54 AM

It must suck to be confused so easily.

I think they call it the Celtic Cross. Since Sheamus started using that move, I don't think the Smackdown announcers refer to Finlay's finisher by name anymore.

Anybody Thrilla 02-26-2010 01:51 PM

Where the hell has Finlay even been?

Volare 02-26-2010 02:42 PM

He got destroyed by Batista last match, and hasn't been on since I think.

Anybody Thrilla 02-26-2010 02:43 PM

Oh yeah, he technically won that match. That should put him in line for a WWE title shot. :shifty:

Apparently, CM Punk initially wanted to call his finishing move the GTFS, but John Cena vetoed that idea since his finishers were called the FU and STFU, respectively. Cena has since changed his finishers to the Attitude Adjustment and STF, dropping both the FU and the U, leaving CM Punk wishing he could put the F back in, though that ship has unfortunately sailed. They will soon unveil CM Punk's finisher's new name: Get To Sleep, You Have A Big Day Tomorrow, i.e. GTS-YHABDT.

Droford 02-26-2010 09:32 PM

They should call the GTS..Get To Shavin

treyace 02-27-2010 12:56 AM

They should call the pedigree the meal ticket

Mr. Nerfect 02-27-2010 02:43 AM

I didn't know that Drew McIntyre ever called the Double-Arm DDT the "Scot Drop" in the WWE. I only heard it referred to as the "Whoa! Nice DDT by Drew McIntyre!" (Todd Grisham), the "Kobashi DDT" (Matt Striker) or "Future Shock" (what seems to be its official name). I wouldn't call that it changing its name, but rather it finally getting one.

Wikipedia does say that they call Sheamus' finisher the "Celtic Cross," but I've seen it listed elsewhere as "Celtic Bomb." WWE.com calls it the "Crucifix Bomb." It definitely needs a name. I'd just go with "Laoch Cross." Sheamus wears the word "Laoch" on his trunks as part of his Celtic Warrior gimmick. Might as well run with it.

I also don't remember MVP's finishing move changing names. What are his moves now?

Xero 02-27-2010 02:55 AM

Sheamus' finisher has been called the Celtic Cross a bunch of times by announcers. Enough to make it the official name.

Mr. Nerfect 02-27-2010 02:57 AM

Fair enough. Doesn't surprise me. I don't watch RAW, because it's shit, so I only go by what sources I can find on the internet.

XL 02-27-2010 01:18 PM

Future Shock Drop is much better than Future Shock DDT.
