New Robin Hood movie
 

I've just started hearing about this recently and am interested. Robin Hood Prince of Thieves is one of my favorite movies from growing up. I'm wondering what Russell Crowe and Ridley Scott do to it. Wikipedia said something about making Robin Hood an "outlaw," but then the plot synopsis sounded pretty much the same as Prince of Thieves.

Anybody have any thoughts?

I'm stoked about this. Prince of Thieves is an all-time favorite of mine and I think this will be great

I think it's supposed to be grittier, edgier.

Looks like a lot Gladiotor set in England replacing swords with arrows

Which is cool with me.

Robin Hood was an outlaw. Well, whoever the legend was based on was, anyway:D

But yeah fuck knows, I trust Ridley Scott to do it well. A 'gritty' Robin Hood might be interesting. England in the middle ages was after all a pretty gritty place.

Yeah I realized the "outlaw" thing after posting, but the way I read Wikipedia I thought implied that it was a twist on the common story, but I think I was just over-thinking.

The trailer makes it look horrible.

I take it you didn't like Gladiator then? That movie was fucking awesome. The Robin Hood story was awesome, and I am eager to see it with a dark, gritty perspective.

You know what..Ive never seen Gladiator in its entirety, only like the first 1/2 hour or so. Didn't really interest me much..
