OVW on TV?
Word comes to me from a freind of mine (who tends to get me info on about the same level as this place) that rather than reviving WCW or ECW, WWE may in fact fill their Saturday night slot with a televised production of Ohio Valley Wrestling. Sounds like a good idea to me, hope they go with it.

Hey, not a bad idea. Or how about OVW + recycled footage from classic matches?
|
That'd definitely be pretty cool, and more original. We can follow wrestlers from the minors to the majors.

I think that should be something to replace Confidential which USED to be a good show.
Either that or a show to revisit the WCW/ECW history. |
Isnt WWE Classics a WCW history lesson?
|
Personally I wouldn't put OVW on national TV. Most of the guys down there are not ready to be on TV yet, and I dont think OVW's product is up to suff with WWE TV standards.
|
I didn't think WWE had any actual connection with OVW other than their sharing of talent... Like isn't OVW a different company entirely?
|
Yes it is, but a lot of talent is under WWE developemental contract. I think it would be good, but some of the wrestlers down there have used way different gimmicks than what they use in WWE.
I would prefer to see Mark Magnus, Tank Toland, Nova, Seven, Bane, Synn, Kenny "The King" Bolin, etc. called up from OVW. :y: |

Dang, I must spread more rep. You got lucky this time... |
I like this idea better than ECW.

I don't think Danny Davis and Jim Cornette would go for this at all.

I don't see how this would work to their advantage, seeing as to how the WWE likes to contort people's gimmicks so much when they are brought up from OVW. If OVW was on TV, people would know that Nick "Eugene" Dinsmore isn't actually a retard and Dave "Leviathan" Batista is actually a sea creature.
