Gimmick Battle Royale
 

So, I just watched the Gimmick Battle Royale in some other thread. It got me thinking. At least some of those guys were treated as serious business and legitimate in their heyday... but then there they were many years later as big jokes to the eyes of the younger world.

Who are some contenders for a future Gimmick Battle Royale?

Sure, there are obvious ones like Boogeyman, Eugene, Simon Dean, Deuce 'N Domino.... but what about the "serious" people?

This topic came about because when I was watching Michael Hayes make his entrance into the Battle Royale, I got this mental picture of John Morrison as an old man, wearing one of his extravagant coats and coming out to fight a bunch of other old people.

That's the worst list for this context ever. Remind me what gimmick Justin Credible had other than being bland, or exactly what Dean Malenko did other than that short lived 'James Bond' type gimmick on Heat that no-one ever saw.

Why would you cross out Cor Von/Monty Brown? His aura is pretty fucking ridiculous, whether in TNA or WWE.

The entire match he could be looking over to the commentary position, making suggestive motions, then drags Cole away after he's eliminated.

I'd love to see a Gimmick Battle Royal done Royal Rumble style. Make it 15 gimmicks, 1 minute periods. Would make for some fun surprises.

I can't help but think that people like Doink will be brought back again, but I would love to see it be strictly people that weren't there last time and debuted after it happened. Every 10 years can be a "tribute to the last decade of gimmicks"

I'd love to see Lance Storm make it, honestly. Whether that means breaking out Dancing Lance Storm again or having his gimmick be "Serious", he debuted in WWF a few months after WMX7 so he could qualify. I feel like he is entitled to a WM match after getting bumped to Heat before WM19.</font>

<font color=goldenrod>If they did one in 2011 to feature "newer" gimmicks that weren't in the first one (and have also appeared in WWE within the previous 10 years), I'd probably have the following 20 guys in (assumes some guys are no longer actively wrestling with WWE, TNA, ROH, etc.)
