Essentially an HD Remix of the SNES version, you can also choose to play with the old-school 2D visuals. With no NFL license, the game will have customizable teams. The updated visuals will be 3D (not hi rez sprites), but the camera angle will remain. Being that Tecmo made a reputation for itself in the last decade, there will be hottie cheerleaders.

Of course there's online play for XBLA and PSN, as well as tournaments. Don't know about league play, though.

By customizable teams do they mean the whole shebangabang? Rosters, colors, logos, playbook, everything?

I honestly play Tecmo Super Bowl on the snesrom app on my Droid phone like once a day.

Now all XBLA needs is an old school baseball game because 2K is such trash. I would love Ken Griffey Jr. But I would settle for a Super Batter-Up.

I will never turn on the 3d graphics either, I already know that.

Oh yeah, those sports nerds definitly exsist. I would guess it take about 5 hours after launch to get a good roster.

Question: Never played Tecmo Bowl. is the demo gonna give me enough of a clue as to whether or not I'll enjoy it?

Ummmm I think it will give you enough to get the jist of it. Remeber there's no real teams though so if yooure just buying this for a casual experience, it might get a little boring. Also, people have been playing this for 20 years so expect to get trounced if you go online. But you might as well give the demo a shot.

I guess the lag is real bad if you aren't the host. I've been host every time so I'll try joining matches and seee how bad it is.
