Drew McEntyre Depreciation Thread

honestly am i the only one that finds him bland and boring?

Juan 02-26-2010 09:12 PM

Yes, legendkillerRKO, you are the only person on the planet who feels this way.

Evil Vito 02-26-2010 09:13 PM

Who is Drew McEntyre?

Favre4Ever 02-26-2010 09:43 PM

I will say that he's built really weird physically. I'm trying to think of what jungle animal he most closely resembles.

HeartBreakMan2k 02-26-2010 09:48 PM

Shane Helms said he's an Avatar.

dronepool 02-26-2010 10:24 PM

I don't see why they're pushing him either, he looks boring and the name he decided to go by sounds corny. Not saying he sucks, I just don't see the hype within him.

The Show Off 02-26-2010 10:26 PM

So are we suppose to decrease the value of Drew McEntyre here?

I don't think the name was up to him, tbh

Mr. Nerfect 02-26-2010 10:29 PM

Good thing Drew McIntyre is on his way up. That way he won't be associated with this poor Drew McEntyre fellow.

I actually find it funny that a guy named legendkillerRKO started this thread, calling McIntyre boring and such; but to me it seems that McIntyre takes a lot out of Randy Orton's playbook.

orton can put on entertaining matches...i have yet to be entertained by Drew...i cant stand mysterio or r truth either but i at least admit they can entertain in the ring

CSL 02-26-2010 11:50 PM

McIntyre can put on entertaining matches. Only you aren't gonna see that when he's mostly squashing people.

James Steele 02-27-2010 12:10 AM

It could be the fact he is a charismaless fuckhead who has mastered the slow walk, evil glare, pompous smirk combo.

Wait, are you referring to Drew McIntyre or Randy Orton now?

DaVe 02-27-2010 01:48 AM

lol thats exactly what I was gonna ask. I really don't know, either.

Wolfpack423 02-27-2010 02:02 AM

Drew McIntyre is one of the dark horses of the WWE. I didn't like him when he was feuding with R-Truth, but he grew on me when he started feuding with John Morrison and I enjoy his methodical ring work and I like his music. How come there isn't a Sheamus Depreciation Thread? He deserves one, worst champion ever. I do like that he has the Razor's Edge and his theme but absolutely nothing else interests me. Drew McIntyre is doing a fine job right now.

Wishbone 02-27-2010 04:02 AM

Drew has potential but if they rush into things like they did with Sheamus it's just a car crash waiting to happen

That's why I think they ended his undefeated streak. They want to take their time with him.

Fignuts 02-27-2010 04:28 AM

Pretty confused about his streak ending with a stomp. What was that all about?

Mr. Nerfect 02-27-2010 05:11 AM

Yeah, that is a little odd.

Mr. Nerfect 02-27-2010 05:17 AM

I wanted to make a joke about Drew McIntyre going back in time to molest a fourteen-year old Stephanie, but my Photoshop skills suck, so my picture of Drew McIntyre next to the TARDIS did not work out. :o

;)

Mr. Nerfect 02-27-2010 05:42 AM

Yeah, but it's got that gross white background.

St. Jimmy 02-27-2010 05:45 AM

He sucks.

Skippord 02-27-2010 09:00 AM

I loved the way they ended his streak

Kane stomping him out was better than him losing to a choke slam I think

Mr. Nerfect 02-27-2010 09:58 AM

It sort of has that open-ended "BAM! Wow, that ended it" feel. Out of nowhere finishes, when done right, can make a guy look pretty good, because there is no way they could have planned for the loss.

Mr. JL 02-27-2010 10:06 AM

I like his DDT finisher, but other than that I am not so sure what the WWE see's in him.

Skippord 02-27-2010 10:11 AM

he's gorgeous

Mr. Nerfect 02-27-2010 10:13 AM

I think Drew "gets it." He must be rubbing people the right way. When he worked with Finlay, the two seemed to be working quite snug; and when he works with John Morrison, they seem to include a lot more "spots." He seems like the flexible kind of talent that works his opponent's match.

He's also got his character down-pat. It may not be the most extravagent one out there, but he's got the confidence and patience to do the slow heel walk, which we don't normally see guys as young as him do.

Anybody Thrilla 02-27-2010 07:42 PM

I was actually happy with McIntyre's undefeated streak ending. It takes a lot of pressure off the booking team when putting him in future matches. If you always have the fact that he's undefeated looming, it can end up making for some sketchy finishes down the right when they don't actually want him to win. At least he can just be a normal guy now.

Also, I loved how he freaked out about it. It showed that he's not always as calm and collected as he usually appears to be. There's more to the character.

DAMN iNATOR 02-27-2010 08:10 PM

I enjoyed seeing McIntyre "taken down a peg" as well. Just don't think it should've been against Kane of all people, and especially not with a shot at the MitB Qualifying match, as I honestly feel McIntyre could've contributed tremendously to that match.

Anybody Thrilla 02-27-2010 08:20 PM

McIntyre wouldn't have helped MiTB at all. Maybe he'll get an IC title program for the show.

Also, why not Kane? He's not really the jobber he was a few years ago.

Mr. Nerfect 02-27-2010 08:29 PM

I also did not want to see McIntyre in Money in the Bank. Wanted to see him defend the IC Title. Looks like we might get that.
